Chapter 27 - Chapter 27: The Beast and the Blade

**Chapter 27: The Beast and the Blade (Nomu Vs Law)**

The moment Nomu's fist slammed Aizawa into the ground, the world seemed to slow for Law. The sound of cracking earth, the spray of blood, the way Aizawa's body crumpled under the force—it all burned into his mind like a searing brand. Anger, raw and unrelenting, surged through his veins, and for the first time in what felt like forever, Law's calm facade shattered. His golden eyes blazed as he activated **Room**, the blue dome of energy expanding rapidly around him. The sheath of his sword clattered to the ground as he gripped the hilt tightly, the blade gleaming with a deadly light.

"You're going to regret that," Law muttered, his voice low and icy. He launched himself forward, his movements a blur as he closed the distance between himself and Nomu. The ground beneath him cracked under the force of his speed, his sword trailing behind him like a comet's tail.

Nomu, still gripping Aizawa's leg, turned its blank, lifeless eyes toward Law. Aizawa, blood streaming down his face, struggled to lift his head. His glowing red eyes flickered as he tried to erase Nomu's quirk, but his voice was weak, barely audible. "I can't... erase it... This isn't a quirk... It's just raw strength... What the hell is this thing?!"

Before Nomu could deliver the finishing blow, Law's voice cut through the chaos. "**Shambles.**"

In an instant, Aizawa vanished from Nomu's grip, replaced by a terrified villain who had been lurking nearby. The villain barely had time to scream before Nomu's fist came crashing down, obliterating the ground where Aizawa had been moments before. The impact sent shockwaves through the plaza, dust and debris flying in all directions.

Aizawa, now lying a safe distance away, coughed up blood as he tried to process what had just happened. His vision blurred, but he could see Law standing between him and Nomu, his sword raised and his expression unreadable.

Law didn't wait for Nomu to recover. He darted forward, his movements precise and calculated. Nomu swung its massive arm, but Law was already gone, reappearing behind the beast with a flick of his fingers. "**Tact.**"

His sword flashed, and Nomu's arm fell to the ground, severed cleanly at the shoulder. There was no blood, no gore—just the eerie precision of Law's quirk. Nomu didn't even flinch. It turned its head, its blank eyes locking onto Law as its arm began to regenerate, muscle and bone knitting themselves back together at an alarming rate.

Law's eyes narrowed as he stepped back, his sword still raised. "Regeneration, huh? You really are a monster."

Shigaraki, watching from the sidelines, scratched at his neck furiously. His red eyes gleamed with a mix of anger and curiosity. "What kind of student is this?! Isn't this his first month at U.A.?!"

Nomu lunged at Law, its speed and power overwhelming. Law barely had time to react as the beast's fist connected with his cheek, sending him sprawling across the ground. Blood dripped from his nose, his vision swimming as he struggled to his feet. But despite the pain, a small smile tugged at the corner of his lips.

"You hit hard," Law said, wiping the blood from his face. "But you're not the only one who can play dirty."

He raised his hand, his fingers twitching as he activated **Room** once more. "**Shambles.**"

In an instant, Nomu's regenerated arm was severed again, this time flying through the air before landing at Law's feet. He picked it up, examining it with a detached curiosity before tossing it aside. "Let's see how many times I can cut you apart before you stop coming back."

As Nomu charged again, Law stood his ground, his sword gleaming in the dim light. Shigaraki's eyes narrowed as he watched the battle unfold. "That move again... He's switching places with things. What's he planning this time?"

Law's smile widened as Nomu closed the distance. "Come on, you overgrown bull. Let's see how fast you really are."

Just as Nomu was about to strike, Law's fingers twitched. "**Shambles.**"

In a flash, Shigaraki found himself standing where Law had been, Nomu's fist barreling toward him. For the first time, fear flickered in Shigaraki's eyes. "Nomu, stop!"

Nomu froze mid-swing, its fist inches from Shigaraki's face. A bead of sweat rolled down Shigaraki's cheek as he stared at the massive hand in front of him. "If I hadn't stopped him... he would've crushed me..."

Behind them, Law reappeared, his sword raised and his expression calm. "What are you so happy about?" he asked, his voice dripping with sarcasm.

Before Shigaraki could react, Law's sword flashed, slicing cleanly through the villain's torso. Shigaraki's upper body slid off his lower half, his eyes wide with shock "Huh?" as he collapsed to the ground.

The plaza fell silent, the villains staring in stunned disbelief as their leader fell. Aizawa, still lying on the ground, coughed up blood as he tried to process what he had just witnessed. "Law... you..."

Nomu, now leaderless, let out a guttural roar as it charged at Law once more. But this time, Law was ready. His **Room** expanded, the blue dome of energy enveloping the battlefield as he prepared for the final showdown.

As the dust settled and the battle raged on, one thing became clear: Law was a force to be reckoned with. His calm demeanor, his precise movements, and his unyielding determination made him a wildcard in this deadly game. And as the villains began to realize the gravity of their mistake, the storm that had been brewing since the beginning of the attack finally began to break.
