Nyx slowly whispers to Elias that she is falling back. The party is tense, as Nyx is still occupied with the Goblin Champion. However, she has a plan and gives a signal to Oren. Oren realizes that he must let everyone know the plan for them to follow through. Oren chants, "Bloom Magic: Poison Thorn and Bloom Magic: Poison Root Bind."
Suddenly, roots sprout from the ground, binding the goblins and slowing their movements. Flowers bloom from the roots, firing poisoned thorns as sharp as needles at the enemy. The spell drains Oren's mana, leaving him exhausted and trembling, though his mental fortitude remains strong, honed by his years as a scribe and mage. Nyx wastes no time and dashes toward Lilith. Lilith understood Nyx's plan. So, Lilith sprints towards Nyx to catch up faster. The battle ground is filled with danger but there's nowhere for Rhea to recuperate for the moment. So, Rhea lies in Finn's arms for protection and to recuperate. Finn understands that he must, at the very least, protect Rhea and himself from danger. Rhea's mind slowly shifts again to another vision—this time, she sees...
A horde of ants set out to hunt for food. On their hunt, they faced seven towering grasshoppers. The grasshoppers were approaching them slowly. But they were ready to fight as they were with their queen. The queen ordered the workers to ensnare the grasshoppers, and in turn, they willingly sacrificed themselves as meat shields for her ambition. The queen smirked as the supreme leader with elegance for the ant horde. The grasshoppers weren't cowards either. They had their own leader and as the leader approaches with a new plan to overcome...
Rhea snaps back to reality, the battle is still raging around her. Nyx barks to Lilith before rushing back to reinforce the vanguard. The air thickens with unease as the shaman, clearly disturbed by Oren's magic, raises his staff and chants, "Μαγεία Σάρκας Ομογενοποίηση (Flesh Magic: Assimilation)". Suddenly, the flesh of the dead goblins merges into a single, grotesque chunk of flesh. The chunk of flesh surges forward, flinging blood and flesh like shrapnel from an explosion. The binding shatters, and the champion seizes the opportunity to strike Elias. The champion swings his claymore against Elias, shattering Elias's shoulder bone with a heavy strike. After the brutal blow Elias feels fatigued from the battle. His hands start to slip and his grip becomes weak. His left arm barely responds, the pain shooting down to his fingertips. Elias' vision wavers, his grip loosening but he refuses to let go. Not yet. Gritting his teeth, he shifts his grip on his weapon, moving into a defensive stance.
Nyx roars as she closes the distance, taking the lead. "Keep pressure on his weak side!" she barks. Elias doesn't hesitate. He feints a thrust, just enough to make the champion turn, before Nyx's sledgehammer comes crashing down like a meteor. Meanwhile, after ordering Lilith, Nyx comes to the rescue. She blocks the second major blow from the champion. Meanwhile, Finn's life is in danger. When Elias took a blow to his shoulder his senses faltered for a moment because of the pain. As a result he didn't notice a goblin rider slipping past his defense. The rider charged towards Finn while he was wide open with Rhea by his side and was in an attack stance.
Finn draws the Butcher's Knife to fight the goblin rider for his and Rhea's safety. Finn is fatigued because of his attempt to save Rhea a while back. The fatigue causes Finn to hallucinate, he starts to see Maria in Rhea as if she were Maria herself. The blade starts to beat like a living being's heart in his hand, sending a pulse through his veins. The battlefield blurs for a split second, and then the woman in his arm right here, fragile, vulnerable. He murmurs to himself, "What happened Maria? Wh...Who did this to you?". His mental fortitude snaps as he screams in rage. He promises himself to kill the one responsible.
Finn lunges forward in a frenzy, his only desire is to kill and destroy. The wolf the rider is riding is quite fierce, sprinting at an alarming speed towards Finn. The rider brings out a spear. He stabs Finn in the abdomen. But Finn doesn't feel a thing. The butcher's knife takes hold, and Finn begins radiating an overwhelming aura of bloodlust. The air grows suffocating, thick with Finn's murderous intent. Finn's eyes are glaring into the soul of the rider. The frightened rider retrieves his spear and stabs Finn continuously. The rider repeatedly stabs Finn in vital areas. But the Butcher's Knife pulses in his grip, its cursed hunger dulling his senses to everything but the hunt. Pain no longer registers—only the instinct to carve, to butcher, to kill. But the wounds inflicted on his body are deadly. Finn is like a beast who must hunt his prey. The rider Realizes he can't kill Finn and charges toward Rhea, hoping to shift the tide of battle. But the goblin rider's cunning plan was a fatal mistake. The instant his focus shifts to Rhea, the last thread of Finn's awareness—kept intact by the focus pills—vanishes. Finn fully succumbs to the cleaver's madness. With the cleaver, he severs the lower and upper jaw of the wolf in one slash. The wolf tries to scream, but in the blink of an eye, Finn's cleaver arcs through the air, severing the wolf in half. The battlefield becomes a gruesome spectacle with a bloodcurdling dance of flesh and blood. The wolf's carcass falls to the ground and splatters a lot of blood. The goblin rider tries to get out of this mess, but Finn attacks him while he tries to run. Finn chops the goblin's body into minced meat. The blood spreads all over Finn's face as he is in ecstasy. The smell of blood activates the cleaver's urges to slash. He slashes through the goblin horde with pure joy while walking towards the vanguard. He savours killing every goblin in his path like a beast in hunger.
Seeing the battle turn around, Nyx and Elias start to push the goblin champion together. Nyx swings her sledgehammer, slamming it into the champion's hog's head repeatedly, relentless and unyielding. The sledgehammer becomes drenched in blood of the hog. Amidst the chaos, Finn moves like a phantom, his cleaver singing a symphony of flesh and blood as he savours every moment.
Amidst the chaos, Lilith races toward the vanguard, pulling up her hood—then, in an instant, she vanishes into thin air.
