Chapter 6 - A Parallel World

Chapter Six: A Parallel World

Weeks had passed since Elias began learning to harness his new powers, and over time, he began to delve deeper into understanding the world he had been thrown into. He knew that everything here was a test for him. Every step he took on this dark path only raised more questions. Was he truly here by his own volition? Or was he part of something bigger than he could ever imagine?

One day, as he trained in combat skills in the training grounds, the old man approached him. His expression was more serious than usual. "Elias, there's something you need to know about this world."

The voice in his head whispered every time he tried to understand: "You will face challenges beyond your imagination."

"Is this world just another test?" Elias asked, his gaze directed at the old man.

The man responded in a calm voice, "In this world, power is not just a weapon in your hand. Power is the truth that leads you to your destiny."

Those words stirred doubt in Elias's heart. Something about this world felt different. Such power didn't come without a price.

"There is a place you must visit, a place you haven't gone to yet. It's time to head to the abyss," said the old man, gesturing toward a dark and unfamiliar path.

Elias took a deep breath, knowing this journey would be harder than anything he had faced before. As they walked together through the dense forests, Elias couldn't escape those unsettling thoughts. There was a faint voice in his head saying: "You've just been a test tool until now, but what is the ultimate goal of all this?"

Eventually, they arrived at the bottom of a deep valley, where there was a ruined structure that seemed to be an ancient temple. The stone blocks were scattered around the area, as if they were a testimony to times long past. The place was teeming with invisible forces, and as they approached, Elias felt that something was unusual about this place.

"This is where your true knowledge will begin. But remember, what you discover here could change everything for you," said the old man, pointing to the entrance hidden behind darkness.

Elias cautiously moved forward, feeling a sense of unease creeping into his heart. It didn't seem like anyone had been here in a long time. Every step he took down the corridor seemed to disappear into the dark air.

Deep within this ruined temple, Elias discovered something unexpected: a small room filled with ancient carvings. The images on the walls depicted ancient powers and parallel worlds. In one corner, there was a stone that shimmered with a faint blue glow, as if this stone was guiding him directly.

As Elias approached, his energy surged suddenly, causing him to feel dizzy. When he touched it, something strange happened. It felt as if his mind had separated from his body. Everything around him turned foggy. He began to see visions of another world, visions that were impossible to explain. These images were filled with immense powers, with people fighting in massive battles, as if they were trying to control this universe.

Then, he heard words echoing in his ear: "You are here, Elias. But are you ready for the true knowledge?"

The voice was familiar, but he couldn't place it. Before he could answer, the entire place suddenly shook. The temple began to collapse around him. The walls cracked, and the voice in his head grew louder. Something bigger was waiting.

Contrary to everything he expected, he felt something strange in his heart. The power he felt intertwined with his abilities in an incomprehensible way. He wondered if he was about to discover something that would lead him to his ultimate fate, or if he was facing a danger far beyond his capacity.

"If you want to know the truth, you must pay the price." The voice returned once more.

The moment Elias turned around, he found himself in a place that was not where he had been. The walls had disappeared, and he was surrounded by darkness. He felt a sense of fear, but his heart was beating stronger than ever before.

As he tried to catch his breath, a group of warriors who had been watching him since the beginning appeared before him. Their eyes were filled with mystery and malice. As they approached, one of them said in a dry voice: "You are now part of the game. And if you want to survive, you must accept your fate."

But Elias did not back down. He knew that the path he had chosen could not be reversed now. He began to gather his strength, realizing that this battle would mark the beginning of something much larger, something he couldn't even begin to imagine.
