"Fascinating... I've never seen a Saiyan heal so quickly..." murmured a gray-skinned alien, his elongated head tilting as he observed the figure before him. He adjusted his round glasses, their lenses catching the sterile light of the lab.
The room was cold and clinical, its metallic walls lined with monitors displaying various vitals. In the center, Michael lay in a medical pod, his body submerged in a viscous green fluid. The liquid glowed faintly, pulsating in rhythm with his heartbeat, which echoed softly throughout the lab...
The alien tapped on a console, bringing up a holographic display of Michael's recovery. "Even by Saiyan standards, his regenerative ability is nothing short of extraordinary..." he said, his voice tinged with both curiosity and awe. "It's almost as if the damage wasn't just healing—it's being rewritten, improved upon?"
Behind him, another figure entered the room. A tall, humanoid alien with dark, scaled skin and piercing yellow eyes stepped forward, his arms crossed. He regarded the floating figure with a mix of disdain and intrigue.
"You sound impressed, Doctor." the scaled alien said, his voice deep and gravelly. "But don't forget—this one lost. Whatever potential he has wasn't enough to beat the king."
The doctor didn't turn, his focus remaining on the monitors. "True. But his defeat was far from ordinary." He pointed to a chart displaying Michael's power levels over time. The line spiked erratically, each surge higher than the last. "Look at this. Even unconscious, his body is adapting. His power is stabilizing at levels far beyond where it started."
To the doctor, it was hard to believe that the Saiyan he was over seeing had broken bones, internal bleeding all to the third degree, would heal this quickly...
The scaled alien narrowed his eyes, stepping closer to the pod. "Hmph. Saiyans. Always growing stronger through pain. It's their one useful trait."
The doctor finally turned, a slight smirk on his face. "Useful, yes. But this one is different. His growth isn't just physical—it's... accelerated. Almost unnatural. If he keeps this up, even the king might struggle to contain him."
The scaled alien's expression darkened, his tail flicking in agitation. "You're saying he could surpass Talmos?"
"I'm saying it's a possibility, or it's already happened..." the doctor replied, his tone rather even. "But that depends on how far he's pushed... Based on my studies, Saiyans thrive on conflict, after all. Give them a strong enough enemy, and they'll find a way to overcome them."
The scaled alien just scoffed, turning away from the pod. "If he becomes a threat, he'll be dealt with like any other. Oh... And don't forget where your loyalties lie, Doctor."
The doctor chuckled softly, returning his attention to the console. "Oh, I haven't forgotten. But it would be a shame to waste such potential, don't you think?"
The scaled alien said nothing, leaving the room with a low growl.
Inside the pod, Michael's fingers twitched, a faint glow flickering around his body. The monitors beeped as his vitals spiked momentarily before settling again. The doctor adjusted his glasses, his curiosity deepening.
"Fascinating indeed... What would take a normal Saiyan an hour, took him only bar a few minutes..." The Doctor tilted then his glasses, studying Michael's frame before leaving right after.
Just as the Doctor had left the room, Michael's body twitched slightly. His eyes then slowly opening. Below the breathing tube, with a small, yet content smile was plastered on his features...
...
'I guess taking that vicious beating was worth it after all...' Michael clenched both his fists in the water, feeling as if his body being much, much stronger than before the fight with Talmos.
'Status~' He mentally commanded.

'Hahaha!! Would you look at that? I'm sure I've gotten a decent Zenkai, from that battle... I'm roughly a third as strong as king Talmos in his Ikari state. All from one battel' Michael looked at all his gains with welcomed surprise.
He then replayed the fight in his mind, going through all the things that happened in that fight. He remembered getting beat to a pulp, as he expected. However, the more he was getting beaten, the more he realized his emotion fired up. Specifically his rage...
'Still, that fight was nothing short of fun... I don't think I've ever enjoyed something like taking a beating on purpose... I can truly understand why Goku wants to fight and battle so much. It's nothing short of exhilarating...' He recalled the contents and feelings of the fight even more vividly... Learning from the experience.
However, his mind shifted onto something else... '
Now, he was already much stronger than most if not all Saiyans base wise, at least on paper. If he achieved Ikari; he didn't know how much more powerful he would become given so more time to grow.
'Either way, I don't particularly fancy taking beatings till I'm bloody only to get a little high out of it...' He remembered getting a wicked right hook from the king earlier, still feeling the phantom pains, "Phew~ Maybe I should have played it a bit smarter...? Regardless, I need to see if my other plan worked out...' Slowly, but surely, he focused his mind, closing his eyes once again in the process.
'Are you there... Was it successful?' He asked telepathically.
...
...
'Yes... I made it out, or rather in safely... I should be able to acquire Talmos' bloodline traits within the day. So just rest up for now.' The parasite version of him responded.
'Good...' Michael smiled at that, he was initially worried at first if his plan had even worked. But luckily, it did, 'Damn... Now I'm glad I decided to split myself during our fight... Now I should be able to gain an even better physiology out of it. I wonder just how much my potential and power will increase then...'
The thought alone had excited him. For now, he just needed to wait another day before all that was his, but at the moment... He just needed to find a way to get out of this healing chamber.

"That fight was intense! I never thought I'd see the day someone would even come close in matching our king! He was even forced to use the Oozaru state!" Saya said excitedly.
Rei on the other hand didn't know what to really feel at the moment... "Yeah, I felt his power, who didn't?... Based on what I saw, he's almost as strong as the prince. And much, much stronger than us."
Saya looked at her friend solemnly, "C'mon Rei, don't be so sulky. Isn't it exciting that we've gotten some excitement around here? When was the last time someone this strong was around here?"
Rei turned to her friend with her chin resting on her fist... "I'm sure you're only saying that because you found him a bit attractive..." Giving her a dead panned look.
Saya rolled her eyes in response to her friend's rather brash, yet truthful statement, "It isn't just that, alright. Plus, even I'd like to have a crack at him too, don't you?" Saya held a bright smile, but Rei only studied her a bit.
'Usually, she isn't nearly this motivated to fight or spare, much less in fighting anyone...' Rei thought; appreciating her friend's once in a life time's worth of motivation to genuinely fight and likely improve herself...
She smiled, "Yeah... I can't blame you. I kind of want to see what he's capable of too, but challenging might as well be an extreme hassle given his situation, but I'm willing to go through with it..." Rei gave her friend a sly look.
"I know that look in your eyes... You're about to do something dangerous, aren't you? If so, I'm definitely in!"
