Chapter 61: Destruction

Ye Tianlin held Liang Xiaoluo's hand as they walked away, leaving Nan Shaojie frozen like a statue, his gaze fixed on their retreating figures.

This time, he didn't have the courage to follow. Liang Xiaoluo had personally destroyed all his hopes, shattering every expectation he had of her.

"Master, let me kill Ye Tianlin!" Bing Ya growled with venom.

The young master had never suffered such humiliation, and Bing Ya was determined to avenge him.

Nan Shaojie stopped him, his dark eyes flashing with a sinister light as he glared at Ye Tianlin and Liang Xiaoluo's backs. His icy stare brimmed with killing intent.

Liang Xiaoluo is my woman!

Ye Tianlin, one day, I'll take her back!

In the car, Ye Tianlin and Liang Xiaoluo sat in silence. It was the same luxurious, extended Lincoln, but the atmosphere was tense and cold.

Ye Tianlin said nothing, and Liang Xiaoluo didn't dare to speak. She knew he must have realized she had only used him as an excuse earlier. Punishment was only a matter of time.

So be it. Since I've made my choice, what else is there to fear?

The car didn't head back to the Ye family estate but instead to Ye Tianlin's private villa. The massive house was eerily empty; everyone had been dismissed by Zuo Lun. Ye Tianlin wanted no interruptions.

Zuo Lun drove them into the courtyard. After watching the two step out, he immediately left.

Ye Tianlin walked ahead, and Liang Xiaoluo followed with her head bowed.

The vast house was deathly silent, and the stillness made Liang Xiaoluo uneasy. Why had he brought her here?

"You…" Liang Xiaoluo finally broke the suffocating silence.

Before she could finish, Ye Tianlin turned and seized her lips, his hand gripping her waist as he pressed her down. Liang Xiaoluo froze but didn't resist.

Ye Tianlin didn't go further, pulling away after the rough kiss. His dark eyes locked onto hers for a long moment before he spoke in a low voice.

"Liang Xiaoluo, one day, you'll fall in love with me."

Ever since Nan Shaojie had appeared at the food festival, Ye Tianlin couldn't forget the way Liang Xiaoluo looked at him—a gaze filled with warmth and emotions she had never shown Ye Tianlin. It infuriated him.

Was this what it looked like when two people truly loved each other?

Even though he had taken her away from Nan Shaojie that day, Ye Tianlin felt like a defeated dog. It was a humiliation he had never experienced in over twenty years.

But he refused to believe he couldn't make her love him.

Liang Xiaoluo's expression darkened, her lips curling into a mocking smile. "Impossible. I will never love you."

Her words stunned Ye Tianlin, igniting his fury. He grabbed her chin, his voice cold and menacing. "You'll regret saying that."

"Maybe," she replied, neither arguing nor yielding.

Ye Tianlin's gaze grew more dangerous, his lips crushing hers once more.

No matter how he touched her, Liang Xiaoluo no longer resisted as fiercely as before. She lay there like a lifeless doll, allowing his advances.

But Ye Tianlin didn't care. His actions only grew more intense.

Liang Xiaoluo trembled, gasping for air as she fought to steady her fear.

Finally, she spoke with cold sarcasm. "Do you know why I can never love you?"

Ye Tianlin paused, his long eyes narrowing as his voice turned icy. "Why?"

Liang Xiaoluo sneered. "Because all you have is possessiveness. You've never cared about my feelings. You force me. But Shaojie… he's different. He respects my wishes and gives me warmth. You? All you've ever given me is fear."

Ye Tianlin's expression darkened. How dare she compare him to Nan Shaojie? How dare she defend another man in front of him? She'd better be ready to face the consequences.

His sinister demeanor was terrifying. Liang Xiaoluo's heart raced with panic, yet she forced herself to appear strong.

"Don't worry," Ye Tianlin said coldly, his voice laced with malice. "Soon, your tastes will change. You'll fall deeply in love with me. And when that happens, I'll discard you without mercy. So, Liang Xiaoluo, don't fall for me too quickly. It'll only bring you misery."

"Monster!" Liang Xiaoluo gasped.

Fall in love with him? Never.

"As you wish," Ye Tianlin replied darkly. "I'll gladly be the devil in your eyes."

Before Liang Xiaoluo could react, he leaned in closer, their noses nearly touching. She cried out in alarm. "Stay back!"

"How else will we continue if I don't get closer?" Ye Tianlin smirked.

"Come any closer, and I won't hold back!" she threatened, retreating, only to find herself trapped by his arms.

"Good," he whispered, his lips brushing her ear. "The less you hold back, the more I'll enjoy it."

Liang Xiaoluo's desperate insults and resistance did nothing to deter him. He was relentless, as if her protests only fueled his determination.

Just as the room's tension reached its peak, an impatient ringtone shattered the moment. Ye Tianlin ignored it entirely, refusing to let anything interrupt him.

After an indeterminate amount of time, the intrusive phone finally fell silent. But then, faintly, the sound of a car pulling into the driveway could be heard, followed by footsteps approaching the villa.

"Lin'er, what are you…" A familiar, trembling voice called from the doorway. It was Hua Lin.

Ye Tianlin recognized the voice immediately. He had long known Hua Lin had spies tailing him and Liang Xiaoluo. Every public display of affection between them was deliberate—a message to Hua Lin.

She had no right to control him anymore. The tighter her grip, the more he would rebel.

Liang Xiaoluo clung to him for support, her body stiffening at the sound of Hua Lin's voice. Her warmth turned icy, and she turned her head sharply to see Hua Lin staring at them, stunned.

Shame and embarrassment burned Liang Xiaoluo's cheeks as she tried to pull away, but Ye Tianlin held her firmly, refusing to let go.
