Jenna slowly opened her eyes, blinking away the remnants of sleep. The warm sunlight streaming through her window illuminated her cozy bedroom, casting a golden glow on the soft blankets and plush pillows.
she sat up, greeted by the sweet melodies of birds chirping outside her window.
Jenna stretched her arms, feeling the gentle morning breeze rustle her hair. She swung her legs over the side of the bed, her feet dangling in the air as she listened to the birds chirping, She finally got up heading downstairs.
Jenna grasped the banister, her eyes fixed on the floor below as she made her way down the stairs.
As she descended, the sound of muffled voices and faint music grew louder. Jenna's curiosity piqued, what's going on she said.
Suddenly, a loud "Surprise!" echoed through the room, and jenna's eyes widened as she took in the scene before her.
The living room was filled with balloons, streamers, and a giant banner reading "Happy Birthday Jenna!" in glittery letters. Her friends and family, all wearing party hats, quickly she scanned the room looking for a particular person but he wasn't there, grinned at her from behind a sprawling table laden with food, cake, and gifts.
Jenna's heart swelled with emotion as she stared at the crowd, her eyes welling up with tears.
Tory, her best friend, rushed forward, enveloping Jenna in a tight hug. "Happy birthday, girl!" she exclaimed.
As jenna hugged Tory back, she whispered in her ear "Jason isn't here" I'm sure he has a good reason and I'm sure he'll be here to pick you up for the dance, Tory replied.
Jenna gave off a faint smile, and she quickly looked away, trying to compose herself.
The party went on till 2 o'clock as her friends dispersed back to their homes but Tory stayed back she was gonna to go to the dance from Jenna's home.
The evening sunlight cast a warm glow through Jenna's room window, two boys, tony and Jason, pulled up to jenna's house in jason's sleek black sedan. They looked so good in the perfect evening sunlight , tony in a tailored tuxedo and Jason in a sharp custom made suit, their faces beaming with excitement.
Jenna, resplendent in a stunning blue gown, and her friend Tory , looking lovely in a flowing red dress, they waited nervously in the foyer.
Jenna's mom, beaming with pride, the boys handed them each a corsage Jason also gave Jenna a box with a delicate satin ribbon wrapped around it, tied in a precise, elegant bow. A small gift tag, bearing jenna's name in bold, black script, hung from the ribbon, adding a touch of personal, thoughtful flair.
Jenna's mom leaned towards Jenna giving her a warm hug as she whispered in Jenna's ear you know what to do today, she took the corsage and gift box from Jenna and smiled 🙂..
"Wow, you look stunning," jason said, offering Jenna his arm.
Jenna blushed, feeling like a princess, as she took his arm and walked with him to the car. Tony gallantly opened the door for Tory, and they slid into the backseat together.
As they drove into the sunset, jenna glanced back at her mom, who was waving goodbye from the doorway. She felt a thrill of excitement, knowing that tonight was going to be a night to remember "like literally a night to remember".
