In the lush green plain wind brushes against the green grass and the many colored flowers. On top of a steep hill on the green plain lies a small wooden cabin. A boy opens the door of the cabin and runs out with a big warm smile on his face. He has scarlet eyes with black hair. An old man with blonde hair and a small beard grabs the boy by the collar and pulls him up "Hey, where do you think you are going Ryo" he says with a grumpy expression on his face. Ryo pouts trying to punch and kick the bearded man "I want to go to the village dad let me leave let me leave please". The bearded man punches the kid on the gut knocking Ryo out. The bearded man throws Ryo into the cabin with an emotionless face. The bearded man sighs and goes inside the cabin closing the door behind him.

 After some time Ryo wakes up he touches his stomach with upset expression "Ahhhh my stomach hurts so badly". He winces in pain. Ryo hears a knock on the door. He looks to the door. The bearded man comes and opens the door. At the other side of the door He sees a young woman with black hair and a wholesome but worried smile on her face. She wore a maid outfit. She was holding the hand of a young girl who was about Ryo's age. She had golden blonde hair and a beautiful shining face. she was like a shining star. Her eyes were blue like the ocean. Her face expressed confusion. The young women spoke with a quiet and gentle voice "Mr.Yasuki I am Hana I am from the nearby village and this is my daughter Rin. We saw that poster you put asking for a maid. We are struggling with money so my daughter can work here. I hope you agree". Yasuki replies with a smile "Oh ok. Come in Rin". Rin hesitates to enter but she enters knowing the situation that she and her mother is in. Hana's eyes are filled with tears she leans down to her daughter and hugs her "Sorry dear I am so sorry". Hana is quite surprised but she smiles and hugs her mother back. "Don't worry mom its fine I know you didn't want this". Rin comes into the house the door closing behind her. She looks around and finally notices Ryo, appearing quite surprised to see a boy her age. Yasuki speaks in a cold voice, "Go clean the entire house." "O-Okay, Master," Rin responds, her voice trembling as she is clearly intimidated by Yasuki. She walks away, trying to find a broom in the cabin. Yasuki then turns to Ryo, who is still preoccupied with thoughts of Rin. With an angry, commanding tone, he says, "Go train, Ryo." Ryo quickly nods and rushes out through the back door.

 At night Ryo sits on his chair drinking his hot soup with a wooden spoon. Yasuki sits across him and Rin sits on the ground. The atmosphere is cold and quite. Ryo looks at Rin he thinks to himself "How is she able to sit on the ground like it's nothing it's already so cold sitting on this chair but she is unfazed sitting on the ground". He changes his gaze looking at his Yasuki. Yasuki looks like he doesn't care that he is allowing a 10 year old girl to sit on the ground. Ryo doesn't say anything even if he wanted. He fears his father knowing it's not a good idea to fight with him. After finishing his soup he goes to his room and lies down on his bed. Curling up against his bed sheet. He feels sad for Rin. He doesn't understand why probably just sympathy that someone his age is having live like this when he himself is living with such a comfortable life even considering his father's gruesome training.

 Minutes turn into hours Ryo isn't able to sleep still thinking about Rin. He shifts and turns in his bed. Finally he gets off his bed and exists his room. He wanders around the cabinet. Finding Rin sleeping on the ground without even a blanket. Her body trembling under the cold atmosphere. Ryo shakes her body and wakes her up. Rin slowly stirs awake rubbing her eyes and yawning she is surprised to see Ryo "Did I wake up late master". Ryo smiles "No, No its nowhere close to morning". "Then why did you wake me up Master? Do you need anything?". "No I don't need anything Rin. I just felt sad for you the fact that you are sleeping on the ground while I am sleeping on my comfortable bed". Rin listens to what Ryo has to say and smiles "Oh it's no matter I am perfectly fine sleeping on the ground it's no big deal". Ryo denies not taking anything that Rin is saying "No you are not going to sleep on the ground you can sleep on my bed. Rin gasps in surprise to Ryo's offer "No I can't do that I am just a maid I can't sleep on your bed then where will you sleep". "I will sleep on the ground". "No, master you can't sleep on the ground". Ryo sighs and looks down then he looks back to Rin "I am your master righ". Rin nods. "Then I order you to sleep on my bed". Rin nods understanding that Ryo is too stubborn to agree to her. Rin gets up from the ground and goes to Ryo's bed and lies down. Rin shifts and turns trying getting comfortable on the bed. Ryo lies down on the ground. "Master isn't it hard for someone like you to sleep on the ground" Rin asks clearly not understanding why Ryo is doing this. "No it's fine not a big deal". Rin moves to the side of the bed and looks down to Ryo "What you are rich you are the son of the one of the 10 greatest Necromanzers in the world" Ryo smiles and closes his eyes "Just because I call him father doesn't mean he is my father". "What do you mean he is not your father" Rin asks curiously. "I am his step son not his biological son. Do you think a women would want to be with an asshole like him". Rin is quite surprised to hear this revelation from Ryo as she and all the villagers had believed that Ryo was Yusaki's own son. "Before he found me in that graveyard on that faithful night I have slept plenty on the ground so it's completely ok for me". Rin looks up to the ceiling "Ok master but that doesn't mean I like the fact that you are sleeping on the ground". "Hey cut it out. Its getting stale don't call me master just call me Ryo that's way better". "Oh ok" Ryo yawns "so now I am feeling sleepy huh. Guess I wasn't invited to the realm of dreams before helping you. "Goodnight Rin". Rin smiles "Goodnight Ryo".

