Chapter 36 - Who Are You

Evangeline stood before the full-length mirror as she adjusted the soft folds of the powder blue dress she was given.

It was stunning to say the least.

The fabric clung to her curves in all the right places, cinching at the waist before flowing down to cascade elegantly to the floor. It was delicate and undeniably highly feminine, it the kind of dress that belonged on someone far more put-together than she felt at the moment.

Her silver hair had been left to tumble down her back in bouncy waves, matching beautifully with the pale blue of her gown.

She looked ethereal.

This isn't me.

Or rather, it wasn't the girl she had once been.

Evangeline had not seen her own reflection in so long that the face staring back at her felt unfamiliar.

Her skin was pristine and had a glow that seemed to come from within.
