Chapter 8 - Fang wars (2)

The two brothers faced off, their eyes locked in a fierce stare. The air was electric with tension, the very atmosphere seeming to vibrate with anticipation. And then, in an instant, they exploded into motion.

Michael, his red eyes blazing with ferocity, launched himself at Richard with a powerful leap. His fangs bared, he aimed a devastating bite at Richard's neck. But Richard, his yellow eyes glowing with a feral light, was no pushover.

With a swift swipe of his claws, Richard sent Michael crashing to the ground. The earth shook beneath them as Michael's body impacted the turf, sending shockwaves through the soil. But Michael was far from defeated.

He sprang to his feet, his pale skin smeared with dirt and grass. He charged at Richard, their bodies meeting in a blur of motion. Claws clashed, fangs snapped, and the two brothers exchanged blow for blow.

Richard landed a solid punch to Michael's jaw, sending him stumbling backward. But Michael quickly recovered, his eyes flashing with anger. With a swift kick, he sent Richard flying across the field.

Richard crashed to the ground, rolling to absorb the impact. But before he could rise, Michael was upon him, his fangs bared and ready to strike. Richard barely had time to react, raising his claws to defend himself.

The two brothers clashed, their bodies locked in a struggle that seemed to shake the very foundations of the earth. The air was filled with the sound of snarling, growling, and the scent of blood and sweat.

As the battle raged on, the two brothers seemed to be evenly matched. Both were powerful, both were skilled, and both were determined to emerge victorious. But Michael, driven by a fierce determination, slowly began to gain ground.

With a series of swift and precise blows, Michael sent Richard crashing to the ground once again.

As Richard struggled to rise, Michael stood over him, his chest heaving with exhaustion. His red eyes blazed with a fierce light, and his fangs seemed to be dripping with anticipation.

But Richard refused to yield. With a sudden burst of strength, he launched himself at Michael, their bodies clashing in a desperate bid for supremacy. His face was now less human, it looked primal with hair already covering parts of it.

Michael dashed forward with incredible speed, arriving in front of Richard within a split second. His entire expression seemed to that of complete rage and bloodlust.

Richard smiled mischievously. "That's it brother, show me your rage. I was starting to think you had gone soft," he snickered

But Michael wasn't reciprocating the smile, his face was rather distorted. "Let's stop this, Richard. We've had enough," he said

"Oh, but I'm just getting started," Richard cracked his neck. "How I've missed the old days, brother, especially the days before we went our separate ways. But you know what I miss the most?" he looked into Michael eyes, which were only filled with curiosity and a little bit of rage. But Richard wanted to augment that rage.

"You can't make me get angry, Richard," Michael said. "Let's just end this and go inside, for all our sa..."

"Ilsa," Richard muttered, interrupting Michael

Michael's eyes widened in shock, then dilated with extreme rage. "What... Did you say?" he asked, staring at Richard in disbelief and anger

"Ilsa's young, beautiful face. But ofcourse you didn't get to see that face for long," Richard replied casually

Michael clenched his fist, his red eyes was now glowing even more furiously. "Do not speak her name!" he roared. "Not after what you did,"

Richard smirked in victory, he had succeeded in amplifying his brother's anger. "You still blame me, brother? Come on, she was the one who had the thought. All I did was to support it, and boy was she easy to manipulate. She must have really loved you," he stated in a playful tone, which only added to his brother's rage.

"Richard! You'll suffer for what you did," Michael bellowed in anger

Richard scoffed. "Ooh, did I strike a nerve?" he said with a playful-frightful expression. "Haha... Give me a break, you've been saying that more than three centuries now. Why don't you actually get it done, brother, and quit being a bloody pacifist," he voiced out, suddenly getting angry.

"Don't push me, Richard. Just apologize for what you did, and we can end this," Micheal said softly, with his head facing the ground.

Richard clenched his fist, he was now completely filled with rage. "You still hold on to that... Hold on to her. Even after she's gone, you still choose her over your own family. You don't deserve to be here," he muttered coldly

"Neither do you," Michael replied and almost immediately, he disappeared from his spot. He reappeared behind Richard, his fist raised and ready to strike his head.

But before he could land the devastating blow, Richard instantly turned and caught the fist in his hand. He looked into Michael's eyes and smirked. "Have you forgotten brother? When fighting with me, you mustn't show strong emotions, especially rage," he said, and landed a punch into Michael's face, sending him flying across the field.

His body hit a nearby tree, causing a crack in it. The impact was so great that it sent shockwaves to the surrounding leaves and grasses. But Michael didn't look like he felt any pain, he was too angry to feel pain. His rage kept increasing and that only made Richard more stronger.

Michael knew this, but he didn't care. His face began to turn even more pale. His ears grew large and pointy, and he developed extra fangs.

Richard had also transformed, his body had grown taller and bulkier. Grey fur covered most part of his body, like a coat, his face had developed a snout and he looked like a tall human-wolf hybrid, but he looked more wolf than human. In other words, he had become a lycan.

AWOOOOO!

He howled and charged in on all fours, pounding the ground as he ran towards Michael.
