"Okay" came the reply of the king
I will consider your request since she don't plan on apologizing?it was supposed to be a statement but it sounded more like a question.
Astrid kept a straight face even when they were speaking of her like a commodity, And neither was she willing to retreat.
The queen gave a signal to the Knights"cease her" came the queen's command, they looked at the king for approval but he didn't move a finger, they took the king's silence as approval and approached the princess slowly
Astrid gripped her sword tight she always has the habit of carrying her sword everywhere she went since she always dressed casually
She unsheathed her sword and pointed it to the approaching Knights "if you still care for your life you can as well also back off" came her deadly voice,they hesitated because everyone knew how the princess is once she is angry, and by the look on her face they knew she was dead serious
" What are you hesitating for, cease her now"the queen roared
"Back off" Astrid said, she made to move positioning herself to attack
"Enough" the king roared clutching his chest bringing an end to all the movement in the courtroom as everyone in the courtroom ran to the king except Astrid who stood rooted in the same spot, she was well aware that her father always had a heart attack when angry but it rarely happens except he was very angry
Her legs made to move but she decided against it, she knew the queen well enough for her to act rationally if she show a single expression of concern for anybody she will go to great lengths to destroy that person even if it means killing her own husband, it's bad enough she involved seraphina in this mess whom the queen now hated more than her
You will leave for the border in five days, and you are not expected to set foot in the palace until the war is over, the king commanded immediately the king finished speaking he left the courtroom as if it wasn't him who just had a heart attack followed immediately by the queen after throwing a deadly glare at Astrid
Astrid stood there for almost half an hour without making a movement,she didn't even shake a finger her knights stared worriedly at her, the last time she was this angry it was a nightmare to them,
Who knows what she would do this time,Liam one of the princess knight thought as he sighed, only God could help them in this situation,he concluded
