The night before…
Alan can't get Mina out of his head.
The way she moved, the way she laughed, the way her long black hair cascaded down her back, and those light brown eyes that seemed to see right through him, even though he only got to have a good look at her for nothing more than ten seconds uninterrupted.
He is obsessed, and he knows it. He had seen her with her husband the night before, and it had only fueled his desire for her.
But Venice is a city full of beautiful women, and he was determined to find one that looked like Mina.
That's when he had spotted Sophie. She had been standing by the canal, her small pink lips curved into a smile as she watched the gondolas glide by. Her long black hair was pulled back into a loose bun, and her light brown eyes sparkled in the moonlight. She looked just like Mina, and Alan knew he had to have her.
