Chapter 4 - Because of the blue hair

Liam leaned back casually in his car seat, looking out the window with a calm and relaxed expression. Next to him, Lei Ge and Hao Ge sat alert, as if they were shadows always ready to guard his safety. While Lily sat gracefully in front of him, fiddling with her cell phone from time to time.

"Jie, where's Shawn?" asked Liam suddenly, his tone casual but curious. He glanced around the car and noticed the absence of his new bodyguard.

Lily looked up briefly, her index finger pointing behind Liam. "He brought his own car," she replied with a slight smile.

Liam turned his head and stared at the car traveling behind them. A brand new luxury car, gleaming under the streetlights. He cursed to himself, "Damn, what a wasteful bodyguard. His gaze was full of criticism, but his face remained calm.

"Jie, didn't Lukas Ge choose the wrong bodyguard?" he asked again, trying to reassure her.

Lily gracefully and firmly turned to look at him. "I don't think so!" she said. Her voice was calm and firm.

"Lukas' friend Ge gave him the freedom to choose anyone suitable. And he recommended Shawn because he fits your criteria," Lily continued as she took a bottle of mineral water from the car's console. She spoke as she uncapped the bottle with a smooth motion.

"He has amazing abilities. Shawn has mastered several martial arts techniques and even the ability to deal with terrorists. He also has a good track record. You're not the first celebrity or important person he's escorted," she added, before taking an elegant sip of water.

Liam snorted in annoyance, then complained, "Aiyo, I'm not going to a war zone or being threatened by terrorists, Jie. I'm just being stalked." He shook his head slightly, his frustrated expression clearly visible. Lily just shrugged and decided not to answer.

Their journey continued until the car stopped in front of the hotel where Liam was staying. Without saying much, Liam got out and stepped inside, his body feeling heavy after the long journey from Beijing to Milan. Shawn's presence, which felt foreign to him, only added to the strain on his mind.

"Your room is next to Shawn's," Lily said as she handed a bottle of mineral water to Liam, who was taking off his shoes.

"Why is that? Where are Lei Ge and Hao Ge? Aren't they the ones who are always around my room?" Liam's voice was full of complaint as he looked at Lily.

Lily took a deep breath, her eyes looking at Liam patiently. "Lei and Hao are downstairs outwitting your reckless fans and stalkers," she replied calmly before walking away to answer a call on her cell phone.

Liam glanced at Lei Ge who was busy tidying up his things. He took off his jacket and asked, "Lei Ge, what do you think of Shawn?"

Lei Ge glanced at it for a moment, then casually replied, "Nothing special, boss. His voice was calm, as if he didn't really care. "He's just better looking than me," he continued with a small chuckle.

Liam snorted, feeling like the remark was an ego trip. Inwardly he grumbled, "Even better looking than me. Handsome or pretty? The thought flashed through his mind, bringing back memories of Shawn's perfect face.

"Eh, boss!" Lei Ge suddenly exclaimed, his tone full of astonishment. "Shawn's room is also a presidential suite, just like yours."

Liam was stunned and gave Lei a sharp look. "Wow, what an extravagant bodyguard," he said sarcastically.

"Not really, boss. It's a setup from his friend Lukas Ge, not from us or the organizers," Lei Ge explained in a flat tone as if trying to calm things down.

Liam crossed his arms, his expression unable to hide his growing curiosity. "High standards for a bodyguard. I'm really curious, Shawn Luo, what kind of person are you?" he muttered softly, almost as if talking to himself.

He took off his t-shirt and handed it to Lei Ge. "Lei Ge, can you look up information on Shawn?" he asked in a serious tone.

Lei Ge looked at him in surprise. During his time working with Liam, it was rare for his boss to show deep interest in anyone. Usually, Liam only cared about his career and work, not the people around him. Even his co-stars or fellow artists were never interested in him.

"Okay, boss! I'll ask Lukas Ge!" said Lei Ge confidently.

