Seireitei, Fifth Division Barracks

Aizen Sōsuke, the Captain of the Fifth Division, stood in the calligraphy professor's room, quietly observing a piece of calligraphy hanging on the wall. The evening breeze rustled through the branches in the garden, creating a soft, whispering sound.

Just then, the door behind Aizen creaked open slightly. Another breeze swept through, causing the door to close again with a faint click.

At that moment, Aizen, still motionless, released his Reiatsu, allowing it to slowly envelop the entire room.

Soon, accompanied by barely perceptible footsteps, Tōsen Kaname, wearing his signature silver-lensed goggles, appeared beside Aizen. Kneeling on one knee after adjusting his uniform, he spoke respectfully in a hushed voice.

"Lord Aizen, as expected, everything is progressing smoothly."

He paused briefly before adding, "However..."

Aizen, still fixated on the calligraphy, acted as if Tōsen were nothing more than air. After a long silence, he finally asked in a calm voice, "What happened?"

Tōsen quickly responded, lowering his tone. "The Gillian under our control was not repelled by the boy. Instead, it inexplicably inflicted self-harm before retreating on its own."

Aizen's eyebrows twitched slightly at the unexpected report. He turned to look at Tōsen and asked, "Was it him?"

"Lord Aizen, it is exactly as you predicted. However, he did not engage. He merely released his Reiatsu."

Aizen regarded Tōsen for a moment before speaking softly. "I see. You may leave."

Tōsen did not hesitate. With a respectful nod, he replied, "Yes, Lord Aizen."

After bowing, his figure vanished into the night. The door creaked open slightly before closing once more.

Once Tōsen was gone, Aizen withdrew his Reiatsu and slowly seated himself on a futon. He furrowed his brow as a certain figure emerged in his mind. Shaking his head slightly, he murmured to himself, "If he can do it, then so can I."

With that, he adjusted his attire. Moments later, his presence—and Reiatsu—vanished completely from the room.

Early Morning, Central 46 Compound

Near the chambers of Central 46, the elders, clad in their traditional robes, moved in an orderly procession, escorted by guards. One by one, they entered the dimly lit chamber and took their designated seats. Only the center of the vast room remained illuminated, a single beam of light filtering through the skylight above.

From the shadows, a hooded figure slowly stepped into the light. As the elders laid eyes on him, murmurs of alarm spread through the room.

"Who dares to trespass in the Central 46 chambers?!"

"State your name at once!"

"Wait... isn't that Captain Aizen Sōsuke?!"

"Do you understand the consequences of this intrusion?! Guards! Seize him immediately!"

Despite the outburst of outrage, Aizen remained unfazed, his usual composed smile never faltering.

Unbeknownst to the elders, Aizen had already used Kyōka Suigetsu to manipulate the senses of the guards stationed outside. They would remain oblivious to everything transpiring within the chamber, no matter how loud the commotion.

The room fell into tense silence as an elderly member, designated "Six," rose from his seat and pointed at Aizen angrily. "Did you not hear us? Explain yourself at once!"

Aizen chuckled softly, tilting his head. "Do you even realize who you are speaking to?"

The elder, taken aback by the defiance, erupted in fury. "For someone with such a refined and gentle appearance, you certainly lack discipline! You show nothing but arrogance and disregard for authority!"

Aizen merely smiled in response.

A moment later, a glint of steel flashed through the air. The elder barely had time to react before his severed head tumbled to the floor. His lifeless body collapsed in a heap, blood pooling around it.

"You dare assassinate a member of Central 46?!"

"Restrain him! There may still be time to spare your life!"

"Aizen Sōsuke! Do you comprehend the gravity of your actions?!"

"Even if the Spirit King himself were present, you would not escape judgment!"

The remaining forty-five elders stood abruptly, their voices raised in anger and disbelief.

Aizen, however, showed no change in demeanor. Instead, he let out a soft sigh. "The Spirit King?" He scoffed. "A mere stagnant existence—a wedge to maintain a flawed world order."

Ignoring their continued protests, he tightened his grip on Kyōka Suigetsu. The lingering figure from his thoughts resurfaced, a specter haunting the edge of his consciousness. Annoyed, Aizen lifted his Zanpakutō and pointed the blade downward.

Time seemed to freeze within the chamber.

A strange blue light emanated from Kyōka Suigetsu, illuminating the dim space in an instant. The very ground beneath them shimmered, appearing like a vast, endless lake. As the sword's tip made contact with the floor, ripples spread outward in mesmerizing waves.

The elders' bodies stiffened. One by one, they collapsed to the ground, lifeless.

Aizen watched the scene unfold with cold indifference.

"If you can do it, then so can I."

He sneered, his tone laced with contempt. "Soul Society's so-called greatest genius? Nothing more than a man blindly wielding a blade."

His smile darkened. "When I stand at the pinnacle, you will all kneel before me."
