With only a foot of distance, they would act fast. June who was already wary would be the one to get into motion fastest quickly taking grasp onto Gen and tossing him out of the range quickly following after him with tossing, everything seeming to happen in an instant they safely escaped it's first attack though June's fresh new shoes she got were ruined, but of course that was not a care in her mind. The creature having missed them would have crashed into the ground and dug into it making a hole that seemed to fill itself.
"What is that, I have never seen something like that around." June would say, she seemed to be surprisingly calm
"I-it's a Glowsnare. And it's not done with us yet, its gonna pop out again!" Gen would say, there was seemingly some sort of fear in his voice, despite his seeming determination that he had before which was quite odd.
"Alright then, let's ready for it to come back again." June would say as she would get on her guard, but when she turned back to look at Gen he was already running away. "Wait!"
She shouted after him, and now would quickly run after him, she would seem worried for him in such a state, but also worried about this creature really being that scary.
"Stop running and come back, i'll make sure it won't hurt you but we need to go get that snake, it might be in here! Steel yourself Ghengis. If you really want to be that great adventurer and make that girl proud of you, then you won't run. If you want to be the real man you think you can be." June would shout out trying to encourage him.
Gen would stop on a dime, and suddenly turned around back towards June, there was still a bit of wariness on his face, but that was until he saw something, he was about to yell something but quickly then gritted his teeth at the scene as he put a force of power into his legs as the ground below him slightly trembled, the sight he looked at was the creature about to consume June who hadn't heard it being caught up with Gen, or perhaps she chose not to.
Gen found a resolve within himself and suddenly blasted off towards the creature and flying past June as it was not far behind, and unsheathed his blade and slashed in a vertical arc at the creature sending it off it's path and putting a nasty gash across its face as it was sent upwards into the ceiling of the cave, but it did not stay there as it dug into the ceiling and zipped away.
Gen would start breathing heavily as he looked towards her, though there was a relief on his face, she was alright. "You're right, but that thing sure is scary. I'm sorry Ms. June. Though if we continue to fight there is one thing that I must tell you. Everytime the thing chases its prey once more it becomes approximately twice as fast, so if we don't get it fast enough, it will outspeed us."
June would quickly respond. "I see, but you, you're strong! Did you see what you just did? You've gotta believe in yourself some more champ. And you especially won't have to worry with me around."
June gave a small gesture towards him as she gave a light punch to his chest, but both of them immediately became alert once more and dashed off to the area that had more space going deeper once more for a better area to face the creature, or else it would forever be a nuiscance.
They would hear a rumbling coming from around the cave, it was hard to triangulate where exactly it centered around, then just when it was about to burst out when its force was the highest they would both snap their heads towards where it suddenly burst open, June going to act first as she summoned a bundle of enhanced cables that shoved itself into its open mouth and pulled back against the creature to slow it down. Gen then taking the opportunity would jump on top of the creature and stab its blade into its head now sitting on top of it trying to dig it further in. The creature would begin to thrash around it, suddenly entering a panic mode trying to get Gen off of it. It would zoom around the area bouncing around again and again as it got faster and faster as it neared death, in its bouncing around with its speed constantly seeming to double, June swiftly got out of its way when it came towards her with a few narrow misses.
The creature seemed to gain an epiphany in its thrashing and raised its tail end to slam down onto its own head aiming to crush Ghengis, though he jumped off, and purposefully left his blade within the confines of its skull purposefully, it then smacked its own head as the blade went further into its own head. The thing seemed to slow down for a moment, but then it suddenly started steaming as it snapped towards them starting to glow, seeming to charge itself up with power. The two seem to just zip around the area to get out of its direction, yet it proved futile.
When the Glowsnare moved again, seeming to change into a fully red creature and suddenly made an instant movement that could not even be seen by either of them the tail of the behemoth of a creature had smacked into both of them, sending them crashing into the walls of the cave. The Glowsnare was about to strike again as it charged up once more, yet that simply was cut short, not by its own doing but instead the seeming sudden ending of its life which could be presumed as it finally bleeding out. But they were similarly in a bad state now, but June comparatively more so.
June had blood trickling from her face again, and plenty of internal injuries that were unseen. Comparatively, Gen was almost barely harmed as of now due to both his higher physical capabilities and his armor. Gen would stand up slowly and look off towards June with a distant gaze seeing her injury. He crouched down and his hand shakily traced across her face as the metal gloves were stained with crimson red blood. As silence consumed the cave he would put his hands up to his face and looked at them, his expression not visible and the emotion of his face was unknown.
Suddenly he would grip his hands together as somewhat of a sparkle seemed to gleam within his eyes, there was something that he had just learned and something he would likely never forget. Yet he reached back for June and held her, shaking her. He tried to awaken her, there was a slim coldness on his face for a moment as he got little reaction.
Yet suddenly he would feel a small impact and hold on his shoulder armor as a warmth encroached upon his body. She would extend her hand out towards the reaches of her inventory and pull out an item. something that she had luckily thought to buy with the money she garnered before the venture. It was a healing potion, she unscrewed the cap and used her other hand to pull his helmet off and opened his mouth giving him a majority of it, she then poured the rest into her own mouth.
June seemed to slowly stand up on her own after consuming it and Gen was now just about completely fine, but June was only somewhat better still not something to be considered a fine stage. Gen would only look at her bewildered and rather confused at her action as he hoisted her to stand up easier and turned around with her, looking at the defeated corpse of the enemy that they had now just slain. With a further more refined gaze there was a realization that there was something glowing, and it was blue instead of red that had been coming from the creature and now Gen wandered away ver to it while carrying June
"You.. why didn't you drink it all. You look a lot worse than I do. I would've been fine." Gen would say confusion in his voice, but there was also a pleased appearance on his face about her? especially the fact that she was still with him
"Why would I? Why would I not? I wouldn't allow one of my children to be hurt, your safety matters far more than mine. Besides, I'm quite the tough lady. I'll be able to handle it."
A face of thought came onto Gen as he pondered this woman more than when he first met her, she was already such an interesting character.
They had now reached the body and saw that there was a glowing blue crystalline snake now squirming about it. Gen allowed June to stand on her own for a moment as he bent down and picked up the snake gently and rubbed the top of its head, it seemed to be non hostile which was relieving for June.
Yet just as they had obtained the crystal snake, something had happened. Within the darkness there was a movement that neither of them had heard, and suddenly the light of the glow snake had disappeared. And then a light suddenly appeared once more, but this time both were apprehended with a grappling hold pinned to the ground with knives towards their necks. With June being upheld by the black masked lady they had noticed from before, and upon Gen was the smaller guy that was with them. Neither of them had spoken but simply held them there for a moment. Suddenly they would go to choke both of them.
June would look up at the lady withholding her and groaned, although she couldn't make out her face. There was some sort of familiarity about the girl that caused her to look at her oddly, and it seemed she felt the same thing as she lightened up, but only for a moment, and with little breath June would speak.
"Did you also come from another world?"
They suddenly seemed shocked and stopped choking them, instead they suddenly struck a heavy blow and the consciousness of June would instantly fade.
