Guillermo Keb: A Rising Lightweight Star
Meet José Guillermo Keb Canul, a young, talented Mexican boxer with a record of 12-0 (6 KOs). At just 20 years old, standing 5'7", Keb fights in the lightweight division and is currently ranked #83 on BoxRec and #11 in Mexico. Starting his professional career in 2022, he has exclusively fought in Mexico but is eager to expand his horizons and take on international challenges. Guillermo embodies the spirit of Mexican boxing and has big dreams for his future.

I had the privilege of sitting down with Guillermo Keb to learn more about his journey, inspirations, and plans for the future. Here's what he shared:
What can we expect from you in 2025?
"My international debut, my greatest effort to raise the flag, and to rise in the rankings to be among the best in the world in my division."
Who inspires you in boxing?
"My dad, Julio Cesar Chavez, Mike Tyson, Muhammad Ali, Vasyl Lomachenko, Manny Pacquiao, Juan Manuel Marquez, Roy Jones Jr., Óscar de la Hoya, and Finito López. I'm passionate about boxing and watch it almost daily. I admire many fighters—the list is very long."
Who is your dream opponent?
"Whoever holds the world championship. My dream is to become a world champion, so the fight of my dreams would be for the world title."
Will your next fight be in Mexico?
"No, it will be in the USA, in Miami, Florida."
How did you start boxing?
"My dad is a former world boxing champion (WBC). Watching him fight inspired me to become a boxer too."
How would it feel to fight in a big event?
"I would feel proud of myself, knowing that all the effort and dedication have been worth it. I'd be happy to represent my country and excited to get closer to fulfilling my dream."
What are your goals for 2025?
"To stay undefeated, win an international championship, and be ranked among the best in my division."
When is your next fight?
"In March at the PROBOX TV USA facilities in Miami, Florida. The exact date is yet to be confirmed."
Is there anyone specific you want to fight next?
"Not specifically, but I'm prepared for big challenges."
