Synopsis
Detective Alexander is hailed as a prodigy—a young investigator whose genius mind has cracked some of the city's most complex and chilling cases. But behind the acclaim and cold, calculating demeanor lies a fractured soul, haunted by a past he has buried deep. Alexander hasn’t smiled in years, and when a reporter questions him about his apparent joyless existence, it forces him to confront the source of his despair. What he uncovers is a seething hatred for the bullies who tormented him during high school—privileged elites who committed unspeakable acts, shielded by their wealth and status. Alexander realizes that his missing happiness, his very sense of self, was stolen by them. Driven by an unrelenting desire for retribution, Alexander stages his own death, crafting a new identity that will allow him to infiltrate the lives of those who wronged him. In his first mission of vengeance, Alexander targets Damien Roth, the spoiled son of a powerful German tycoon whose past crimes have gone unpunished. As Alexander manipulates his way into Damien’s family, weaving a web of lies and psychological traps, he dismantles the lives of those who stand in his way—innocent or guilty alike. But as Alexander spirals deeper into his crusade for vengeance, a brilliant detective begins to piece together the threads of his crimes. With every calculated move, Alexander must stay one step ahead, all while wrestling with the question: Will regaining his stolen happiness be worth the cost of his humanity?

Chapter 1 - Detective Alexander

{Omni pov}

The new reports play, as a woman with short brown hair and brown eyes says on the reports "Good evening, today I am informing you about the missing children cases of New York. There have been multiple reported cases of the children missing in the neighborhood of New York, the police are investigating these cases and have so far only collected a picture of the van used." The screen changed to show a van of black color with no number plate nor are the windows visible under the black paint.

"As we see, there is no remarkable feature to this van. There is no number plate nor is the outline of the kidnappers visible to the outside world, this highlights the incompetence of the police. How are people supposed to feel safe? This is what the Republicans have done to our country" Another man said as he was in front of the New York police station. The TV shuts off as we see an old man with wrinkles under his eyes wearing a high-level uniform, looking around the office to see a bunch of police officers trying their best.

"This is all we got, Is there anything else? Shame on us. How do you want to face the crowd with this minimal evidence at best?" He yelled at the police officers and threw a thin yellow file with the collected evidence. "Answer me, goddammit," He said looking at the police with fury. Then one man raised his hand, and the officer looked at the unremarkable man before him. The man stepped forward and said

"Sir, Alexander is still not here."

"Alexander?" The old officer asked this time another stepped forward with a uniform that suggested that she was in charge of the officer behind her and said

"He is the best detective we got, he solved around 25 Straightforward Cases, and 10 major cases. All within the first 3 weeks of him joining the force, this is his fourth month."

"Impressive. Call him immediately." The old officer said,

"He will not respond sir." She said, seeing the questioning gaze of the officer she elaborated "He has a very severe case of chronomania and won't appear before his given time of 8:00 pm."

The officer was visibly annoyed at this and yelled "Get me, Alexander, now". While this was going on, we sat on the other side in a high-up apartment in New York looking at the Empire State Building and all of New York. A man woke up from his slumber and started to walk to the bathroom. Due to the blurry vision, we are not able to tell who the man is but his room was filled with objects in some way or form related to time. As we look at the various Sand timers and and clocks scattered around the room we see a unique clock, one with a golden outer ring, filled with h intricate maze-like structure. The pocket watch has a crown of silver on top, the watch when opened showed a pitch black inside with the time being told in red on top of the watch.

As we look at the man who picked up the watch, standing at an imposing 6'2", his lean, athletic build is a testament to a life of discipline and meticulous planning. His jet-black hair is neatly styled, framing a pale, angular face that rarely betrays any emotion. Dark grey eyes, sharp and piercing, seem to dissect anyone who dares to meet his gaze, often leaving them unnerved. A faint scar beneath his left eye, leaving a touch of mystery to the person. He wears a long black trench coat with a white shirt, his police badge vested on the side of the coat proudly glinting in the sky. He walked downstairs from his apartment and went to the garage to see a white Lamborghini Aventador S.

We see that the man is driving his Lamborghini and goes to a McDonald's drive-through, the worker when seeing the man says "The usual order, Sir."

"Actually…" The man began with a cold voice

{Time skip}

The man went inside the police station and the officers in there looked at the man who came in. The senior officer said "Right on time, Alex"

"I know, Elizz." He said as he placed the order on his deck before saluting to the old man. The old man looked him up and down, after which he said

"They praised you so much yet you don't look like much."

"Almost all of the poisonous snakes are near impossible to look at" he responded to which the old man's eyes twitched. He then said

"Not only did you not respond to a call but also talked back to higher-ups. Do you not want this job?"

"Do you not want this case solved in the fastest way? I am pretty sure the Mayer sent you with that goal in mind." Alex said, with no change in his cold expression. Meanwhile,e everyone behind him started to sweat a little. Eliz immediately intervened on behalf of Al.ex.

"Sir, please allow me to handle him."

"Fine, just get the case solved. You have the entire afternoon" The old man said, this might be impossible for any other detective but not for Alex. He took the file and looked through the information given. All the victims were children but randomly picked from different locations, the van was painted in pitch black with a mix of different colors, the movement of the van was concealed and he knowingly moved through CCTV cameras that were broken…Wait how did they know which CCTV was broken?

He looked at the image of the position of the kidnapping to see an "S" shape. Although this may be a sign it may also be the kidnappers making sure to avoid all cameras... "I want the last recorded potage of the camera which is broken"

"Why?" Eliz asked surprised

"Because wherever the kidnapper went the cameras are broken this means that the cameras breaking were not an accident, the chances of all the cameras being broken exactly near the children's parks and also making a path towards it is not a coincidence," Alex said. Eliz and the police with understanding immediately jumped to action as they saw the faces of the people who broke the camera, they were arrested for petty crime and fined for damage to public property but now it may not be that hard to find them.

The police worked fast with this clue they were able to find the face of the mystery victim and they quickly detained the criminal and rescued the children. The chief officer after getting the good news looked at Alex with admiration, "Good job, Alex. I will make sure you get a good bonus on your salary" He said with pride in his voice.
