The sound of students gasps could be heard from around as his classmates looked at him in shock
The commotion attracted other people of course that includes Luke, seeing the bandages slithering across the air irregularly people were awed
Luke was shocked but then he sneered "so...the bastard awakened his ability, I see..."
Ms. Camille's face showed surprise for a moment then reverted back to the her blank expression, of course she knew who Kaito was, the only kid without an ability in her class was not difficult to remember
"Even so... it's not ideal for you to participate in the exams when you just awakened" she patiently explained
"I know teacher" Kaito said slowly
"And you still decided to go through with it?" Ms. Camille said
"Yes" Kaito nodded
Ms. Camille looked at this student then sighed and didn't bother to convince him otherwise, then she waves her hand dismissively and Kaito returns to join the others, the way others looked at him changed but no one approached him as he didn't have any ability before now and nobody really talked to him
Ms. Camille looked at everybody and said "now if you are here without the consent of your parents we will have to stop you from participating in the exams. We contacted all your parents before now, which so all of you here have the consent of your parents, let's wait for the other classes to finish and listen to the arrangements"
After saying so much she let them to their own devices

Few minutes later the principal stood before the students once again
"Alright students, allow me to introduce you to the person in charge of the exams, Elijah Blade"
The principal said as casually as possible the moved aside as a blonde guy with in suits like the other guys surrounding the buses, he had a wild feeling to him, which was contrasting to his attire yet it seems to have been perfectly blended together
"They are all yours Mr. Blade" the principal said as he retreated to the side
The students kept quiet as they felt a little scared by the mere presence of this man especially as he started talking
"Now I'm sure you know that we will be conducting the exams in the wild, and for this exams me and my brothers will be in charge of protection as to ensure that we can bring as many of you back alive as possible"
The way he was talking it was as if he did not care about the life and death of the students
Pretty sure it made the students question whether this guy is actually reliable, but seeing as this exams was sponsored by the big wigs in the Fifth base
Speaking of Bases, these Bases has several powers involved in it but there are one or two Behemoths, The Wasser Family is a big family in the Fifth Base tho the Military is a Behemoth
A Behemoth refers to those powers established by those powerful people that started the Federation, Phil Wasser also known as the god of water, his family consist of water ability users, they recruit water users as member's of the family and there are those from the first bloodline of the god of water
Luke, is one of them, of course he is from one of the many branch families scattered around the Federation, but even at that, this branch families are very influential in their located territory, but I digress
"Well, I'm not going to bore you with too much talk most of you guys are eager to get things started so since we've done all we need to do, let's get on with it then everyone board the buses as we'd best be on our way if we want to get there before nightfall" Elijah said
With that the students got on the buses with there luggages and with the directions of the teachers then the principal and the teachers watched as the students left in the buses
Ms. Camille walked to the side of the principal
"How many of them do you think will come back alive?" She asked him
"I don't know" the principal said with a slight shake of his head "heck I don't understand what those bigshots are thinking"

Kaito walked with Miguel to the back seat of the bus assigned to their class, there were two ability users in black suit
"So how did it feel?" Miguel asked
"How did what feel?" Kaito says confused
"Seeing Luke" Miguel said
"Really, if you didn't hold me back I don't know what I would do, come to think of it, I don't know right now" Kaito replied with an uncertain expression
"Sigh, forget about it let's save our strength for the exam" Miguel said
With that Miguel closed his eyes to rest, seeing this Kiato did the same
But it wasn't really the same with the other students they were abuzz with excitement as they looked around
After a while the excitement cooled down, they began discussing about what the exam is going to be like
It wasn't very long they left the city into the wild area after driving for an long time they arrived a military base in the middle of nowhere
After all procedures were completed they were allowed through the gates, it was almost evening
Military personnel in black suits like the others that were escorting their bus were seen everywhere, the students were busy looking everywhere with curiously, but then something attracted their attention, it was a forest a few kilometers behind the base it really lives an impression
"Woah, is that a a forest? those trees are huge"
"Yeah, and it's like the textbooks or the little forest reserve in the base at all"
"But are we going to have out exams in there?"
