Chapter Fifteen: The Monster's Mistake
Nora's POV
I woke to the feeling of something warm sliding across my cheek.
For a brief, blissful second, I thought I was home.
I thought I was safe.
Then I opened my eyes.
And Dorian was hovering over me.
A sickening wave of panic crashed over me.
I jerked back instinctively, but the chains yanked me in place, the silver cuffs biting into my wrists. My heart slammed against my ribs as reality set in.
What was happening?
What was he about to do?

No, no, no.
"Stay still," Dorian murmured, his green eyes gleaming in the flicking lantern light.
His fingers trailed lazily down my arm, sending a violent shudder through me.
I felt sick.
I twisted away, pressing myself against the wall as much as the chains would allow. "Get the hell away from me. Stay away from me you beast"
