Erin got frustrated, gritting her teeth. Just then, Cian came towards her. "How can you get hurt again?" he said in frustration, not expecting a reply. He moved his hand forward and slowly touched her belly, not applying any pressure so as not to cause her pain.
Erin gazed at his eyes, which were now glowing. His gaze was fixed on her injury. 'His eyelashes are long, not to mention it's delicate features. His eyes are really enchanting.' As Cian slowly started to heal her wound, a faint golden light spread out in the dark night.
His face, under the moonlight, gave a unique glow to his silver hair. Erin was washed away in his beauty, gazing at him.
Suddenly,
Cian looked up; their eyes met. Seeing Erin looking at him, he smiled - enough to melt anyone's heart. "I know I'm beautiful."
Erin murmured, "I take back my thoughts."
Cian smiled. "You should admit my beauty."
"No comments," Erin replied.
Darcy interrupted, "I don't want to disturb you guys, but Your Highness, can you heal my subordinate too?"
"Oh!"
Cian after remembering other injured people he went to heal Tiera and the others.
Darcy asked Erin, "Are you fine, My Lady?" Erin nodded. "Almost. But if we had fought again, I would've lost." She looked down and clenched her fist.
'I have to become stronger.'
She thought about this. One blinking of eye would've eliminated her. She was overconfident towards her skills. Just after defeating some weaklings she thought she can fight a real battle.
"HA"
She went out a frustrated sigh. If not for Cian's help, she was crumbled by a ordinary person without any power.
'This is my second defeat today'
'I need to become stronger."
"Only then I would be able to finish my promise."
"What promise?"
After hearing that question she realised she had blurted something she shouldn't have.
Erin turned her head, indicating she had no interest in explaining.
"You don't wanna?" Darcy questioned.
He sighed. Looking at her in empathy,
"I don't know much about you My lady, but."
"I think you should stop accumulating everything in your heart."
"IT WON'T HELP YOU WITH ANYTHING."
".."
She had ignored his words. He smiled gently and continued,
"You remind me of someone,"
Erin raised her eyebrows slightly, taking interest.
Darcy said. "There was one person, who was also the same as you. Though he never showed it."
"?"
"Welp, he was aloof. Unable to understand any emotions. Doing all kinds of reckless things."
"He was hiding everything. Fear, anxiety, stress or pressure all this started to synthesize within him. To the point he confined himself, separating himself from everything."
"Both of your situations aren't really the same but you both experienced loneliness. Fear of getting hated."
"So what happened to him?"
"Mmmm.. something broke all the locks which was tied to him. Someone came on that darkness to help him move out. To help him find his light by becoming a light. That person without any expectations helped him, accepted him."
Erin gazed at him in awe. Every word Darcy spoke, she could apply to herself. Imagining herself in that person's place, confined in darkness till her light appeared. She was lost in her emotions, blurting out, "So now what happened to him?"
"He's fine now," Darcy replied.
"And his light?"
"It went on to guide someone else."
Erin looked down at her injuries, lost in thought.
Cian called out, "Darcy..."
He looked towards him, Cian was done with healing and was approaching him.
"Your highness?"
He said in a low tone.
"GET THE FUCK UP AND TELL ME WHAT TO DO WITH THOSE WITCHES NOW."
Darcy startled, coming back to his senses.
"Ahem... well."
"What revolution they were talking about?"
Erin questioned him from behind. She was still in daze but had the intention to focus on serious matters.
"It's just my theory," Darcy continued. "To understand all this I think we will need the assistance of the Principal."
"Why?" They both looked at him in surprise.
Cian raised his doubts
"What does this have to do with that old fart?"
Darcy explained, "This academy is a huge fan of the Witch tool." "Even though this academy is supposed to be on the Royal Family's side, its Principal isn't. No wonder a witch entered this test."
"This all is just my theory but it looks like Witches and this academy are trying to make a change."
"What change?"
Erin questioned. Darcy looked at her and shrugged.
"Only Carlos can answer this."
**
"Hah"
She dropped her sword down. Her delicate hands were covered with all scratches. She was tired with training, falling on the ground.
Irena, was gazing at the sky, remembering how Erin tied up with ser Estrid. After that incident she had been training continuosly without test.
"I just can't let her defeat me."
"I CAN'T."
She said, her tone wasn't of attitude it was of desperation of fear. Fear of losing against Erin.
She closed her eyes and recalled a past memory.
[ It was time when Irena was just around 7 years old, she while wandering around the castle, thought of meeting her father.
"Let's gooo."
She started hopping and running towards her father's private bedroom. Just when she reached their, she heard sound of something being broken.
She started to peek inside.
Her father had broken a photo frame of a certain person. His eyes were red, trying to burn the picture.
He said, "If not for you, Irena wouldn't have been like that."
"SHE WOULD'VE BEEN ABLE TO USE FOUR EYED POWER."
"BECAUSE OF YOU SHE LOST HER EVERYTHING, EVA WALKER."
"WHAT ...."
She murmured.
"Eva is her mother...."
Irena scratched her head, connecting everything.
"SO, I'M REALLY DUKE'S DAUGHTER BUT I CAN'T HAVE RAISIS BECAUSE OF DUCHESS...."
"BECAUSE OF SISTER ERIN'S MOTHER..."]
She rubbed her tears.
"I WON'T FORGIVE BOTH OF YOU."