 The gorgeous golden beams of the sun sparkle through the white window of the cabin and onto the face of Rin and Ryo. Rin blinks and wakes up suddenly. She gets off the bed and looks at Ryo a small smile tugging at the corner of her lips. She drags Ryo onto bed. "Now master won't even know I was in this room". She runs out of the room and gets to work.

 After a while Ryo wakes up and rubs his eyes "Why am I on the bed I swear I was on the ground" He looks out of the wind. His eyes widen with surprise "I AM LATE". He runs out of the cabin and looks around spotting Yusaki in the distance standing besides the red and blue flowers holding his red hilted sword in his left arm adnd a wooden sword in his right. Ryo runs to him "I am sorry dad I am so sorry". Yusaki hits Ryo on the head using the wooden sword. He yells "IF YOU DON'T TRAIN PROPERLY YOU ARE GOING TO DIE YOU FOOL YOU WILL BE A FAILURE". Yusaki hits Ryo on the shoulder with the wooden sword. Ryo whines with pain and gets on his knees. Yusaki scoffs at Ryo. "I was just distracted I am sorry just give me the sword dad". Yusaki throws him the sword. Ryo catches it and immediately swings it but Yusaki dodges backwards. Ryo doesn't stop attacking he tries to hit on Yusaki's shoulder which is blocked Yusaki counters and cuts Ryo on the shoulder. He swings his sword moving Yusaki's blade away from his shoulder. Yusaki takes this moment and kicks Ryo In the stomach. Ryo stumbles back in pain. He swings his sword but Yusaki parries and cuts Ryo on the stomach.

 Rin watches in awe at the intense training from a window of the cabin. Her blue eyes glowing bright as watches she is clearly impressed as to what is happening before her. As the training continues Ryo gains many wounds and Rin is concerned. She runs out of the cabin and to Ryo who is starting to bleed out due to his wounds. She goes near him. "U-h Ryo are you Ok". Ryo looks up at her. His face pale and breathless. Yusaki swings his sword his sword inches away from Rin's throat . Rin freezes from terror and fear. Ryo's eyes widens in surprise his eyes scarlet eyes turn blood red and he parry's Yusaki's sword. "WHAT ARE YOU THINKING YOU CAN'T JUST KILL HER SHE IS ONLY AS OLD AS ME. WHAT WILL YOU SAY TO HER MOTHER". He yells as his eyes turn scarlet again. Yusaki grins "You can go rest up now". Rin helps Ryo to get up and takes him inside the cabin.

 As they enter the cabin Ryo chokes up a little blood. Rin's face goes pale clearly intimidated by the blood in front of her. She looks towards Ryo who is leaning in for support. Ryo smiles comforting Rin "Don't worry it's just a little blood no big deal". Rin nods and takes Ryo to his bed and lays him down. "I will go get bandage for you". She quickly searches around the house and in a shelf finds bandage. She brings it back wasting no time. She quickly patches his wounds up. Ryo smiles as Rin finishes patching his wounds "Thank you Rin Thank you for the help". "Why are you saying that I can't let my friend just bleed out and die". Ryo chuckles amused by the fact that Rin thinks of him as a friend "So I am a friend huh I promise to be a good one then". "So you just rest up I will be around the house doing my other work just call me if you need anything". Ryo does a thumbs up "Ok Rin i promise to make good use of your kindness". Rin smiles before leaving the room. Ryo looks up to the wooden ceiling and thinks to himself "Why can't I just catch up why can't I beat him it has been 4 years since it started. The torture. The only way of escape is through killing him. But I just can't keep up he is too strong but why why is he so strong. Why,Why,WHY,WHY,WHY,WHYWHYWHYWHYWHYWWWWWWWWHHHHHHHHHHHYYYYYYYYY."

His eyes widen slightly in realization. The image of the red hilted sword flashing before his eyes. "Yes I know why I know why I can't beat him that power the only way to defeat him is through the use of that power. But, how do I get it? How? HOW? HOW? He turns around on the bed "I shouldn't be thinking about this now sometime later after my wounds have gotten right I am pretty sure there is some book or something about it in the attic. Wait the people with such abilities are called Necromazers so this ability is probably called Necromancy". He closes his eyes and sighs "I have to figure it out one day".

