Prologue: The Fallen Star

The world was once a cradle of harmony. Verdant fields stretched endlessly beneath the sun's golden gaze, and magic thrummed through the earth, air, and seas, a lifeline uniting all who lived upon it. Kingdoms flourished, and their people basked in an era of peace that seemed eternal.

But peace is a fragile thing, shattered in an instant.

Five centuries ago, a star fell from the heavens. It was no gift from the gods nor a herald of fortune. The star landed with an earth-shattering roar in a quiet village on the western continent. What emerged was not light, but darkness—an insidious force that seeped into the soil and sky. The Void was born.

The land twisted first, its vibrant greens blackened and brittle. A thick miasma spread, choking life out of the air. Animals and humans alike succumbed, their bodies warped into grotesque monstrosities. Magic, once a source of life, became a weapon of destruction under the Void's influence.

For three centuries, the Void devoured all in its path, expanding like a hungry beast. By the time humanity realized the true scope of its threat, 81% of the world had fallen. Kingdoms crumbled, alliances shattered, and hope flickered like a dying flame.

But humanity is resilient, even in its darkest hour.

Two hundred years ago, a band of heroes emerged, their names spoken in whispers and songs. From diverse lands and backgrounds, they united under one cause: to drive the Void back. Some wielded swords that cleaved through darkness; others commanded magic and scrolls that burned away the miasma. Together, they pushed the Void back inch by inch, sacrificing everything to reclaim the land.

The heroes succeeded, if only partially. The Void was forced into retreat, and its encroachment halted at 49% of the world. Yet even in its dormancy, the Void remained a threat, its corrupted lands a stark reminder of its power.

But history has a way of repeating itself.

In the present day, a new shadow stirs within the Void. It no longer grows mindlessly; it plans. Seven pairs of eyes, seven pairs of arms and legs, seven people corrupted by the voids, energy beings of unimaginable power, now serve its will. The Void has not forgotten its defeat. This time, it intends to finish what it started.

And so, as the world braces itself for another descent into chaos, the burden of salvation falls to a hero sent from another world. But unbeknownst to all, it may not be the hero who determines the world's fate—it may lie in the hands of one who has always been overlooked.
