Chapter 1 - INTRODUCTION

Hi! My name is Lucinda also known as Lucy for short, before we continue please vote for this novel on the WSA 2025 Contest and also do well to support my story :). I have always dreamed of being a Pharmacist when I become older and my parents did well in supporting my dreams, so I was always engaged in extra school lessons to have a good standing in Science courses to be ahead of my peers.

After writing my Senior Secondary Certificate Examination and Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination in my second senior year (SS2) I got all papers except Mathematics and got a score of 189 in my UTME Exams which was a low score to get into my dream school and study my dream course but I was not discouraged. So my dad agreed that I undertake a supplementary exam which will support my first exam's result before that my Father introduced me to a man who he said will prepare me for the upcoming exams but he decided to use my Father as a leverage to solve his life problems asking for money for this and that, infact up till today I still resent that man but I believe one day one time karma will catch up with him. After writing the exams I then rewrote the UTME Exams and got a score of 200+ which enabled me to move on to the higher institution.

I got admission into the School I applied for which meant that I had to leave home to stay in the hostel away from my Parents, but before leaving I was already equipped with advice from my Parents and my Church which helped in guiding so as not to stray away from my purpose there coupled with stories of people who shared their journey through University. Honestly all higher institutions have a certain percentage of people who came steal, kill and destroy lives of people but it's left for you to choose the company to keep, because I knew where I was coming from and knew the implications of being misled I studied hard and avoided anything about relationships.

So that day I journeyed with my dad to my school for registration, other admission runs and my accomodation, after everything was settled I moved to my hostel which I shared with three other girls.

Two weeks has passed and I was now familiar with my faculty and lecture hall even though I had gotten lost a few times, funny thing I discovered I was the youngest student in my Year which most of my course mates didn't agree because my body proportion was like that of a twenty year old meanwhile I was just fifteen. I had also started reading so as not to be caught unaware by a lecturer unexpected test, things were going smoothly till I met Davis who was a 300-level student who made it a chore to torment me with his incessant proposal which I did not fail to turn down. Run along to support this novel to read more about me and get more tales of my experience.....

Here's an explanation of UTME, WAEC, and how students use both WAEC and NECO to enter universities for readers who don't understand :

# UTME

UTME stands for Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination. It's a standardized entrance examination conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) in Nigeria. The UTME is a requirement for admission into Nigerian universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education.

# WAEC

WAEC stands for West African Examinations Council. It's a regional examination body that conducts the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for students in West Africa, including Nigeria. The WAEC examination is a requirement for admission into Nigerian universities.

# NECO

NECO stands for National Examinations Council. It's a Nigerian examination body that conducts the Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) for students in Nigeria. NECO is an alternative to WAEC.

# Using Both WAEC and NECO for University Admission

In Nigeria, universities accept both WAEC and NECO results for admission. Some students may choose to take both examinations to increase their chances of admission. Here's how it works:

1. *Combining Results*: Students can combine their WAEC and NECO results to meet the admission requirements of their chosen university.

2. *Meeting Admission Requirements*: Universities typically require students to have a minimum of five credits in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics. Students can use their WAEC and NECO results to meet these requirements.

3. *Choosing the Best Results*: Students can choose to use the best results from either their WAEC or NECO examination, or a combination of both, to meet the admission requirements.

In summary, students can use both WAEC and NECO results to enter universities in Nigeria by combining their results, meeting admission requirements, and choosing the best results.
