Chapter 29 - Rescue: Achieved

Once the smoke had cleared, Subaru made his way to the place where Mochi once was. There, lay Mochi.

Or rather, what was left of him.

His lower half, now vaporized, left its indelible shadow on the white walls of the hall. On his right lay the still-breathing Mochi, straining for each breath.

Wow.... Is he a freaking cockroach or what?

Opening his eyes, Mochi lay them upon Subaru, now unmasked. Chuckling with great strain, he commended Suabru for his win, "Well done kid. You have done it, defeated the great demon, Mahavali. Take my head to the Shaolin Temple. They should offer you a huge reward..."

Light dimming from his eyes, he laid his head down into his chest. Laughing in irony, he let some things out from his chest. "*Hah*, *hah*, *hah*, Well, this is a twist of fate. The very beings who I killed all those years ago, cursed me to die horribly. Well, now it's fulfilled."

Standing silence for the once great warrior, Subaru asked him, after a brief moment of hesitation, "W-why did you kill my parents? They didn't do anything to you. Why did you have to do all... this to them?"

Stupefied, Mochi let out his last laugh, warning Subaru. "Kid, d'you really think that I was after that damn amulet in the first place? Oh no, no, no. I'm merely his chess piece, his pawn, in the grand scheme of things. The one who wanted the amulet, the one who actually ordered me to do so, is still alive, and in a very high position at that. Since you've gotten me, I know you'll go for him next. Hah! Wish I was still around to see that happen. What a douchebag he was..."

With that, the man that was was once known as Mochi passed away, like as always he wanted:

A true warrior.

Walking down the damp dungeon, Albert sniffed the air. "Urgh, stinks."

Crinkling his nose in disgust, he sneezed after a drop of moldy wood fell atop his head. "Gerroff of me!" Katz, obviously amused at the sight, fell down his back, laughing uproariously at that.

That was, until a a drop of sewage after feeling into his mouth. "@%^£*d &@;£,dv£ ^×^hrhek..." Watching the scene, Albert Guffawed at the poor cat, cursing better than a sailor.

Bending to his knees, he wiped the 5ears down from his face. "Anyways, you sure that theh are here?" Upon retching the horrid taste from his mouth, the cat, astoundingly, spoke.

"Yep, pretty sure boss. I swear, who doesn't put anti-spyware nowadays. Criminals are so cheap these days..." trotting down tbe path, they reached a giant alcove, where the four members lay inside singular cells, unconscious.

As tbe duo attempted to free them, a voice called out from the back.

"Oi, oi! Watcha doing there old man. This here is property of the cla-"

Kaboom!

Dust falling from the ceiling, Albert brushed it off from his head. "Ah, the kid must've won. Anyways, I would be grateful if you gave these-" As Albert pointed at the Ida family, "-back to us."

Chuckling, Danujo got out his retractable katana, unfolding it. Suddenly, he stroke against them.

That was the last sane thing Danujo saw.

The next thing he knows is that his heads watching his body. Or what remained of it...

He did not know how, but the old fool simply... twisted his fingers in the air. Then he felt himself split into perfect, rectangular prisms. As the old man carried away the family, he saw the cat coming towards him, spitting at his head.

"That's what you get for messing with da boss! Oh, and dont worry about your boss- boss. We'll get him next..."

That was the last thing he saw, before it all turned black...