"Wait, isn't that dangerous?"
"Oh my goodness, it is safe to go in there?"
The student's excitement gradually started turning to fear, the buses came to a halt then the soldiers directed the students out of the bus, and gosh they were still as rowdy as ever
"Alright kids! Quiet down!!" Elijah's voice sounded loudly and the students all shut up immediately, when the place was finally quiet
"Now, your concerns are not unfounded" his voice was not loud but everybody could here him audibly
"but I assure you that the military has taken precautions to ensure your security and safe for this exams, now I'll tell you more details when you're about to start the exams, everybody line up and enter the living area in the base" Elijah said
"Now students you must be tired from the journey , this is just one of our established bases in the wilderness, for now follow the soldiers instructions and they would lead you to where you would be staying for a while"
With that Mr. Blade left and then another soldier stepped up
"Alright share yourselves into a group of four then follow the soldiers of course girls and boys are separate, also someone will come to inform you all when it's dinner time"
The students gathered together with those there were familiar with of course Kaito and Miguel gathered together with two other unfamiliar faces, how to describe them?
Well on simple words, a wuss and a rascal , the room was divided into two parts with a small sitting room with two couch and a table in the center, then in either side of the sitting room were rooms with two beds and a bathrooms
Kaito and Miguel choose one so did the other two, then they all came out to the sitting room probably after settling their luggage but there was an awkward silence which was broken by Kaito
"Hey there my name is Kaito and this is Miguel nice to meet you guys" Kaito tried to make small take
"Umm... My name is Vincent Silver this guy here is called Kaleb Silver, it might be unbelievable but we are brothers and he might not look it but I he is principled and kind and n..." the wuss replied while looking down but slowly he gains courage as he continues talking but was cut off
"You talk too much." Kaleb said coldly as he then looks at Kaito "you are that kid who just awakened his ability right?"
"Yeah" Kaito shrugged
"Why did you decide to enter the exams? It's very risky" Vincent asked him with concern
"That's something I can't really say" Kaito said with a smile then the room once again fell into silence
"Okay let's freshen up and pick this up later as we wait for dinner shall we?" Miguel said
"Agreed" they all nodded and went to their rooms
Few minutes later, they were out of there rooms and on the couch, two on each
"The military really know how to live the life" Kaito said
"Tell me about it, these rooms are like hotels" Miguel said
"Yeah the military is sponsored by the Federation so they do have enough capital but with it comes great danger" Vincent slowly explained
"That danger is what makes them stronger than regular ability users" Kaleb said with a more light tone to his voice
"I would prefer one of the big families or organization tho" Vincent said
"Why would you prefer them?" Kaito asked curiously
"Well you can grow stronger with their resources and it's safer than the military, albeit it's a little bit slow compared to the speed of growth on the military what about you guys which would you prefer?" Vincent said
"I would like which ever would make me stronger fast, so I guess it's the military for me" Kaito said with some thoughts
"As for me well I don't really know yet I would love to be in a carefree organization, I'll see first then I'll decide"
"Well Kaleb? What about you?" Miguel asked as everyone looked at him
Seeing as everyone was looking at him he let out a sigh and then
"The military tho it's dangerous they grow stronger fast, that's all" he said
The others looked at Kaleb strangely
"You're a buzz killer you know that?" Kaito said to Kaleb with a sigh
Before they could continue a knock was heard as a voice sounded
"It's time for dinner" a cold voice sounded
Then the sound of footsteps drifting away was heard then they looked at themselves and they all stood up and walked outside and quickly followed the soldier as he also knocked on the doors of the others then he slowly led the students to the dinning hall
It was more like a banquet hall there was so many dishes on the tables giving off an alluring scent, the guys were all awed the girls were seen coming in then a soldier walked to the front of the students
"You can seat anywhere and eat no need to hold back, eat all you want the exams will commence tomorrow"
With that the soldier went to the side of the hall seeing this the students rushed to seat down a then the scene became lively and the night passed like that
