Funeral 03

"Dude, you have to get a grip on yourself, there's nothing you can do about it, I know your mom will be praying for you in the heavens".

Gregory patted him on his shoulder as Johnson knelt on his mother's tombstone. He spent the whole day at the graveyard as he kept on shedding hot agonizing tears as he remembered his mother's last words to him

"Johnson, when I'm home, I will prepare your favorite meal as a way of congratulating you on your new job".

She smiled weakly with fear sparkling from her eyes. He held her hands tightly fighting back the tears that had gathered in his eyes

"Of course mom, I will be waiting.

He stood up and glanced at the grave one more time before leaving. Gregory stood by his car as he watched Johnson walked up to him, Johnson looked at him and almost walked away when Gregory's deep voice brought him to a halt

"Get in"

He turned around

"Don't worry, I will be fine, I will just take a cab home. His voice sounding weak. He made a move forward but Gregory was fast enough to hold him back by his hand

"Stop doing this to yourself, get in"

He suddenly burst into tears as he hugged his friend.

Nelly walked downstairs when her phone rang, she immediately picked it up as she settled down for dinner, she suddenly shouted

"What?". She stood up immediately as she ran out of the house.

"What did you say happened to him?"

The doctor jotted down something in his notebook

"It was due to shock, but he will be fine

"Shock?" What could have possibly happened. She asked no one in particular. She thanked the doctor and left promising to visit the next day.
