Chapter 16 - Epilogue

That day, the world was finally beginning to heal. After all the destruction and fear they had endured, life was offering everyone a chance to weave new hope.

Jaehyun stood on the balcony of his new apartment in Seoul, gazing at the city that was slowly coming back to life. The sound of emergency sirens had been replaced by the hum of traffic, and in the distance, children's laughter echoed from a park. It was a sight he never thought he would see again.

Eun Seul approached him, holding two cups of coffee. She handed one to Jaehyun and joined him in looking out over the city. "We made it," she said softly. "None of this would have been possible without you."

Jaehyun shook his head with a faint smile. "Not just me. We all did it together. Without you, without Haera, without Ji Woon and the others, I wouldn't be here right now."

Eun Seul gently patted his shoulder. "You're too modest. But yes, we did it together." She hesitated before adding, "Father said he's proud of you. He may not say it outright, but I could see it in his eyes."

Jaehyun nodded, unwilling to delve too deeply into the topic of his father. Their journey to rebuild their relationship was still a long one, but at least they had a good starting point.

Elsewhere, Haera sat on a park bench, watching children play soccer. She couldn't help but smile as her thoughts drifted to Jaehyun. She knew she liked him, but Haera also knew Jaehyun might not have realized it yet. For her, it was enough to simply be by his side, supporting him no matter what.

Ji Woon, standing not far away, was leading a discussion with some of the remaining agents. He had become one of the key figures in the city's recovery efforts, ensuring security and stability. His gaze occasionally drifted toward Eun Seul, who had always been his motivation to keep moving forward.

As night fell, they all gathered at a small café—Jaehyun, Eun Seul, Haera, Ji Woon, In Yul, and the others. The atmosphere was filled with laughter, with Yumi chatting nonstop, making everything feel lighter.

"So, what's next for you, Jaehyun?" Ji Hoon asked, leaning back in his chair.

Jaehyun thought for a moment before smiling. "I'm not sure yet. For now, I just want to enjoy this moment. We've been through so much. I think we deserve a bit of peace."

Everyone nodded in agreement. They knew their journey wasn't truly over, but for the first time in a long while, they felt safe. They felt whole.

As the night grew later, Jaehyun looked around at his friends—his new family—and felt something he hadn't experienced in a long time. Gratitude. Hope. And most importantly, the sense that life, despite all its challenges, was still worth living.

Amid the chatter and laughter, one thing became clear: even though the world had changed, they would move forward together.

And this time, they knew nothing was impossible.
