John looked around examining his new house. He did not want to move but since he's still a 13 year old kid and his parents are the grown ups, until he turns 18 he does not have much of a say in where he lives. John sat on the stairs of the second floor and barried his face in his hands in frustration. . "Ugh, why is this happening..." "why the long face" asked John's mother while opening the boxes and moving stuff. John then takes his face out of his hands and groans and annoyance "I just don't get why we had to move, our previous house was fine, the neighborhood was great, my friends were there, my school was there, everything I know was there! why did we have to move!?" "Because John your father's work is here, in order for your father to keep having a job we moved! Come on John stop moping, some change can do you some good, this is the first time you've ever been in a different neighborhood so I get why it's hard but at least try to be a bit open minded." John just groans and walks to the kitchen. He opens the fridge in search of food "why is there nothing to eat here??" "Maybe because we just moved??" Said Clair while holding a box and placing it on the counter "rather than moping around why don't you help a little??" Said Clair her hands on her hips. "Why don't you mind your own business??" Answered John ignoring her. Clair squinted her eyes "we are not here for you, we are here for dad and to be here to support him! Here take this!!" She took the box and shoved it at him "why don't you be at least a little helpful and take this box to the attic? Or can you not even do that??" She started walking away then stopped and turned back "oh and don't even think of throwing this on Vendel." She then went to keep helping her mom with the boxes. "Damn it, that little...ugh whatever...where is this attic..." John looks around the house until he finds the attic. He finally sees a hatch in the ceiling and he uses a metal stick to open it, a bunch of dust filled the room John coughed a little and waved his hand, junky looking stairs dropped and he climbed up. The attic was very old and poor looking, "uughh..." He put the box somewhere but he then sees a piece of paper, curious and bored, he reads it, "if you choose to sign this paper, you will get a prize" there were other signatures on the paper too "must've been the previous owner of this house I guess... Oh well, got nothing else to do," he signed the paper and climbed his way down "hah, maybe the prize will be going back to the old neighborhood, a guy can wish I guess..." John went into his room, that happens to still be undergoing maintenance. He grabbed a mattress he found, took a random pillow and went to sleep.