 A few days later Ryo's wounds have healed up completely and Yusaki is not home. Rin is cleaning up the table when someone pats her shoulder. Rin looks behind to see Ryo smiling at her "Need my help?" Rin nods. "Ok then". Ryo takes the towel from Rin and dips it in water. He starts cleaning up the table. "So, if you are going to clean the table I am going to sweep the floor". Ryo nods. Rin picks up the broom and starts sweeping the floor. "You know your training with your father seems brutal". Ryo chuckles "It's not actually true it's not that bad my body has adapted to it". Ryo takes Rin's hand "But your hand isn't it's full of injuries. You haven't worked like this ever before haven't you. Rin looks down to her hand with a gloomy face her deep blue eyes tearing up "Daddy did all the work but we have to do it now". Ryo looks at Rin's face clearly having an understanding of where this is going. He pats her head "Don't worry". Rin breaks into tears "I didn't want him to leave me I just wanted him to be with me". Ryo hugs her. Her eyes widens a little in surprise but she doesn't struggle she hugs him back "Don't think about what happened. Think about what will happen." She keeps sobbing for a little bit more before she rubs away her tears. She sniffs "I am ok Thank you for the support." She sighs before she returns to swipe the floor. Ryo also goes back to cleaning the table.

 After sometime they finish up the cleaning. Ryo stretches his arms and sighs "Man that was a drag". Rin nods. "Hey Rin what do you know about Necromanzers." Rin is taken aback by the question but still answers "Umm I don't know much actually. Mommy said they are really strong she said they are our protectors who protects us from all the monsters." Ryo growls "Bull they are not good people they are psychopaths". Rin looks down to the ground "sorry." She says with a sad voice. Ryo sighs "It's alright do you know anything about the abilities they use. "No." "Ok then." Ryo thinks frustrated at his incapability to find what the Necromanzers abilities are. Something clicks in his mind a grin appearing on his face "Found it. Rin come with me." Ryo grabs Rins hand and takes her to the kitchen. "What do you want to do Ryo tell me." He takes a ladder and goes back to the living room. He plays it down and climbs up to the attic. Rin follows Ryo and climbs up. When she reaches up Ryo is already searching through the many boxes in the attics. "What are you even looking for." " I am looking if there is anything about the abilities of Necromazers." As he moves the boxes he sees a dirty book with a purple cover and a ritual circle. He rubs some dust off the books. Ryo calls Rin "Hey found something." Rin runs to Ryo but stumble and falls on the ground. Rin gets up and comes closer to Ryo "What is it?" He opens the book "I think this is what will tell us about their abilities." He flips through the book "Here we go, so should I start looks big." Rin nods. Ryo starts

"The power of god encompasses strength and weakness. Those who consume the red stone of blood are both blessed and cursed by Him. This red stone known as the Phylosopher's stone, grants them a weapon that's capable of slaying the gods, along with a curse. They inherit one of the many divine abilities of God. This is known as Raphael." Ryo laughs "That's the worst it sucks." Rin also smiles "Yeah it is bad" Ryo checks the next page it's a map titled locations of Phylosopher mines till date. "I guess these red dotes imply the locations." He places his finger on a red dote "THIS IS NEAR, LET'S GOOO." Rin nods "Ok then." She stands up "I will go take some stuff as preparation." "Just take my wooden sword, food and a rope that's enough". Rin nods before going down. Ryo follows taking the book with him.

 After some time they take their bags and leave. They run through the green plain the wind caressing their skin. A rose flies through the air. Ryo grabs the flower and throws it away. It lands on Rin's face. Rin smells the flower a faint smile appearing on her face "Smells nice." She says as she tries to catch up with Ryo.

 They finally reach the cave the mouth of the cave looking like that of a tiger. Ryo looks back at Rin. "Let's go inside." Rin nods.

 They both go inside. As they walk through the cave they stumble back and forth. "Hey Rin can you give me that sword." Rin throws Ryo the sword . He takes the sword and swings it cutting down many rocks in their way. They walk through the cave when suddenly something pulls Ryo and Rin to the ground. They falls to somewhere else. Ryo stands up his body bruised and slightly injured. He looks around trying to spot Rin. He spots Rin who is completely knocked out and way more injured than him. He runs to her and sat near her. "Hey Rin wake up wake up." He takes her head onto his lap "Wake up Rin." He takes his back pack and checks through it finding a bottle of water. He takes a little bit of water and spills it on her face. She jumps awake "What the – What happened?" Ryo looks around "I don't know." His eyes widen. He runs to the wall of the cave a red crystal stuck in it. "Rin I think this is the Phylosopher stone." Ryo grins his scarlet eyes darkening a little "Now I can kill him." He breaks out of it his eyes going back to normal. He draws his sword cutting the crystal in half. "Rin do you, want to be a Necromanzer as well." "Actually I don't know I don't want to have a reason to be one." Ryo nods "Then I will eat it." He bites the red gem it's not hard it tastes bitter it doesn't make sense he expected something different. "Now I am supposed to get a weapon huh." Rin nods "Yeah." He tries to conjure something but nothing happens no weapon appears in his hand "What nothing happened. Rin you eat one. "Rin nods still thinking if she should go through with the plan. She takes the second piece and bites it "It tastes so much better than I expected." Suddenly Rin blacks out "What happened Rin."

