Chapter 3 - Her New Life

The Next Day*****

Aurora woke up from a soft and cozy wide bed she felt refreshed.

"Where am I?" She asked herself, disoriented after noticing she is in an unfamiliar place.

She noticed her clothes were replaced. Her former maid dress that was covered with the gross stench of eggs were no where to be found. She was now dressed in a nice yellow dress with a flower embroidery.

"What going on? Where is here? Was I captured?" Thoughts swarm through her head making her heart beat fast, she felt so scared that Lily sensed it.

"Are you feeling better," A female voice from the door caught her attention.

She looked at the source of the voice with her eyes filled with fear. It turned that it came from a beautiful girl with blood-red hair and brown eyes. Aurora quickly accessed her, her survival instinct was instantly activated and she moved back to the edge of the bed, but the other party didn't harbour ill intent toward her.

She had a friendly smile on her lips.

"Uhm," Aurora said with a slow nod.

"That good to hear, my name is Emily," Emily said as she walking close till she sits beside Aurora.

"What yours?" She asked.

"Aurora," Aurora replied with a low voice.

"That a nice name," Emily complimented.

"But what were you doing in the deep part of the bush? You were in a bad state and you were even covered in raw eggs?" Emily asked with a worried look.

Aurora opened her mouth to say something but stopped half way as if realising something. Humans don't know the existence of werewolves and they must never know that one of the great rules of all werewolf clan. Telling her what really happened would lead her to suspicion.

"What? You don't remember?" Emily asked.

"Yes, all I remember is my name," Aurora said with sad look. She knew lying to her helped was something bad but she couldn't tell her the truth as it would only make matter worst. Humans must not know about the existence of werewolves as that was among the 7 rules of the 7 packs of all werewolf packs.

"Do you remember you surname?" Emily asked.

"No, I only remember my first name," Aurora replied. This killed Emily though of using her name as an identity to find her family by reporting to the cops.

"Oh baby I am so sorry to hear that. Since you don't remember you can stay with me till you recover," Emily said.

"Really," Aurora asked with a glint of happiness in her eyes. At Last she find a place where she was accepted and not judge by her weakness.

"Yeah, I stay with a friend of mine, Ashly. Don't worry she is nice and easy going. Both of you will get along well," Emily said with an assuring smile.

*Grool* The grumbling sound of Aurora stomach gave an awful and embarrassment moment.

"Oh sorry, I forgot to ask you must be hungry. I will go and prepare a little meal now," Emily said as she rush out heading to the kitchen leaving Aurora alone.

Aurora came out to see it was a nice apartment. She looked perplexed to which path leads to the kitchen.

"I am home," A female voice said as the door suddenly open and a tired looking woman entered. She caught Aurora's attention.

"Who are you?" She asked with a guarded look.

"I am Aurora," Aurora said.

"How did you get in?" She questioned her gaze getting sharper.

"The other lady brought me," Aurora responded truthfully.

"Other Lady? You mean Emily?" She asked with her guard loosen.

"Yeah, she was the one who brought me," Aurora said.

"Hey, I heard your voice and immediately rushed back,"Emily said as she entered.

"How is work?" Emily asked when she noticed the awkward atmosphere.

"Who is she?" Ashley asked.

"Oh Ashley you met Aurora. I was doing my normal exercise running in the woods, that when I came across her. She was in a very poor condition and i took pity on her and brought her home. It turns out that she had lost her memory," Emily said with a pitiful tone.

"What? I didn't know and I almost mistook her for a burglar," Ashly said with an apologetic look.

"Wait, you mean she went through all that?" Ashly asked her gaze turning pitiful.

"It okay, I have forgotten about them," Aurora said with a sharp gaze. Her life of been a slave was over, she will do everything within her power to never return to her pitiful state.

"You are one strong woman, I like you and you can stay as long as you want," Ashly said as she hugged Aurora.

"In the mean time me and you would be buddies" Ashly said with a giggle.

"Ding," A noise came from the kitchen interrupting the girls moment.

"I will go and get that, and meanwhile you should shower go get rid of the eggs stench," Emily said.

"Ashly show her the way to bathroom," Emily said as she hurriedly left for the kitchen.

"Come with me," Ashly said as she lead Aurora to the a moderate size bathroom with a white bathtub in the center.

After Ashly left, Aurora entered the bathtub filling it with warm water. She picked the soap and a sponge on the shelf beside her and she started bathing.

She scrubbed the dirt on her body and when she was done she wore the black night gown which was already kept for her.

Aurora came back and found out that dinner was already served, it was a normal home made dinner.

*****Three days later******

"Aurora, is there a problem for you calling both of us. Is there something you would like to discuss?" Ashly asked as she sat on the sofa next to Aurora.

"It just that I have noticed you all cater for my expense, you go out to work for money and I feel guilty relying on you. What I want to say is that I would also like to get a job," Aurora said with a determined gaze. In the werewolf pack, houses and feeding was done by the Alpha, but in the huma world it was different. Everyone survive by working and earning money which is the medium of exchange here.

"Are you serious?" Emily asked with a suprise look.

"Yes," Aurora said with a determined look.

"Actually, I heard from a friend that there is a job opportunity in the king's hotel for the post of a bartender," Ashly said.

"Really, I can apply right," Aurora asked with a glint if joy in her eyes.

"Sure you can," Ashly said encouraging her.

"You don't have to feel pressured," Emily said.

"No, I actually want to work. And the post seems good," Aurora said.

"Okay, if that what you want. You can go ahead with it," Emily said as she finally agreed.

******The next day********

"This should be it right," Aurora said checking the pictures on her phone as she came down from the Uber.

Aurora walked towards the fancy. hotel.

She was lucky, after applying she was called the next day for an interview. Ashly and Emily had tought her almost everything she needs to know about the job.

"Please I came here for the job interview as a bartender," Aurora said to the security man at the door.

"Oh, okay. Follow me" He said as he showed Aurora the way to the interview department.

Aurora waited patiently together with some other people until a woman dressed professionally in a blue suit and shirk walked in.

"Are you miss Aurora?" She asked.

"Yes that me," Aurora replied politely.

"You are up next for the interview. Come with me," She said.

Aurora followed entering a room. She sat down opposite a woman who had a stern expression.

"I am Miss Claire, I would be interviewing you," Claire said scanning Kayla.

In the same hotel in a Luxurious furnished Office.

"Mr Lucas, here are the files about the companies progress since your absence," A beautiful woman said as she bropped a bunch of Giles on the desk.

"Okay," Lucas said not paying much attention to her.

"Would you mind taking a look or I should just verbally give you the statistics?" She asked.

"Amelia, I am kinda busy right now. I will check it later," Lucas said as he scroll through his phone.

"Okay sir," She said.

Lucas was occupied when he felt the familar scent.

"Mate," He muttered softly.

"She is here," Lucas thought as he stood up heading to the door.
