Chapter 3 - The hunters

The group looked at the corpse of the beast, and saw an aura emitting from the man, and the man turned around.

He has dark hair that slowly fades into dark blue, serious dark blue eyes, and is wearing a tuxedo with an insignia on it.

The man pulled out a sword from the head of the monster, and turned around.

"Watch it, this place is riddled with them." He said.

"Stop trying to be an edge-lord Ludwig!" Another man pleaded.

He approached them confidently, smiling, happy to see them.

This man has black hair, heterochromia gold and black eyes, wearing a uniform similar to Ludwig's but it seemed like he was of higher ranking.

"My name's Rin Satomura." Rin said.

Rin offered a handshake to Satoya, which Satoya reluctantly accepted.

"Satoya Kamiyama." Satoya introduced cautiously.

"He's Ludwig Azure, he's quite the edge-lord if I were to say so myself." Rin said in friendly banter.

"Don't call me that." Ludwig said ticked off.

"Alright, found the right person." Rin said, relieved.

"I assume you are Sakonori Nakagawa, Rayna Atkinson, Isaac Beauregard, Edward Garrison, and Johnathan Carter." He assumed.

"Do you know us?" Edward asked curiously.

Rin scratched the back of his head in a little bit of shame, "Eh, more of Lionel's request, I can already tell you guys have potential, we need more people to the organisation anyway."

"What organisation?" Satoya wondered.

"The void hunters committee." Ludwig said with a serious demeanour. Johnathan seemed to have recalled something but stayed silent.

"The void hunters committee is an organisation that originates from 10,000 years ago, solely to kill monster-like beings called Iyas, in short Iyas are entities or humans who have consumed a small part of a sealed god's blood, corrupting them. " Rin explained.

"Why did this Lionel guy choose us?" Edward questioned.

"Well, judging by you right now, you already learned how to use your Aribolian energy to a beginner level." Rin pointed out.

"Aribolian energy?" Rayna confusingly asked.

"It's the energy accumulated in the soul, located around the chest, but more or less the same as mana from those magic related video games, but we typically just call it energy since "Aribolian Energy," is a mouthfull." Rin answered.

As they were talking, a massive building was thrown toward them.

"Look out!" Sakonori yelled, but Rin took out a sword and sent a slash that sliced the building in half, and also killed a monster which resembled a huge muscular beast with a demonic face.

"That right there is an Iya, or was an Iya." Rin pointed out.

"Well, enough talk, we need to transport you guys to the headquarters of this capital." Rin said with a disappointed expression.

"Ludwig." Rin ordered.

"Got it." He complied.

Ludwig snapped his fingers, and 6 portals opened below them, the portals seemed to have stars inside, like the vast space.

The group got caught off guard and fell through.

"Ludwig, please don't open a starlit gate out of nowhere, at least give a warning." Rin pleaded.
