Unable to corrupt and possess the mortals of this universe anymore, the Valghuli are left without a physical form to continue fighting. You walk over to the edge of the tower and look down over the kingdom to see that Izael and Nahzgor's armies are slowly pushing the invading cultists back and securing the kingdom's borders.
Aatu walks up beside you and you see him use his power to restore the kingdom's border wall once again. He speaks to you in an optimistic tone as the allied forces wipe out the remaining cultists and Tarragons inside the kingdom and push the battle back outside the kingdom's walls.
" Thank you, Abbadon. You have proven here tonight that The None's forces can be defeated, and even if we do not succeed against The None himself, I have no doubt that this victory will be remembered across the Omniverse as the time we won. "
You look over at Aatu with a smile and nod your head in acknowledgment before Reylesh comes bursting into the tower wearing a suit of black armor.
" DID WE JUST WIN!? "
She shouts in disbelief as she approaches you and the rest of the Gods.
" We won the battle, but the war is far from over. Ultimately, this struggle remains one that will rage on for eternity unless Abbadon can defeat The None once and for all. "
Izael remarks as he walks closer to you and puts his hand on your shoulder.
" He's the only one who can do it, and he's our last resort. "
" So what's the plan then? The Valghuli here may be defeated, but if the Exemplars reach Aria, then this planet is finished and our victory here will be meaningless. "
Nahzgor inquires with a concerned demeanor.
" Our plan is to intercept them and take the fight away from here. I will teleport us to impede their path within this universe so we can split them up and handle them separately while Abbadon fights The None. "
Aatu answers in a serious tone before looking at Reylesh and Faerah.
" Sisters. Valanyah is the weakest of all of the Exemplars, so it would be the most advantageous for us if both of you take her on. I know that Faerah isn't a fighter, but as long as she's there to heal you, you shouldn't have to worry about Valanyah overpowering you. "
Faerah nods her head with a soft smile before Reylesh asks Aatu a question with uncertainty.
" What if I can't beat her? I felt how strong she was back when we were fighting in Voldoor and she was clearly holding back for her own amusement. She didn't even consider me a threat and could've effortlessly killed me if she wanted to. I hate to admit this, Aatu, but I'm scared… scared that my all won't be enough to beat her even if I do have Faerah's help. "
Aatu looks at his little sister with a brotherly gaze as he walks up to her and holds her hands in front of him. Aatu looks down at her with admiration in his eyes as he answers her.
" You have every right to be worried… but I believe in you. You'd be surprised what Faerah is capable of despite her abstinence from battle. With this new power that Abbadon has granted you, I'd like to think that the fight will be alot more even than you think it will be. You're strong too, Reylesh. Don't let your fears defeat you before the fight even begins. "
Reylesh blushes as she looks up at her older brother and nods subtly, obviously enchanted by her brother's kind words. Faerah then approaches and stands next to her sister with a confident stare before speaking to her.
" We can do this. "
Reylesh's worrisome demeanor instantly fades and she smiles back at Faerah before Aatu turns his attention towards his brothers.
" Izael. Nahzgor. You two will be fighting Vaktash because he's the most powerful of the three Exemplars. He's big and very strong, but don't forget that it's his voice that makes him the most formidable. His words can bend any course of events to his will, and I'm still not exactly sure how his power works. Fighting him will push the boundaries of what you both are capable of, but if you work together, I think there's a somewhat decent possibility of you both emerging victorious. "
" Ha! There is no better adversary for me to unleash my full power against! I am satisfied with your decision, brother, and I'm sure that Izael and I will make you proud! "
Nahzgor replies arrogantly before Izael interjects with his own perspective.
" It would be wise to not underestimate Vaktash, brother. I have seen what he is capable of. Even the likes of Tom and Abbadon were not exempt from the power of his voice, and he didn't even have to engage them physically to stop them. I have no doubt that this fight will be our most difficult yet, and one misstep may very well lead to our demise. "
Nahzgor looks back at Izael and you expect him to respond to his brother arrogantly, but to your surprise, Nahzgor replies with an uncharacteristic humbleness that feels strange and unfamiliar.
" You don't need to worry, brother. I understand that this battle may be our last and I will ensure that my ego doesn't get in the way of our fight. We will do this together. "
Izael smiles as he holds out his arm towards Nahzgor and they give each other a forearm handshake before pulling each other close and patting each other on the back.
" What about Verzo? He's the leader of their little trio and I'm sure fighting him will be no easy feat as well. "
Reylesh asks before Aatu turns around and answers her.
" Leave him to me. His incantations are powerful enough to erase anything and everything he wants, but my powers combined with Abbadon's should give me an edge. With all three of The None's Exemplars occupied, we should be able to give Abbadon an opportunity to take on his brother one-on-one. "
Aatu then diverts his attention to you.
" This may be the last time you see us again, Abbadon. Is there anything you'd like to say to us before I take us where we need to be? "
You immediately divert your attention to Mimi who's standing next to you, and you ask Aatu a question.
" What about Mimi? Is she going to be safe? "
Faerah looks at you with adoringly as she answers your question, admiring the fact that you care about Mimi the way you do.
" My faeries will take her to Havnahm where she can be with her parents until these fights are over. Since my faeries don't have a physical form and they're more like spirits, they'll be able to take her there using their allurement without us having to use a portal. "
Hearing this, you get down on one knee in front of Mimi and pause before speaking to her at her eye level.
" Mimi… "
Mimi looks at you with a hesitant smile as she talks to you.
" It's okay, Star Faller… I'll be waiting for you with Mama and Papa after your fight is over. When you come back to see us, you can teach me to be super strong so I can help people just like you do. "
You think about what your father said about you potentially not surviving the encounter with Uphedis, and the thought of you not coming back to Mimi makes your eyes water. Still, you choke back the tears as you respond to her, knowing that these words spoken to her may be your last.
" Yeah… I'll teach you whatever you want to learn after this is all over… Thank you Mimi, for sticking with me through all of this. You have a heart of gold and I'm so very happy that I was able to share this adventure with you. I'm sure your parents are going to be blown away with all of the stories you'll tell them about everything that's happened… "
Mimi steps forward and gives you a hug before responding with gratitude.
" No, Star Faller, thank you for saving me. "
Tears begin running down your face as you hold Mimi close to you with your head on her shoulder, and once Mimi steps back and you stand back up, you think of one last thing.
" Mimi, here… I have a gift for you. "
You say as you pull The Holy Omniverse Transcript out of your robes and open it gently. The pages softly turn as if they're blowing in the wind as you begin to materialize a Rosium katana with the book before closing it and holding the sword out to Mimi for her to take.
Mimi is awestruck with the gift that you just made for her and she looks at it in her small hands with disbelief.
" Woah… "
She says before she looks up at you.
" It's made of Rosium. The edge is sharp enough to split an atom and you should never have to sharpen it because I am the only person who's able to manipulate the material. You can use it to help people when you're older and you're able to fight. "
Mimi immediately hugs you again tightly, burying her face in your stomach while holding the sword in her hand.
" Thank you so much… "
She says before you notice that all of the Gods standing around you are looking at you and Mimi with a heartfelt glint in their eyes. Aatu then asks you a question after Mimi's done hugging you.
" Are you ready for this fight, Abbadon? "
You take a deep breath and wipe the tears from your eyes as you look back at him with a determined glare and answer.
" Ready as I'll ever be… "
