I turned round and waved to everyone in the orphanage. 'See you guys, I'll come visit in a few months.'
'See you.'
'See you, tobirama.'
'See you, tobi brother.'
I have to hurry. My zeppelin was due to leave in an hour. Finally, today was the day. I'd been waiting for this day since the day I arrived in the Hunterxhunter world. The day my adventure began. This world was vast and unexplored. Even in the so-called known world, historical ruins and magical monsters are constantly being discovered. Not to mention the dark continent or the grown world trees that, according to legend, can even reach other planets. In short, there was a tonne to discover and I'm just getting started.
...............…
As the zeppelin left the New York New City airport, I learnt something new today. Bureaucracy is a pile of shit and a hellhole no matter what world you are in. I arrived at the airport 50 minutes before take-off and was barely able to board the airship. Passport control and checking parental (Aunt Lily's) authorisation papers should not be so difficult.
About an hour after the zeppelin took off, I was jolted out of my thoughts by a loud noise coming from the front cabin. Just a few seconds later the door separating the cabins opened and several armed assailants poured in. God, I wonder if it could have been a more classic plot.
I only had to look at them once to realise that none of the bandits were nen users. Unless I assumed that one of them was controlling his aura so well that I couldn't tell the difference, but why would people of that calibre bother robbing an zeppelin?
Meanwhile, from the cabin behind us, voices were raised. They attacked from multiple points at the same time. They're still weak, this should be easy.
I'm waiting for one of the men to approach me. I've decided not to use my nen during this fight.
'You white-haired brat, put your hands up now.'
'Please, sir. Don't shoot. I'll give you everything.'
The man spoke as he approached with a dirty smile on his face. 'Oh, you will.'
With less than two metres between us, I approached the man with a single leap and crushed his throat with one hand. Even in his last moments, he didn't fully understand what had happened. How could a scared little boy kill him!
For a moment, the man's friends were also stunned. A fatal moment, enough for three kunai to fly and pierce their throats. There were only two of them left. Suddenly, bullets started raining down on me like crazy. There were screams of panic as I used the corpse of the first dead man as a shield.
One of the two shuriken I quickly threw lodged in the throat of one of the men. The other man was saved by sliding to the side at the last moment only for me to pull the iron wire attached to the shuriken and change its direction so that it stuck in the back of his head.
'Anybody hurt? Anyone with first aid knowledge, start helping.'
The chaos soon began to calm down as someone took control. The problem now was what to do, do I go to the front cabin or the back cabin?
Well, before I had to think more, the voices in the back cabin stopped and the door opened. A young man with green hair came in. After looking around, he said, 'Thank God, I feared the worst when I heard the gunshots, but you have already taken care of the people here. Who wants to follow me to the front cabin?'
I quickly replied, 'I'll follow you.'
Without further ado we made our way to the front cabin, by which time I had already gathered my kunai and shuriken.
It took even less time than before to clear the front cabin, and with the zeppelin security guards finally mobilising, the bandits were subdued and the conflict was over. The young man and I stood before the captain 25 minutes later.
The captain is sitting opposite us with a big smile on his face. After looking at us for a while, he started to speak. 'Thank you for your help. The airline company agrees with me, so we have decided to refund your ticket fees and we have decided on a reward of 100.000 jenny. You also get a 50% discount on every journey you will make with this airline from now on. Also, if you want, you can move to VIP cabins during this journey.'
The green-haired young man next to me spoke before I could speak. I really need to learn his name now. I'm tired of calling him the green-haired youth.
'It doesn't matter. We did our duty. Anyone in our place would have done the same thing.'
'I agree with him. Anyone would have done the same thing in our place.'
After talking to the captain for a while, we left the captain to go to our new VIP cabins.
As I was walking in the corridor, I turned to the young man next to me and started talking by extending my hand.
'I don't think we've met before, I'm Tobirama, Tobirama Senju. Nice to meet you.'
The room shook my outstretched hand with a smile.
'I am Sadaso. It's a pleasure to meet a young and talented fighter like you. If you don't misunderstand, where are you going?'
I answered with a small smile.
'You probably already guessed. Heavens arena. You're probably going there too.'
He replied with a big smile.
'Obviously it would be a big coincidence if we were somewhere else, but two fighters on an airship going to the city of heavens is quite obvious.'
'Then I hope we can meet in a fair contest and share our trump cards. To be honest, my hands are a little itchy after this fight.'
'I look forward to that day.'
The conversation had to stop there, we had both reached our cabins and decided to leave there.
...............…
As I sat in the cabin, I couldn't help but think about recent events. Or rather, the moment I heard someone say the name 'Sadaso', I knew who he was and where he looked familiar. In the anime and manga, he was one of the rookie killers who challenged Killua and Gon. The difference between the anime and the current version was huge. It was clear that the 'rookie baptism' in the Heavens arena took more than just his arm and face. Sadaso then was a coward who feared Killua and ran away without even challenging him. The present Sadaso was brave enough to attack armed bandits in defence of civilians.
The question was now clear. Thanks to Senju Tobirama's memories, I knew that no matter how powerful a person was, he would need a good team. Behind Hashirama was first the Senju clan and then all of Konoha, but I also had to be careful. Part of the reason for Senju Tobirama's death was that he stayed behind to protect others like Danzo and Hiruzen. A weak team would have dragged me down.
I think the rookie killers of the Heavens arena are quite skilled. First they are treated as badly as possible with nen. Then they are left to master the nen on their own without any regular training, and most of them at least manage to create appropriate abilities to compensate for their physical disabilities.
It's best to observe until Sadaso reaches the 200th floor. Then I'll decide.
