I was on my way to college when, suddenly, a truck hit me.
"I don't want to die!"
[Acquired Unique Skill: 'Undying']
"If only humans were stronger—"
[Evolving Unique Skill: 'Undying' to Ultimate Skill: 'Undying Legacy']
"What are these sound—?"
Before I could finish, I lost consciousness. When I woke up, all I could see was a dark cave and a small, dark-green-skinned creature.
"Am I... reborn?"
I couldn't move my body, and my mind felt eerily calm and numb.
I lost consciousness again several times since that day, but each time I woke up, I gained a better understanding of this strange new place. It appeared to be a goblin cave, and I had somehow become one myself. Yet, none of this amazed me as much as the "Status Window" I could now see.

When I focused on the skill, more information appeared:
[Undying Legacy (Ultimate): Revives the user after any kind of death, either instantly or automatically after 10 seconds. Each revival increases the user's stats based on the type of death.]
An Ultimate-ranked skill! It seemed incredibly overpowered, possibly the highest-ranked skill in this world—but I wasn't sure yet. I couldn't test it because my body was still underdeveloped and immobile. Judging by my growth rate, though, I estimated I could walk within two weeks. Goblins here seemed to grow unusually fast.
Interestingly, these goblins were much smarter than those depicted in fantasy novels back on Earth. They could communicate, though they were still quite simple-minded.

Time Skip
Two weeks passed. My goblin mother continued feeding me, allowing me to grow rapidly. Now that I could walk, I decided to test my skill. I was particularly curious about the "Magicule" stat.
This world felt eerily similar to the one in an anime I once watched—the one about a slime. However, there were differences. For instance, the forest I was in was called Atrast Forest, a name I didn't recognize from the anime. This forest was ruled by Dragon Lord Atrast, and it was named after him.
This world seemed to have a hierarchy of power: three Dragon Lords, nine Demon Lords, and one Hero. Each of these figures was a superpower in their own right, capable of destroying entire kingdoms. The Hero was a legendary figure who once defeated a Demon Lord to protect humanity. While my goblin tribe didn't know much about these powerful beings, this information was enough to convince me that this world was akin to that anime, albeit with unique differences.
Atrast Forest, though vast, wasn't considered a continent. It was undeveloped, and its ruler, Dragon Lord Atrast, seemed indifferent to it, only protecting it because many worshiped him. Various races and monsters inhabited the forest, making it a melting pot of life.

With enough information gathered, I decided it was time to test my skill. Sneaking out of the cave, I walked for about 30 minutes until I encountered a wolf pack. Without hesitation, I charged at them—and died instantly.
As I died, a thought flashed in my mind: Undying Legacy.

100 points added to Magicule.

By the 27th death, the wolves could no longer kill me. I killed them instead. My stats afterward were astonishing:
---
[Updated Status Window]
Name: (Nameless)
Race: Goblin
Skill: Undying Legacy (Ultimate)
Stats:
Magicule: 2,860
Strength: 278
Vitality: 280

It seemed that every revival granted me roughly 10 points in Strength and Vitality, and 100 points in Magicule. Additionally, killing enemies boosted my stats, though the increase appeared to depend on the strength of the enemy.
