Chapter 115: Shameless, Truly Shameless

Gu General and Madam Gu assumed Ye Tianlin was backing down, only to hear him say, "There's something I forgot to tell you." He raised his gaze, his eyes cold. "I still remember when you took Xiaoluo to the hospital and tried to get rid of the baby she was carrying."

The Gu couple froze in place, utterly shocked.

"You'll be receiving a very special gift soon," Ye Tianlin added icily.

Faced with his scorn, the couple exchanged glances, then stormed out with cold fury.

Ye Tianlin watched them leave, completely unbothered, as if nothing had happened. Turning to Liang Xiaoluo, he asked, "Where do you want to go today? I'll take you anywhere."

His public display of affection left Ye Lao on the verge of a stroke.

"Great! Just great!" Ye Lao raged. "You've completely infuriated the Gu family now."

Ye Tianlin shrugged nonchalantly. "Relax, Grandpa. They don't have what it takes to bring down the Ye family."

With that, he wrapped an arm around Liang Xiaoluo and strolled out the door.

Though Ye Lao kept shouting after him, Ye Tianlin ignored it. Today was dedicated to making up for the grievances Liang Xiaoluo had suffered because of him.

They spent the morning wandering the city. Around noon, Liang Xiaoluo mentioned wanting to see a movie, something she hadn't done in ages.

Ye Tianlin frowned. "Do all women like stuff like this?"

The ticket clerk added, "Sorry, we only have seats in the couples' section left. Is that okay?"

Before Liang Xiaoluo could respond, Ye Tianlin impatiently said, "Fine, couples' seats then."

She nodded in resignation, and they were soon seated in a private area within the couples-only screening room. The space was intimate, with two adjacent sofa chairs set apart from the rest. The dim lighting created an almost romantic atmosphere.

Ye Tianlin quickly took a liking to it.

"Xiaoluo, sit here," he said, already making himself comfortable.

Though she sensed his wolfish grin, she reassured herself. This is a public place—he wouldn't dare do anything inappropriate.

As the movie began, she focused intently on the screen, engrossed.

But Ye Tianlin was already restless, leaning closer to press a kiss on her slender neck.

"Ye Tianlin!" she whispered urgently, trying to push him away. "This movie is really good. Stop bothering me, okay?"

"No," he replied, pulling her closer.

"Ye Tianlin, stop it!" she hissed.

Despite the darkened room and the privacy of their seats, she couldn't shake the feeling of being watched.

"I'm just claiming what's mine," he murmured, planting a kiss at the corner of her lips.

"I'm not yours yet," she retorted.

"Close enough."

Before she could argue further, he silenced her with a kiss.

"Mmm!"

Her body stiffened, heat radiating through her as tension built.

Suddenly, from the next row over, a woman's voice broke out, "Oh, you're so naughty!"

Liang Xiaoluo froze, her cheeks flushed with embarrassment. What am I doing?

Panicked, she shoved Ye Tianlin away and quickly straightened herself.

"Ye Tianlin, cut it out!"

The movie was nearing its climax, and she didn't want to miss the ending.

Seeing her flustered state, Ye Tianlin relented with a sigh.

Instead, he pulled her into his arms, pouting like a child. "Xiaoluo, I'm really uncomfortable."

She tried to wiggle free, but his grip was firm. Her face burned in the darkness. She knew exactly what he meant by "uncomfortable," and guilt began to gnaw at her.

"Xiaoluo, help me, or I might actually die here," he pleaded.

Her resolve began to waver.

And then, the lights came on.

The credits rolled across the screen, signaling the movie's end.

Ye Tianlin's expression darkened as he stared at the glowing screen. He looked as though he wanted to strangle the projectionist.

Liang Xiaoluo couldn't help but laugh. "Ye Tianlin, you're so unlucky!"

"This is the last time I come to one of these couples' theaters," he grumbled, standing abruptly. "What a waste of time."

"But the movie's over. What difference does it make?" she teased, following him out.

He paused mid-step, glaring at her. "What did you just say?"

"Nothing! Let's go!" She wasn't about to argue with him further.

Outside the theater, Ye Tianlin's mood was still sour.

"I want shaved ice," Liang Xiaoluo said suddenly. "Go buy me some."

"Where?"

"Right behind you."

Reluctantly, he shuffled to the kiosk and returned with the treat after what felt like an eternity. She smiled, taking it from him and scooping up a bite.

"Here, have some," she said, offering him a spoonful.

Her casual gesture of affection warmed him, melting the tension from earlier.

"I don't like cold things," he grumbled.

"They help cool you down," she replied helpfully.

Her innocent comment triggered his frustration all over again. "Liang Xiaoluo, are you trying to kill me?"

Before she could answer, he snatched the spoon, swallowing the icy dessert in one gulp.

The coldness hit his stomach, quelling the heat that had been burning inside him. With a scowl, he devoured the rest of the shaved ice and handed her the empty container.

"You're getting bolder, Liang Xiaoluo. Just wait. I'll deal with you later," he muttered.

"Where to next?" he asked, his tone still laced with irritation.

She blinked, realizing he was asking for her input. "I'm not sure yet."

For so long, her life had been consumed by work, studies, and her family's troubles. Spending a carefree day like this felt almost foreign.

"I'll take you anywhere you want," he said, a mischievous glint in his eye.

She took a cautious step back. "What are you planning, Ye Tianlin?"

"What do you think?" His grin widened, his gaze smoldering with intent.
