After receiving Aizen's order, Ichimaru Gin rushed toward the source of the Reiatsu explosion at full speed. As he approached the Western Gate of Seireitei (Baidaomon), he slowed his pace, carefully observing his surroundings. However, the moment his eyes landed on a certain figure standing near the gate, his usual composed expression faltered.
"It can't be him…" Gin thought to himself, his mind racing.
A new, even more daring plan began to take shape in his mind, more audacious than anything he had originally intended.
"Shoot to kill—Shinsō."
Gin calmly unsheathed his Zanpakutō, pointing its tip toward the White Road Gate. In a low voice, he activated its Shikai.
A sharp whoosh echoed through the air as the blade elongated at blinding speed, piercing forward like a bullet—heading straight for Aaron.
Gasps erupted from those watching outside the gate.
Just as Yoruichi was about to intervene and shield Aaron, the blade unexpectedly skewered Jidanbō, the massive gatekeeper, instead.
Jidanbō's eyes widened in disbelief as the extended Zanpakutō stopped just short of his heart.
A powerful impact followed, sending the giant gatekeeper flying backward like a ragdoll.
He hurtled toward Ichigo and his group, but before he could crush them, Sado suddenly leaped forward, roaring as he braced himself.
Using all his strength, Sado managed to slow Jidanbō's fall, redirecting him just enough to prevent disaster.
The two of them—one giant, one hulking human—were blasted through several nearby buildings, leaving a trail of destruction in their wake.
BOOM!
CRASH!
Dust and debris billowed into the air as Baidaomon slammed shut due to Jidanbō's absence.
"Sado!" Ichigo shouted, dashing toward the collapsed ruins.
The others followed closely behind, worry etched on their faces.
Meanwhile, Gin stood there, his eyes slightly narrowed, his usual mischievous smile still in place—as if he was certain that Aaron wouldn't retaliate.
Aaron, however, gazed calmly at the silver-haired man before him. A small, knowing smirk played on his lips.
"He acts like a snake, but I know exactly what he's thinking."
Gin might believe his secrets were his alone to bear.
But as someone who had seen beyond time, Aaron understood everything.
He hadn't expected Gin to act so boldly, practically inviting his own death.
"Aren't you afraid I'll kill you?" Aaron asked, chuckling softly.
"Of course, I'm afraid," Gin replied smoothly.
"Then why provoke me?"
Gin's smirk deepened. "Why not?"
"I don't have the luxury of a grand destiny like you. My life is worthless. The only thing I can do… is gamble."
Gin spoke with the casual ease of an old friend reminiscing over drinks.
Aaron shook his head with a smile. "When you freed Aizen over a hundred years ago, your first thought wasn't to save him—it was to kill him, wasn't it?"
For the first time, Gin's signature fox-like grin faltered.
His eyes slowly opened, revealing an expression of genuine shock.
"You were trying to bait me into killing you, weren't you?" Aaron continued.
"If I kill you, it gives me a reason to go after Aizen."
"You believe I'm a ticking time bomb—and you think that by forcing my hand, I'll eventually take him down for you."
Aaron took a slow step forward, his piercing gaze locking onto Gin.
Gin instinctively stepped back, his confident façade cracking. A chill ran down his spine.
"He sees everything…"
Aaron simply smiled. "You don't know me at all."
In the blink of an eye, he vanished.
A single strike.
The gleam of a blade.
The scent of blood.
Gin staggered, a deep wound running through his torso. He collapsed to the ground, crimson pooling beneath him.
Meanwhile, in the Fifth Division Barracks…
Aizen sat calmly at his desk, practicing calligraphy, his brush gliding smoothly over the parchment.
Beside him, Hinamori Momo stood quietly, watching him with a dreamy, adoring expression.
Suddenly, Aizen's brush trembled ever so slightly before he steadied his hand.
Hinamori didn't notice the subtle movement.
Finishing the final stroke of his kanji, Aizen set the brush down with deliberate care.
"Hinamori, I need to step out for a moment. Can I trust you to handle the division's affairs while I'm gone?"
Hinamori blushed slightly at his gentle tone, nodding enthusiastically. "Of course, Captain Aizen! I won't let you down!"
Aizen gave her a warm, reassuring smile. "Thank you. I appreciate it."
With that, he rose from his seat and exited the captain's office.
As he walked through the Fifth Division Barracks, he offered polite nods to his subordinates, maintaining his ever-present aura of charisma.
But the moment he stepped beyond the barracks, his warm expression vanished.
His gaze sharpened as he turned toward Baidaomon—toward the battle unfolding there.
Without hesitation, Aizen disappeared in a flash of Shunpo.
Back at the gate, Aaron stood over Ichimaru Gin's fallen body, his smirk widening slightly in satisfaction.
