Night time haunted the sky allowing the wind to roar in silence, diurnal creatures remained hidden while nocturnal creatures, children of the night roamed free and proud.
The full moon complemented the silent sky with its lunar light that illuminated everything on the ground, the ground had nothing but sand, cliffs, rocks and pillars.
The moonlight illuminated everything but what stood out the most were twelve pointy giant pillars that had a dozen figures standing on top of them.
On top of the pillars, the twelve figures stood cloaked in black.
Their faces were hidden beneath veils that draped down, obscuring their identities. Each cloak bore a full moon symbol in gold and bright red, shining ominously in the darkness.
Their hands and feet were adorned with intricate jewelry, and each figure's chest was marked with a dark zodiac symbol, a silent testament to their roles and purpose.
They were the 12 Labours of the Blood Moon, also known as Krowe's Faction.
"Well well well, Who knew that you would receive and attend my summon Tsk tsk tsk!!!"
Tet, the Fifth Labour of the Blood Moon, stood among his brothers and sisters in arms.
Known by his Dark Zodiac title, The Deceiver, and feared by many as The Basilisk, he sighed, his gaze shifting over the gathered figures.
"You little prick why did you summon us without a proper decree....are you courting death"
Indra, the First Labour of the Blood Moon, known by her Dark Zodiac title, The Oppressor, questioned Tet as her body began to release a visible, dark red bloodlust.
The clouds in the sky began to darken and lightning crackled, this phenomenon continued until it covered a 20km radius.
Tet began to chuckle as he looked at Indra and said:
"Cute gesture but we both know it won't end well... what happened the last time again???Ohh!!!! right I remember now... didn't you get hunted down by the Vatican"
A bolt of lightning fell from the sky , struck Indra and the entire pillar she was standing on turned to glass.
Indra stood proudly on the pillar as a dense lightning rod crackled in her arm.
She roared, her gaze locked onto Tet, before shouting:
"SAY THAT AGAIN, I DARE YOU! I TRIPLE DARE YOU!!!"
"Tsk, tsk, tsk, why so loud?" Tet snickered, his voice dripping with disdain. "Can't you act like a civilized lifeform?"
"Your sexual frustration can't really be that bad, can it? If you can't keep a man, I understand, I mean you're... you.
But not even a woman? How can you fail at both departments?"
"PFFFTT"
Some of the surrounding labours began to chuckle making Indra more frustrated, but the 11th labour Aquarius also known as the outcast looked at Tet and said:
"Tet I don't have time to waste, get to the point or pay me for my time"
Tet immediately stopped teasing Indra, began to scan all the labours and said:
"We have a problem, someone has been invading our territories and...they stole the fragmented information from the ghost server "
"Wait, wait, wait, Tet... what do you mean ghost server???" Aquarius immediately interrupted, her voice sharp with urgency.
"Fragment information... Tet, what have you done? The resurrection of Lord Dio and the summoning of Kars are at hand...why THE F*CK WOULD YOU MESS THAT UP?!"
"Geez, Louise, calm your tits," Tet said, quickly clearing his throat before continuing:
"My data, my rules. The server had no proper defense mechanisms for a reason. If someone manages to piece the information together and use it to their advantage, then let them. They deserve what they earned."
Some of the Labours nodded in agreement with Tet, while others shook their heads in disapproval.
Seeing the rising tension and discord, Tet quickly chimed in.
"Aren't you tired, bored, and exhausted? I mean, that server was created 40 years ago, and no one even bothered to access it. But now... we have this unko..."
"TET!!!" Aquarius called out, sighing in frustration before collecting herself and continuing:
"Do you remember that in 1907 and 1908, you played a game with someone, and that got them rejected from art school? The flow of events from then on... were not pleasant."
She then added:
"You like to play games... not for the sake of winning but chaos, i will not..."
"You will not what???" Tet snickered, his tone laced with mockery. "Indra's hot-headed, I get that, but she doesn't think the entire universe revolves around her."
He smirked, letting his words sink in before adding:
"We both know you ain't gonna do shit. Now, my dear brothers and sisters… do you want to listen to my pitch, or this barking dog?"
Tet observed the Labours and nodded in satisfaction as he noticed their body movements, With a smirk he said:
"That's what I thought."
"Where was I... oh yes," Tet mused, his tone dripping with amusement.
"Those hairless monkeys, talking apes... humans have gotten too comfortable, and as a result, we became stagnant.
But seventeen years ago, the ultimate vessel that holds the Codex was born, shifting the balance of the world."
"If this new variable is interesting shouldn't we pl..."
"Tet we shouldn't Lord Krow.."
"OH MY GOD, AQUARIUS, CAN YOU STOP INTERRUPTING ME!!!" Tet shouted before taking a deep breath to calm himself.
He then continued:"Where is Krowe? Or should I say when is Krowe...? Nobody knows. We all don't know!!!"
"Aquarius, as much as I hate to admit it, I have to agree with Tet," Indra sighed in defeat.
She then continued, adding, "Tet is a stubborn, arrogant piece of shit, so we both know your efforts to prevent the upcoming disaster will fail. Just let him be."
The phenomenon summoned by Indra began to dissipate as she slowly began to calm down, Tet looked at the sky, smirked and said:
""The board resets. The dice roll anew. The pieces, oblivious, march forward without question.
A new variable emerges. The rules bend and shift. The hand that once played is now played in turn.
My brothers and sisters… let's play a game."
