Yurina sprinted throughout the maze-like lab, her footsteps, frantic, as if her whole life was meant for this very moment. Running past people who held out their hands as if begging for their life, only to be ignored. Each step she took, a crunch was heard, the sound from the shards of glass, bones, even freshly severed limbs. She would eventually find herself in front of a large glass door, with her eyes piercing through the glass at Roland, who seemed to be staring through a microscope.
Yurina then swung her foot, shattering through the glass door, before she slowly stepped into the room. There were even more people, chained up against the wall, with multiple wounds, with a sheet of paper, with records written over them. Multiple drugs, serums, twisted medication were written, with the effects of it. She turned her head toward Roland, before speaking.
"I knew you would be here.." She said, with Roland's head facing up toward her, before his face contorted into a smile, as if he was expecting her as well. "Oh?" He said, intrigued. He would slowly open a drawer, and grab a syringe, labelled: "Contingency." And placed it gently in his lab coat's pocket.
"Finally rebelling I see.." He said, as he closed the drawer calmly, then slowly walked toward her. As he approached her, Yurina then held up her sword, her grip firm, as she pointed the edge at him.
"If I kill you..Would I be finally forgiven..?" She asked, her face remained determined. Roland stuffed his hands into his coat's pocket, unfazed despite her holding a sword aimed straight for his skull. "Forgiveness?.." He mumbled, with Yurina looking offended, but she still added on.
"Forgiven from the sins you forced me to commit!" She demanded, her voice filled with guilt. The room was silent, with the only sound being from the blood dripping down the legs of the people who are chained up against the wall, and the sound of water dripping down from a faucet.
Suddenly, Roland's face shifted into an even larger smile, followed by a wicked laugh, his face turned up toward the ceiling. Roland laughed as if he heard the most hilarious thing any human being heard. The laugh was heard echoing from the room, being heard from everyone invading the lab. "Who the hell is that?" Edward asked as he was walking along with the group searching for Satoya.
Roland continued to laugh, but no one was able to pinpoint the specific location of where the laughter came from, as they all went lost within the labyrinth of a laboratory. "Was that Roland?" Satoya thought as he was holding his katana, "does that mean Yurina successfully found him?" He thought deeply.
"Satoya!" A young man called, as he turned around he saw Sendo waving toward him. "Sendo?" He asked as Sendo ran up to him, relieved to have found him. "So you were captured? But where is this laughter coming from?" He asked, his face looking worried and uneasy.
"Forgiveness? Haha!" Roland giggled as he looked down toward her, Yurina's expression was full of concern, "Would I finally reach that solace?" She pleaded, as she started to tear up. Roland began to laugh hysterically, before he collected himself.
"That Unreachable Solace you're trying to reach…" He spoke, wiping away tears of laughter from his face, his cruel smile noticeable. "IS NOT REAL!" He yelled out as he held out his arms wide, "even if you kill me, you will never find that peace!" He laughed aloud. She then charged toward him, preparing to swing her sword.
Yurina swung toward his neck, but Roland took a step back, precisely close enough to barely avoid it, and followed up by avoiding every attack from her. "You think you didn't have a choice, but let's be real, you always had the option to defy me. And you chose not to!" He mocked, before Yurina's eyes dilated in shock, as if reflecting on everything she was "forced" to do.
"Did you seriously think I really forced you to do it?!" He laughed, his hands covering his face, then pushed his hair back. Yurina gripped her sword even harder, tears slowly raining down her cheek, then she swung her sword down as fast and strong as she could. Roland then moved to the side, but still held out his hand, purposely letting it get sliced off.
Yurina then slashed toward Roland again, and again, before she swung for the last time, she saw Roland leap over, using the arm with the sliced off arm to put her into a choke hold, then took out the syringe labelled with contingency and injected her in the neck. Then let go, with her falling on her side, paralyzed in shock.
"No.." She thought, before Roland slowly walked in front of her face, then crouched down. His expression remained indifferent, yet still smiling with malicious intent. He then held up the arm with the sliced off arm, and regrows the hand in front of her. "I'll have to give it to you, I have never laughed that hard in ages.." He said, looking down on her. He then stood up, "alright, now then, it'll take a couple minutes for the effects of the serum to kick in, mind as well find Satoya, but I do sense some elite ranks here.." he said as he left the room, leaving her paralyzed.