"Aiyo, not Lukas Ge." Liam tapped his forehead, feeling a little frustrated. "Find the information through other sources."

Lei Ge gave a small chuckle, then nodded. Although innocent at times, Lei and Hao were the two people she trusted the most, more than just bodyguards. They had protected him since the beginning of his dancing career.

The day ended peacefully. For the staff, used to Liam's personality, his complaints were just part of the routine. Though often annoying, Liam was still a pleasant person and not difficult to deal with, as long as they understood him.

The next day, Lily almost exploded with anxiety. They had to be at the Quadrilatero della Moda for the final fitting and dress rehearsal before the Fashion Week show that evening. However, all hell breaks loose when Liam, in a sudden decision, changes his hair color early in the morning.

"God, Liam!" Lily complained to herself, her fingers rubbing her temples in frustration.

The fear traveled up her neck and made her body feel stiff. In front of her, Liam stood leisurely in front of the large mirror, observing his blue hair, which now reflected a soft shimmer in the lamplight.

"What is it, Jie?" Liam finally asked, turning to his personal assistant who was staring at him unblinkingly. "Has something upset you today? Where are Lei Ge and Hao Ge?" His voice sounded light, as if nothing was wrong.

"They are ready to drop you off. Our schedule is tight today," Lily replied lazily, her tone starting to lose patience.

"Oh, then where are my new bodyguards?" Liam asked again, still with a casual expression that tested Lily's emotions even more.

"Of course he's already preparing with the others," Lily replied quickly, her voice now sharper than before. Her eyes pierced like an invisible thorn.

"So who are we waiting for?"

The question was the last straw that broke Lily's patience.

With a quick movement, she grabbed a nearby pillow and threw it at Liam. "We're waiting for you, Liam Wang!" she shouted in a high tone, her face flushed with anger.

Liam's laughter erupted, filling the room like the tinkling of bells on a quiet morning. "Sorry, Jie!" he said as he nimbly dodged the second throw of the pillow.

He picked up his cloak with a casual gesture, still with his mischievous smile that was hard not to resent. "Last night I dreamt that my appearance would be more perfect if my hair were dyed blue," he said confidently.

Lily could only take a long breath and try to calm down. Although her irritation had not subsided completely, she knew that Liam was indeed a difficult character to understand, let alone deal with. Despite all the chaos he often caused, the man was still a shining star.

At his young age, Liam has already achieved a lot in the entertainment world. As a singer, dancer, actor and model, he is the complete package. But what makes him even more special is his ability to maintain a clean image in the public spotlight. While many young stars are involved in scandals that destroy their careers, Liam has chosen a different path.

When not working, Liam spends time with his hobbies. Motorcycle racing, mountain climbing or vacationing in the great outdoors. He also sometimes retreats to secluded places away from the paparazzi. It's his way of staying sane amid the pressures of the entertainment world.

That morning, Liam walked confidently toward the basement of the hotel. His every step bounced off the marble floor, creating an echo that accompanied his entourage. Not once did he glance at the women who happened to cross his path. His behavior was often the subject of discussion between Lily and Lukas. "It's inconvenient," was Liam's answer every time he was asked.

"Where's Shawn Ge?" Liam asked suddenly as they pulled up to the Rolls Royce limousine waiting for him. His eyes swept around but he only saw Lei and Hao standing near the car.

"I'm here, Mr. Wang." Shawn's voice made Liam turn around.

The man was leaning against the back of the car, looking relaxed but still alert. In his latest long coat and casual suit, which Liam knew was from a luxurious and expensive brand, Shawn looked like a top model ready to walk the runway at fashion week.

Liam swallowed. Jeez, is he going to escort me or is he going to show at fashion week? He thought annoyed. Still, he couldn't deny that Shawn was absolutely gorgeous. His head of black hair was pulled back haphazardly, but it gave his an alluringly relaxed vibe.
