Chapter 1 - The Party Invitation
Jerry was lying on his bed, staring blankly at the ceiling.
He had just finished a grueling lacrosse practice and a few push-ups here and there, and although he's not a good player of the game, he was still trying his best to get better at it,
after the exercise and practice he was a bit tired, he had weakly flopped onto the bed to rest a bit.
His eyes were getting heavier, and he felt a bit sleepy, Just as he was about to drift off to sleep, he was jotted back to reality with the sound of a something hitting his window with a "clank!!". "Jerry, you in there?" a voice called out, it's sounded more like a whisper, like the voice was trying not to draw too much attention since it was already dark and quiet everywhere.
Hearing the familiar voice, Jerry could already tell that it was his best friend Tim
"Luckily my window was made from fiberglass" Jerry said to himself while getting off his bed and heading to the window to take a look, "how come I didn't hear his vehicle when he drove in?" Jerry was a bit puzzled.
He slid the window open, poking his head out, and saw Tim standing at the front of his jeep at Jerry,
Jerry's room was upstairs, so his window was quite high, that's why Tim had to throw stones at it
Jerry groaned and slide the window close and walked to his room door while rubbing his eyes, he went out of his room going downstairs, sliding his index finger along the staircase handle and feeling slightly frustrated.
He walked through the living room, going around one of the couches and went forward to opened the main door,
opening the door, he found Tim Vik standing on the front porch, looking at Tim properly there was an excited look on his face,
Jerry could tell From his looks that he's up to something weird again,
"Hey, man, what's up?, what have you been up to?" Tim asked while still smiling and stretching out his fist for their special fist bump, their fist bumping each other in the air and drew their hands back slowly opening their fists and wiggling their fingers, "phewwww" they both made a strange sound with their mouths,
After the first bump, Tim pushed past Jerry and walked into the living room, jumping across the couch to the other side as he started rushing upstairs to Jerry's room with excitement.
Jerry just shook his head while walking around the couch and following Tim from behind, still wondering why Tim looked so excited,
Just as Tim got to Jerry's room, he quickly opened the door and excitedly sat down at Jerry's work desk,
on the desk were some papers likely assignments with a cup filled with pen and other writing materials, they were also so book piles,
"So man, what's up" Tim asked again while still smiling
"Not much bro, I'm just trying to chill a bit," Jerry replied, while flopping back onto his bed, with his hands spread apart, still feeling tired From the little exercise, and after a few seconds he sat up right,
Tim took a pen from the desk and played with it a bit while swirling it and throw it at Jerry.
Jerry raised his hand quickly trying to catch it, his reflexes were fast, but he made the wrong movement, had already touched it, but it bounced away just before he could clench his hand,
"Dude, I heard there's a night party going on tonight, We should totally check it out.," Tim said with a smile, while watching the pen fall to the floor
After picking up the pen from the floor, Jerry raised an eyebrow. "A party? What's the occasion?" Jerry swirls the pen from finger to finger.
Tim shrugged. "I don't know, but it's a cool party that's going to take place in The woods, do you remember Erin Moore the hottest girl from our school she'll be there, I heard there will be live music, alcohol, pizza, plus the good part is that the party is taking place at the yard of the old cursed haunted house? The party is going to be a blast."
Jerry pondered for a moment. " That actually sounds pretty cool, But I've heard rumors of people going missing while exploring the coursed hunted house and different reports has been filed to the Roomba police department about it, so that area should currently be restricted, aren't we going to get in trouble for partying there, and even more trouble for the alcohol."
Tim's a bit frustrated, said. "Woah chill bro, are you scared of getting in trouble?, he-he well don't worry, it's a secret party, they're using silent disco Headphone's?"
Jerry, a bit confused, scratched the back of his head," Huh? Silent disco headphone, what's that?"
Tim with a wide smile on his face. "Of course you don't know what a silent disco headphone is, do you even know anything at all." Tim said with a tone of playful sarcasm,
Tim leaned back a bit and started to explain, "A silent disco headphone is a special headset that allows multiple people to listen to the same music, but through individual headsets. It's like having your own personal DJ, but everyone around you is listening to the same thing".
Tim sat up right and pondered a bit on how to explain it better for Jerry to understand "Think of it like this, imagine you're at a party with hundreds of people, and everyone is listening to the same music. But instead of blasting the music through speakers, everyone is wearing these special headsets that transmit the music directly to their ears."
Jerry, with an understanding look on his face, now clearly understood the situation. "Oh!! So that's what it is, I guess with something like that the party can be completely silent since the party is at the hunted house in the woods, I guess the corpse will not be about to find out."
Tim reduced his voice down to a whisper then asked, "so where's your dad?"
Jerry let out a soft sigh "he's got another shift today, so he's not coming home tonight, I guess" Jerry stared down at his feet
With a satisfied look on his face, Tim said, "Okay, I guess that should be a good thing since he's not around. I guess we could party all night, so better wipe that look off your face".
"I guess?" Jerry made a small sigh and slowly stood up, walking to his wardrobe, opening the two doors and started going through his clothes." just wait, let me get changed"
Tim looking annoyed suddenly stood up from the table went over to Jerry and held his wrist dragging him through his opened room door and down the stairs "let's go, you're already looking good plus the party might have already started"
After reaching the front porch Jerry stop and Tim let go of Jerry's wrist and headed towards his jeep, Jerry then shut the main door and turned on the security alarm typing in the code before heading to Tim's jeep,
While he was setting up the security alarm, Tim had already gotten into his jeep and started the engine,
As soon as Jerry got to the jeep he opened the door and sat at the front seat next to the driver and did his seat belt, Tim then slowly revised the jeep turning around and drove off…