 The air stirs back eyes peeking through the darkness of the cave. Ryo's eyes widen he gets into a defensive position holding out his wooden sword. An army of undead rise out of the darkness "Ahhh there are so many."

 Suddenly a cloaked figure jumps to the ground. It's Yusaki he has his red hilted blade conjured in his left arm. "You fool" Yusaki says as he glares at Ryo. "What have you done." Yusaki faces the legion of undead. He holds it up and it starts glowing red. He slashes sending many hurricanes through the air cutting down many of the undead. He runs to the undead cutting the ones that didn't die from the hurricanes. One grabs his arm but he elbows it breaking its neck. He cuts one of their head off and slashes cutting another one into two pieces. He jumps using the head of an undead. He slashes through each one without any hard work. He stabs another one. He swings the sword in a round direction cutting all the undead around him. Blood spilled all over his body. He turns around and looks at Ryo who is trembling. Suddenly he appears in front Ryo "You are a fool Ryo Rin will be no more she probably is dead already." "What What she can't be dead." He runs toward Rin's unconscious body. He touches her head. He takes it back "Ahhh it's burning hot." Yusaki sighs "Guess the kid isn't dead yet. She will suffer with a terrible illness and then die. The worst thing that happens when someone eats a Phylosopher stone and you are the one who is responsible for this Ryo you are the one who killed her." Yusaki glares at him. Ryo shakes his head sweating tirelessly. "No, No It can't be I didn't kill her I can't kill her." Tears stream through his face. Yusaki kicks Ryo he hits the wall behind him. "Can we take her to her Mother." Yusaki nods "Yes you can."

 They reach their house after delivering Rin to her mother. As they enter the cabin he is punched in the face by Yusaki. He is slashed by the wooden sword. Ryo falls to the ground. "WHY DID YOU GO TO THAT CAVE RYO? TELL ME YOU FOOL." "I wanted to defeat you thats why i went to that cave." "YOU COULD HAVE DIED IF HADN'T CAME REACHED THERE AT THE RIGHT TIME." Ryo fidgets still crying "i have to save her i have to." "YOU CAN'T SAVE HER SHE IS ALREADY HALF DEAD."

 He climbs to the attic. Searching through the many things in the attic. He searches through the many books finding more and more information about the Necromanzers. But not gaining the information that he needs. He takes a book with a blood red cover. He flips through it finding something important "To wield the power of Raphael, one must possess both talent and courage. Without both death awaits them. Those who lack talent but possess courage suffer a cruel fate an illness that will take them to their grave, a punishment from god for not having the talent. But those who contain both skill and courage are blessed with the godly powers of Raphael." "So she didn't have the talent?" He looks at his own hands "But I did I had the courage and talent. Wait what if I give her my blood or a body part she did eat the half of the Phylosopher stone that I did. Yes that's the plan." He goes down and takes a cup taking a knife he cuts his wrist spilling the blood onto the cup. After it fills a quarter of the cup he bandages his wound.

 He runs to Rin's place. The place is crowded from people. "There are so many people here." He Navigates his way through the crowd and finds the room with Rin. The moment he enters he feels a chill run down his spine. The tension thick in the room. He looks to the corner of the room spotting Rin's mother hugging her knees on the ground and sobbing. She finally notices Ryo. "You You are the reason why she is dying aren't you." Her eyes burning with anger. She grabs the knife from the table near her rushing forward to kill Ryo. Yusaki stops her grabbing her hand just before the knife reaches Ryu's eye. He begins to twist the women hand ready to break it. Ryo pushes Yusaki away "Don't even try Dad." He goes near Rin. Her body sweating terrifyingly. He puts the cup near her mouth and makes her drink the blood. As he feeds his blood to Rin He thinks "Please work please work I can't take the burden of killing a girl a friend it has to work it will work." A drop of his tear falls on the blood. As Rin takes the last sip it glows scarlet for a moment.

 Rin stirs awake her body temperature going down to the normal rate "Huh what happened." Ryo smiles "It's nothing." "Let's leave." Yusaki commands to Ryo with a cold voice. Ryo nods and they leave the house.
