Chapter 84 - Father

Your heart is immediately invigorated and cosmic green shockwaves of your raw power begin to explode from your body as you slowly start to pull the ring off of your finger, continuing to move through the telekinetic bonds that are trying to immobilize you. Uphedis, seeing that he's lost control of this situation and he can't restrain you anymore, drops Roary onto the ground and blitzes you in the blink of an eye to stop you from removing the ring from your finger, but those same green shockwaves of raw power that once pushed back The One burn his skin and knock him backwards onto the ground, causing him to grab the ground and anchor his hands and feet to stop himself from tumbling away.

The cosmic shockwaves continue to explode outwards, pushing Valanyah off and away from Reylesh and causing the other two Valghuli Exemplars to flinch until the ring finally comes off and you hold it in your hand. The moment you take the ring off, your wings of raw power and energy violently explode out of your back just like they did the night that you lost Rosie. You scream as the aura of energy flows out of your back and distorts the fabric of reality around you once again, and the Valghuli Exemplars all shield their faces as you throw the ring onto the ground, shattering it in a cosmic explosion that overwhelms all senses, blowing a hole into the Omniverse itself.

Out of this explosion, you immediately see Aatu materialize in the air with his arms held outwards and an aura of your green Omniversal power enveloping what appears to be his new physical form. Through the madness and the struggle of keeping your physical form intact, you're captivated by the magnificence of Aatu's new form; and just by looking at him, you can feel his immense power and godly presence overwhelming you just like when you met The One in The Light.

Aatu floats above Uphedis, looking down at him with animosity as The Holy Omniverse Transcript suddenly appears floating in the air in front of him and clicks unlocked, immediately opening up with the pages turning rapidly. Uphedis stands up and looks up at Aatu with a cold stare, touching his chest where The Holy Omniverse Transcript was stored inside Tom's robes and realizing that it's not there anymore.

" By the will of My Father and through the Omniversal power that Abbadon has bestowed upon me; I use this Transcript to command thee begone, foul unbeing. "

Aatu says before the physical forms of the three Valghuli Exemplars and Uphedis all instantly vanish before they can retaliate. Seeing that you're still straining as your wings continue to flow out of your body and you're on the verge of breaking, Aatu holds his hand outwards towards you with a calm gaze and speaks to you softly.

" You've done well, Abbadon. You can rest now… "

Everything instantly fades to black as you go unconscious, falling down onto the floor and entering a state within your mind that you feel has been locked away from you up until this point.

You find yourself standing in the middle of a beautiful cosmic green ocean on a dock that stretches infinitely outwards in two opposite directions. The atmosphere is peaceful as the waves gently brush up against the base of the dock and you look down over the edge to see an overabundance of multiverses below you at an infinite depth. Then you look up at the sky and notice that it's an amalgamation of Darkness and Light that swirls and twists a mixture of black and white patterns. You close your eyes and feel a gentle breeze on your skin, taking in this serenity while you breathe slowly and deeply before you hear a voice of a man speak right next to you.

" It's beautiful, isn't it? "

You open your eyes and look at where the voice came from to see an older gentleman sitting on the edge of the dock next to you with his feet dipped in the cosmic water. You feel an unexplainable familiarity about him and he looks up at you with gentle glowing green eyes before speaking to you again.

" The Holy Omniverse… everything that does and doesn't exist right here below our feet… come… sit with me, my son. "

You stare at the man in disbelief as you sit down next to him, putting your feet in the water as well and looking down. Struggling to cope with the fact that you're sitting right next to who you think you are, you speak to the man in a choked up and nervous demeanor.

" Dad? "

The man gently nods and diverts his attention back towards the water below as he talks to you.

" You've come a long way, Abbadon. "

Holy shit. The Absolute is sitting right next to you. It's your father. It's really him.

Your eyes begin to water as you think of everything that's happened so far and you impulsively question him, struggling to keep your emotional composure.

" W- why? "

The Absolute remains silent as he listens to you break down and cry sitting next to him, upset and speaking in an emotional tone.

