As Nes realized what the boy had said his face became equally horrified. Nes was starting to think about sacrificing the boy since no one even knew about his existence. But realized he was still doomed to die. Their time was running out as the creatures were getting closer.
The creatures looked like wolves but they walked with two feet and were twice as big as the average human.
The boy was trying to tell something to Nes without making a sound but failed since Nes didn't understand his hand signs. The boy was pointing at his own eyes then the wolves and then made a cross with his hands. Nes just tilted his head and started running screaming: "What are you trying to tell me, speak so I can understand!" The moment he started screaming the wolves were running after him with Terrifying speed. As Nes and the creatures were getting further and further away the boy screamed after them: "The wolves are blind they now where you are by tracking your smell and sound!" As he screamed that Nes was becoming even more frightened. "Well since they're all ready following me how do I get rid of th-Ahh! Please help they are right behind me!" The boy now started running after them screaming: "You have two options, either try to move as quietly as possible and try to hide or run to the exit!"
The boy started to slow down after realizing that the wolves were now starting to move in his direction. The boy quickly his in some bushes. The boy figured that Nes had either been eaten or actually managed to be quiet and hide.
As the creatures passed his hiding spot he came out and went in the direction which Nes had went. He walked slowly and quietly. After a while he almost screamed when something grabbed his foot. He looked down and saw a human hand. "Nes, is that you?" He whispered. No answer. The boy looked around and saw no creatures. He touched the hand as he did that the hand flinched.
Nes came out from the hole he was in and asked: "Did you find the door, I think it's that way but I'm not sure anymore." "Why didn't you answer me when I asked if it was you?" Nes didn't answer him. "I think the door is in that direction since the announcement came from there." The boy pointed in an opposite direction from what Nes had said. "Are you sure it's that way?" "I'm pretty sure, you should trust me since I've spent more time in these woods than you." "Okay then, lead the way." Even though Nes said that the boy noticed how uneasy and sceptical Nes was being.
Now they weren't running but instead walking slowly. "You don't trust me now do you?" The boy said in front of Nes. Looking at the boys back, Nes answered: "Who would trust someone they just met", Nes looked super uncomfortable as he continued, "Listen, you said you were born here that's the first thing. How can someone be born inside the doors. Second you look like you've been doing the job I'm supposed to do for year's." The boy looked back at Nes. "So what exactly is your job?" "Our job is to come through the doors and loot them of any treasure we may find and also from survivors who have attempted these doors before us. We have all this gear with us, like for example these night vision goggles, because we never know when coming through that door where we might end up. Sometimes it might be the desert in the middle of the night and sometimes a forest like today in the morning. The only thing we know about the doors before going in is their level, but it seems this time it was wrong since this was supposed to be a green door, which is the easiest."
The boy started walking again and Nes followed. 'Nes really did have many gadgets but if this is supposed to be the easiest how can people survive with only those tools in the harder ones. I guess I'll just ask him once we get out.'
The boy glanced back and took a good look at Nes. Nes looked to be about seventeen. He had short blonde hair, freckles and a big nose with green eyes, black clothing with a lot of pockets. He had goggles on top of his hair, a what looked to be a knife in his side pocket by the left hip, a backpack that was also black, on the other hip there was something with a black handle.
As they continued to walk they spotted a yellow door in the middle of the trees. There was nothing behind the door, it was a singular yellow door.
Nes was about to start running straight to the door but the boy stopped him, covering Nes's mouth he whispered: "look there's a creature over there and It doesn't look like the one's from earlier. The creature was smaller than an average human by about thrice. It looked to be a mouse and spider at the same time. It had eight legs, had the body and head of a mouse, had the spikes of headshogs around its body and had eight eyes.
"How are we supposed to get to the door with that abomination guarding it?"
The boy was thinking of what to do when suddenly the creature started moving in the direction they were. "You run to the left and I'm running to the right. Try to get to the door without dying."
They both started running and soon Nes screamed: "Why are they always coming for me first!?
The boy reached the door first and as he was looking around trying to spot Nes, he saw him running with the creature right behind him. Nes was almost at the door and the boys was about to open it until he noticed Nes falling to the ground face first. The boy now panicking started running in Nes's direction. But luck was not on their side as the creature got to Nes before the boy.
