Chapter 20 - Breaking the Chains

Chapter 20: "Breaking the Chains"

Under the sky illuminated by the radiance of the stars, Azar stood in the city that time had restored. The cries of the people echoed in the air, their faces filled with fear as if they were watching the future collapse before their eyes. He knew that the moment he was living now was just the beginning of a new game, but he was no longer the player. He had become something else... something greater.

Memories of the Past and the Future of the Present

As Azar walked through the bewildered crowds, flashes of the future he had lived before appeared before his eyes: his battles against the monsters, the pain he had endured, and the power of the nominal ruler that had forced him to submit to the rules of this cosmic game.

But Azar was no longer the same. The memories of twenty years of struggle hadn't vanished when time rewound. They were etched into his soul, and they had become his true power.

Meeting the Rebels

That night, as Azar was trying to understand his next move, a strange man approached him. He wore simple clothes, but his eyes were filled with knowledge and power. He whispered to him in a voice full of secrets:

"Azar... You are not the only one who remembers. We also remember."

Azar followed him to a hidden place underground, where dozens of people had gathered. They all shared the same appearance: quiet strength and a desire to break the system. One of them spoke:

"We've been part of this game for generations. The nominal ruler is nothing but a force trying to keep the universes under his control, and we are his tools. But you, Azar, are different. We've seen how you led humanity in the future. You are the key."

The Quest to Break the System

The plan began to take shape: the nominal ruler controlled the universes through a complex time system, resetting events whenever he wanted to manipulate them. But with Azar, who held the memories of the past and the power of experience, this system could be broken.

Azar decided that the first step was to confront one of the nominal ruler's agents. They knew that the ruler wouldn't appear personally, but he sent agents carrying part of his power to execute his will.

The First Confrontation

In an abandoned square beneath a sky ablaze with volcanic clouds, Azar and the resistance members confronted the first agent of the nominal ruler. The creature was beyond imagination, a fusion of pure energy and a shifting form.

Azar was not afraid. He knew this battle was the beginning of the end. He leaped toward the creature, using powers he had learned from his future memories. Every strike of his hand challenged the very laws of nature, and every move was meticulously planned.

Victory and the Message

After a fierce battle that lasted for hours, Azar managed to defeat the agent. But before it vanished, it left a cryptic message:

"Even if you break me, there are thousands more like me. But know this: the ruler is watching you now. You are no longer just a piece... you have become a threat."

As Azar looked at the remains of the fading creature, he felt something new. It wasn't just an ordinary victory; it was a declaration of a new war. Deep inside, he knew that the nominal ruler wouldn't allow him to move forward.

He raised his head toward the sky, where the stars slowly began to move, as if they were watching him. He spoke in a calm but defiant voice:

"If you are the nominal ruler, then I will be the ruler who cannot be defeated."