" Where were you…? Why didn't you help us…? You could've saved Ariel and Rosie… You could've stopped Uphedis and saved Tom… All of this fighting… All of this suffering… All of this death… You could've stopped it all and we could've lived happily ever after… Your power is Absolute, isn't it?! Why weren't you there for us when we needed you!? "

The Absolute remains calm, looking down at the water while you sob with tears running down your face. The thoughts of your dead family and brother weighs heavily on your heart as you cry next to him, and after a brief moment of silence, The Absolute responds.

" Because Uphedis was right. "

You immediately look over at your father in shock, feeling betrayed as you think about what he just said. Uphedis was right? What does he mean Uphedis was right? How could he choose the side of the son that betrayed the others?

" I never chose his side, Abbadon. "

The Absolute says, immediately knowing what you're thinking.

" I said that Uphedis was right… He was right about existence and the suffering that it brings… To exist is to acknowledge that things cannot last forever, because if they did, then they wouldn't have any meaning.

Everything that exists does so in a state of duality. Just like the Light and Darkness that make up everything within The Holy Omniverse, everything in existence has both a positive and negative aspect. Both sides are connected and they directly affect each other, and to remove one side would be to remove the other's meaningfulness.

Take your family for example. Ariel and Rosie meant everything to you and their existence fulfilled you. However, because they were special to you and they brought you so much joy, it opened the door to a level of grief and suffering that you hadn't ever felt before. The joy that they brought you and the grief of you losing them were connected in a state of duality that both affected you proportionately to one another. The more you loved them, the harder it was going to be for you when you lost them. For you to not grieve them would mean that you wouldn't have loved them in the first place. After all, grief is what you feel when you have love for someone and you cannot give it to them… This is the truth of existence and why Uphedis believes that everything should be undone. It's Uphedis's belief that this dynamic is cruel, and it would be better to not exist at all rather than to be forced to face the duality that attaches suffering with joy.

Yes. My power is Absolute. There is no being existent or non-existent that can defy me. If I were to choose a side between The One and my son, Uphedis, then the eternal conflict would be over in an instant. However, in my Absolute knowledge and wisdom, I have acknowledged that if I were to use my power to my own ends, it would result in robbing the beings beneath me of purpose. The choice that I have made is to give all beings and unbeings the free will to pursue their own meaning and to do whatever they believe is right. For what point would there be to pursue anything if I ultimately made each decision for those who are below me or prevented particular outcomes as a result of their actions? It is because my power is Absolute that I abstain from intervention, even if doing so means my children would suffer, because suffering is a fundamental part of existence.

You must understand, Abbadon. It is because I love you and care for you as my son that I have allowed these hardships to happen, and the same goes for Uphedis as well. The reason why I haven't helped to prevent these hardships of yours is the same exact reason why I haven't helped Uphedis in his pursuit to return The Holy Omniverse into nothingness. You are both my sons, and I refuse to rob either of you of your free will to pursue meaning and purpose. "

The tears begin to dry on your face as you settle down and ask your father more questions.

" Then why are you here? What's the purpose of us being here together? "

" I'm here to deliver closure, as you may not live to speak to me after your confrontation with Uphedis. You and Uphedis are my last remaining sons. He was my first born and you are my last. His power comes from the mind and your power comes from the heart. A duality, once again, and your fates were intertwined since the moment you were born. Uphedis was always an analytical schemer, doing whatever he deemed necessary to fight for what he believed was right regardless of how it affected others; but it was you who understood the value of Love, Abbadon. I embedded my Absolute Power deep inside your heart because the heart is what gives meaning to a meaningless existence, and that's something that Uphedis could never understand. "

The Absolute stands up and looks down at you with gentle eyes.

" I'm so very proud of you, my son. Just know that whatever may happen in the coming confrontation, you will both have the free will to pursue the outcome that you deem is best. Existence lies in your hands the same way it lies in his, Abbadon. I bid you farewell. "
