Chapter 01: The Beginning as Trafalgar Law.

The day was bright, though the sun's warmth did little to calm the nerves of the crowd gathering outside the gates of UA High School. The students, wearing an array of mismatched outfits, buzzed with excitement and anxiety. No uniforms were required today; each individual stood as their own person, an amalgamation of their quirks, styles, and aspirations. Some carried bags slung over their shoulders, others clutched tightly to notebooks or bottles of water as if they were lifelines.

Among them, a young man stood out—not because of his stature, for he was neither tall nor short, but due to his distinctive appearance. His short black hair peeked out from under a white cap adorned with black spots, reminiscent of a cow's hide. He wore a long black coat that swayed slightly in the breeze, revealing a plain white shirt beneath. Blue jeans, scuffed at the knees, completed the outfit. A red backpack hung loosely from one shoulder, its weight seemingly unnoticed.

This young man, who bore an uncanny resemblance to Trafalgar Law from One Piece, stared at his hands as though they were foreign objects. He turned them over, flexing his fingers and watching the way his muscles moved beneath the skin. His expression was calm, but his thoughts were racing.

"Yare yare," he murmured, his voice low and smooth. "So, it's actually happening. At first, I thought this was some elaborate prank, but it seems the game has begun for real."

He lifted his gaze, scanning the crowd around him. His gray eyes flitted from one figure to the next, analyzing and calculating. "A large number of people here... And our outfits are all over the place. Mine… yeah, it's unmistakably Trafalgar Law's style. That's the character I chose. But the others look... ordinary. If I tie these observations together with the fact that I woke up here, at this very spot, it's clear: the game has started me at the UA entrance exam."

He took a slow step forward, his boots clicking softly against the pavement. The scene before him reminded him of a university campus more than a battlefield, though he knew better than to let his guard down.

"This feels different," he thought, his lips curving into the barest hint of a smile. "It's like stepping into a slice of life rather than the quick cuts of an anime. The atmosphere is richer… more immersive. Strange, but intriguing."

His observations halted when his gaze caught sight of a familiar figure near the academy's grand gate. A boy with messy green hair stood awkwardly, wearing a simple black school uniform. The green-haired boy took a tentative step forward but stumbled almost immediately.

"Ah!"

Before he could hit the ground, a girl with brown hair and warm, bright eyes reached out, lightly touching his arm. The boy stopped falling, suspended in mid-air as though gravity itself had decided to take a break.

"Huh? What's going on?" the boy exclaimed, his legs flailing slightly.

The girl smiled, her pink scarf fluttering in the breeze. "It'd be bad luck to trip on your first day, don't you think?"

From a short distance away, the black-clad figure watched with mild amusement. The wind tousled his hair as he tilted his head upward, a wry smile spreading across his face.

"Midoriya and Uraraka," he mused. "I'd almost forgotten this is where their story begins. This… this is going to be more interesting than I thought."

The gates creaked open, and the crowd surged forward into the main building. Inside, the lecture hall was vast, its tiered seating giving it the feel of a college classroom. The ceiling was high, and the room buzzed with hushed conversations as students settled into their seats. Trafalgar Law—or the boy who had become him—chose a spot near the back, his movements deliberate yet unhurried.

He yawned, stretching his arms over his head as though he'd been up all night. "They could've made this part less tedious," he muttered under his breath.

At the podium, a tall man with spiky blond hair and sunglasses addressed the room. His energy was infectious, his voice booming. "Alright, listen up! This is your chance to prove you've got what it takes to be heroes! The rules for the entrance exam are simple..."

As Present Mic explained the test, Law's thoughts drifted. "I already know how this goes. Let's just hope I can make good use of my abilities."

He glanced around the room, spotting familiar faces. There was Kaminari, his blonde hair standing out even in a crowd, and Tsuyu, her calm demeanor a sharp contrast to the nervous energy filling the room. Then there was Mineta, who looked like he might bolt at any second.

"They're just as animated as I remember," he thought, his lips quirking upward.

When the lecture finally ended, the students filed out into the hallway. Law followed, his hands tucked into his coat pockets. "Finally," he muttered, his voice tinged with relief. "That was starting to feel like a history lecture."

He adjusted his cap, the brim casting a shadow over his sharp features. A breeze swept through the corridor as he murmured to himself, "But now... the real fun begins."

The crowd gathered again, this time before Gate C. The atmosphere was tense, the weight of the upcoming trial pressing down on them. Law had changed into a white tracksuit with thin black stripes running down the sides. Despite the uniformity of their outfits, his spotted cap remained firmly on his head, a small reminder of his individuality.

The pro hero Eraserhead stood before them, his gray eyes shadowed by fatigue. He looked every bit the part of a man who hadn't slept in days.

Law couldn't help but smirk. "He's like this world's Batman—saving the day at night, brooding during the day."

Eraserhead's voice cut through the murmurs. "You have ten minutes. These ten minutes will determine whether you're worthy of entering UA High or not. Fight until you can't fight anymore!"

The declaration sent a ripple of determination and fear through the crowd. Faces hardened, fists clenched, and a few breaths were audibly shaky.

Law remained calm, his expression unreadable. He let out a soft chuckle, speaking just loud enough for himself to hear. "Poor them. It's just their bad luck to be in the same arena as me."
