The Growth Stone felt like a lump of fire as it went down Elias's throat. It burned, but not with physical pain. Instead, it was strange, unfamiliar heat that quickly spread outwards, like warmth reaching into every cell within his body.
There was no pain for the first few minutes, but when the pain arrived, it came like a storm that made him grit his teeth. The burning sensation within his body intensified and became more painful. The extreme pain made it hard to breathe as his vision turned red.
Amidst his blurry vision, he saw multiple system screens appearing all around him. However, all of them were glitching so badly that he couldn't even read what was written on them.
The more he looked at the glitching screens, the more he felt as if his head was splitting apart. It was so painful that he was forced to close his eyes, as tears trickled down his cheeks.
