Chapter 41: Coordinated Strike

The situation shifted dramatically. With Mu Feng and Mu Kuang joining the fray, the odds had changed. Despite this, Mu Feng confidently stepped forward, a slight smile on his lips.

"We came to An Nan Ridge to hone our skills, and you're a fine grindstone for us. Leave this fight to my brother and me," he declared.

"What? You two plan to take him on alone? That's out of the question!" Zhao Chen exclaimed. "He's a mid-tier Purple Mansion cultivator at the sixth level! You two haven't even reached the Purple Mansion stage. This is madness!"

Xiao Ting added, "Yes! Don't act recklessly. He'll kill you both!"

Mu Feng waved off their concerns. "Don't worry. If we can't handle it, you can step in then."

Wang Liuping's face twisted in fury. "You insolent brat! Don't think that killing two of my men makes you special. I'll show you the difference between a Purple Mansion cultivator and a mere Meridian Unblocking novice."

"Difference? I only see a scoundrel who deserves death. The world loses nothing by ridding itself of someone like you," Mu Feng retorted coldly.

"Fine! I'll take your heads to avenge my men!" Wang Liuping roared, launching himself forward with a burst of Yuan energy, his sword aimed straight at Mu Feng's throat.

Tactical Precision

Mu Feng and Mu Kuang moved with practiced ease, splitting to either side. Mu Feng raised his sword, meeting Wang Liuping's thrust head-on. The impact sent sparks flying, forcing Mu Feng to retreat two steps. Undeterred, Wang Liuping followed up with a quick stab toward Mu Feng's abdomen.

Mu Feng twisted to avoid the strike, parrying the blade away. Meanwhile, Mu Kuang seized the opening, his sword arcing toward Wang Liuping with a forceful blow.

Clang!

The sound reverberated as Wang Liuping blocked Mu Kuang's strike. However, the sheer strength behind the blow forced him back two steps, his arms tingling from the impact.

"Slash!" Mu Feng shouted as he brought his sword down in a powerful overhead swing. Wang Liuping countered by releasing a golden Yuan energy palm strike, colliding with Mu Feng's blade mid-air.

Boom!

The shockwave knocked Mu Feng back several paces, but before Wang Liuping could capitalize, Mu Kuang lunged forward again, forcing him onto the defensive.

The three fighters moved like a whirlwind, their weapons clashing in rapid succession. Wang Liuping, wielding his superior cultivation, relied on his Yuan energy to maintain distance and fend off the brothers' relentless attacks.

Observers' Awe

From the sidelines, Zhao Chen and his companions watched in amazement.

"Zhao Chen, who are these kids? Their strength is far beyond what's expected of Meridian Unblocking cultivators," Xiao Ting asked, her eyes wide with disbelief.

"They must come from some influential martial family," Zhao Chen replied, his eyes narrowing. "Look at the one wielding the sword. His movements are precise, his strikes filled with killing intent. He's no pampered noble—he's clearly experienced real battles."

"That sword," said Da Hu, frowning. "It looks familiar. Isn't that Ma Quan's weapon?"

The group fell silent, grappling with the possibility that these youths had bested someone of Ma Quan's caliber. Meanwhile, the fight continued.

A Dangerous Move

Wang Liuping realized that the brothers were wearing him down. "I can't let this drag on," he thought, gritting his teeth. Summoning the majority of his remaining Yuan energy, he prepared a decisive strike.

"Sky Star Sword Technique!" he roared, unleashing a barrage of golden sword energy. Over a dozen streaks of light shot toward Mu Feng and Mu Kuang with terrifying speed.

"Fall back!" Mu Feng shouted, leaping to avoid the attack. Even with his agility, several streaks of sword energy came dangerously close. One grazed his cheek, another his abdomen, narrowly missing vital points.

Mu Kuang wasn't as fortunate. Two streaks of energy struck him—one in the chest and another in the leg. Blood sprayed as he staggered, barely managing to stay upright.

Wang Liuping saw his chance. He lunged at Mu Feng, his blade poised to deliver a killing blow. Mu Feng, still recovering from his evasive maneuvers, struggled to block.

"Die!" Wang Liuping snarled, his sword flashing toward Mu Feng's head.

"Brother!" Mu Kuang roared. Summoning his last reserves of strength, he charged like a bull, crashing into Wang Liuping with the force of a battering ram.

Crash!

The impact sent Wang Liuping flying, though he quickly regained his footing. He glared at Mu Kuang, disbelief in his eyes. "You're still standing after taking two direct hits?" he muttered. "What kind of monster are you?"

The Final Blow

Taking advantage of the distraction, Mu Feng launched his counterattack. "Raging Storm Blade Technique!" he shouted. Spinning mid-air, he delivered a flurry of rapid, devastating strikes.

Wang Liuping, caught off guard, was forced to parry furiously. The relentless assault drained his stamina, his grip faltering with each blow.

Clang! Clang! Clang!

Finally, Mu Feng's sword struck with enough force to disarm him. Wang Liuping's weapon flew from his hands, leaving him defenseless.

"Scum like you doesn't deserve mercy. Die!" Mu Feng bellowed, his blade descending in a final, decisive arc.

"No…!" Wang Liuping's eyes widened in terror as the sword cleaved through his skull, splitting his head in two.

His lifeless body crumpled to the ground, blood pooling beneath it. Mu Feng stood over him, his sword dripping crimson.

Aftermath

The remaining two members of the Yellow Tiger Gang stared in horror. "He… he killed Wang Liuping!" one stammered.

"Run!" the other screamed, turning to flee. Their panicked cries faded as they disappeared into the forest.

Mu Feng wiped the blood from his blade, his expression unreadable. Mu Kuang limped to his side, wincing but grinning.

"You did it, brother," Mu Kuang said, his voice tinged with pride.

Mu Feng nodded, his gaze distant. "It's not over yet. There's still much to do."
