Chapter 1 - The Villainess's Second Chance

"Ah, when will these guys stop chasing me?" Arya said angrily to herself. While running, she glanced at a window and, without thinking, jumped like a monkey and landed directly on the roof. The people chasing her below were left stunned.

"Where did she go?" one man said in frustration.

"She ran away with our money, and we were just watching!" another said angrily, punching the wall.

Arya had disappeared by jumping from the roof. After some time, she stopped at an isolated bridge in the city. Her bag was filled with millions of rupees. She looked at the bag, and a devilish smile spread across her lips.

"Snatching money from Arya is no joke," she said to herself. "They tried to make a fool out of me, but got caught themselves."

Fixing her wind-blown hair, she started moving forward when she heard a terrifying sound.

Vroom vroom!

Arya turned around. A large truck was speeding towards her. The lines of anger were clear on her face.

"Is this driver drunk driving the truck? Oh no! It's coming straight at me!"

The speed of the truck was insanely fast. The driver was nowhere to be seen. Arya's danger alarm went off.

"Run, Arya! Or fifty lakhs will be lost here!" she told herself and started running faster. But the truck... the truck was faster than her.

The screeching sound of the tires and the roar of the engine were louder than her heartbeat. Arya tried to jump to the right, but the truck hit her precisely.

Bang!

The truck hit her so hard that she was thrown into the air and landed on the edge of the bridge. The bag slipped from her hands and the notes scattered in the air.

Arya was surrounded by darkness. She could not see anything. After the truck's hit, it felt like her soul had reached somewhere else. Slowly, she opened her eyes.

"Where am I?" she looked around.

"Am I not dead? Or is this... another world?" she muttered to herself.

She looked around and found that she was in a closed room. The only light in the room was a dim yellow bulb. Arya looked around and tried to get up, but her legs did not support her. It felt like her body had become very weak. It felt like the life had been sucked out of her body.

"It seems like all this is happening because of the accident..." she said to herself, but the next moment her eyes widened in surprise when she saw that her hands were tied to a pole. She could not understand what had happened, but she knew that she was in big trouble.

Before she could think or understand anything, the door of the room opened and Arya's eyes went towards it. She saw that the door opened and some people walked in following a man. For some reason, her body felt very weak as if she had not eaten anything for days. Arya forced her eyes open and saw a man standing in front of her, with some men in black clothes standing behind him, appearing to be his bodyguards.

The man's face was filled with anger, and Arya could not understand why.

"Why... why have you brought me here?" Arya whispered in a faint voice, which the man heard.

"So, you don't know why you have been brought here? Serena?" the man said looking at her.

Arya felt strange when she heard the name Serena from his mouth. She rested her head said looking at him.

"Look, you are mistaken, I am not Serena, but Arya... Let me go from here..." she said with great difficulty because her voice and breath were gradually slowing down.

"I am not mistaken, and I have captured you here because your actions caused my mother's death. You killed her and now I will take your life..." the man said in an angry and scary voice.

Listening to his words, Arya took a deep breath. At first, she did not know what she was doing there, and then this man was putting false accusations on her.

"Look, first of all, I am not Serena, I am Arya, and secondly, even though I steal, killing someone is not my thing and I can't do it, so untie my hands... and free me from here..."

"You will surely be free, but not from here, but from this world..." saying this, the man took out a gun from behind and pointed it at Arya's forehead.

His hands were gripping the gun so tightly that the fire of revenge was clearly visible in his eyes. Arya's heart started pounding loudly. She couldn't believe this was happening to her.

"Am I really going to die here?" Arya thought to herself.

In a trembling voice, she said, "Look, if you kill me, your questions will always remain unanswered. I really am not who you are looking for. Listen to me, give me some time... I will prove it to you."

For a moment, a look of doubt appeared in the man's eyes, but then he said in his angry voice, "People like you just make excuses. My pain will only end when your life ends."

Arya closed her eyes. She felt like everything was going to end now. But suddenly, the man's hand trembled slightly. Seeing her words and condition, he was in a dilemma.

"If you are lying, then there will be no bigger sinner than you," he said softly and lowered the gun.

Arya's breath held for a moment, her eyes filled with tears. Maybe this was the last chance of her life to prove herself, and she resolved in her mind that she would understand the cause of this man's anger and pain, reach the truth, and prove herself innocent... whatever the cost.

Arya tried to control her heartbeat. Her eyes were fixed on the barrel of the gun, which was now just a few inches away from her forehead. She couldn't believe that her life was about to end so quickly.

"Look," she said in a trembling voice, "I don't know who you want revenge on. I am not Serena. But if I have made any mistake, give me a chance to correct it. Let me change myself." There was an extraordinary honesty in her voice, which forced the man to stop for a moment.

The man said angrily, "Do you think some words will absolve you of your sins? My mother will never come back!"

Arya replied with tears in her eyes, "Maybe not. But if I can help someone, if I can live the rest of my life the right way, maybe I can lighten the burden of my mistakes. Give me a chance. If you take my life, will your mother come back?"

The man's hand trembled slightly. Arya's words had made some impact on him, but anger was still dominant.

"You are lying. People like you never change."

Arya said softly, "Maybe. But I promise you I will do anything to improve my life."

Seeing the honesty in her words, the man's mind was filled with questions, and he looked at her sternly before lowering his gun.

"If you can really change, then prove it. I'll give you a chance. But remember, if you deceive me, I will not spare you."

Arya took a sigh of relief. She looked at the man intently. "Tell me your name."

The man smiled, but there was hidden pain. "My name is Kian. And I will keep an eye on your every move."

Saying this, Kian turned and signaled to his bodyguard. On his signal, the bodyguard came forward and untied Arya's hands. While leaving, Kian looked back at Arya and then left, leaving two guards behind.
