Chapter 10 - chapter ten

As I grasped Mr. Alex's hands in mine, our eyes locked in a profound connection. With a resolute tone, I conveyed my decision: "I'll never leave you, no matter what illness you're facing. We'll overcome it together."

His face relaxed, and a warm smile spread across his features. The corners of his eyes crinkled as he chuckled softly. "Thank you, mi amor. And please, drop the formalities."

I smiled, feeling a gentle glow emanate from within. "Alright, honey," I replied, my voice barely above a whisper.

As I turned my face back to his, Mr. Alex's lips met mine in a tender kiss. My eyes widened in surprise, but I couldn't help the flutter in my chest. His gaze locked onto mine, filled with admiration and desire.

I closed my eyelids, and my lashes cast a delicate shadow on my cheeks. My lips parted slightly, inviting the gentle touch. The kiss deepened, our lips molding together in a sensual dance.

Mr. Alex's hands cradled the back of my head, his fingers weaving through my hair. I slid my hands into his shirt, caressing his back, and then moved them to his chest, spreading my fingers across his shirt.

Time stood still as we savored the moment, lost in the sweetness of our slow, tender kiss.

As our lips parted, Mr. Alex struggled to catch his breath. "This is my first time kissing," he whispered, his eyes sparkling with a mix of surprise and delight.

I smiled, my heart skipping a beat. "Mine too," I replied, my voice barely audible.

In that moment, everything else faded away, leaving only the two of us, suspended in a world of our own.

Mr. Alex's eyes sparkled as he confessed, "This is my first time kissing." I stared at him, shocked, my mind racing with incredulous thoughts. "Twenty-eight years old and never kissed? What have you been doing all this time?" I thought, trying to wrap my head around this revelation.

Despite my internal turmoil, I maintained a neutral expression, careful not to embarrass him. Mr. Alex continued, a soft chuckle escaping his lips, "And this is also my first time having a girlfriend, but I'm confident I know how to...take care of myself."

I raised an eyebrow, confusion etched on my face. "If this is your first time kissing or dating, how can you be so sure about...other things?" I asked, trying to clarify his statement.

Mr. Alex's faint smile hinted at a secret. "I watch...educational videos," he replied, his tone matter-of-fact.

I nodded, intrigued. "I see. So, why haven't you had a girlfriend until now?"

Mr. Alex's gaze drifted downward, and he smirked, attempting to conceal his expression. "I had other priorities, and my situation didn't allow for it. I'm...healing, I guess."

I yawned, trying to appear nonchalant. "If you don't want to talk about it, that's fine."

Mr. Alex stood up, gesturing to carry me. "Let me put you to sleep." I feigned resistance, insisting I could walk myself, but he ignored my protests. As he carried me from the living room to my bedroom, I couldn't help but appreciate the gentle care he showed me.

As I slowly emerged from my dream world, I heard a soft, hoarse voice whisper, "Hey sunshine, good morning." The gentle pat on my arm accompanied the warm greeting. I stretched my arms, and my hands curled gently as I turned my torso, gradually coming awake. The enticing aroma of pancakes wafted through the air, making my stomach growl with anticipation.

As I sat up, my blurry eyes focused on the plate beside me, adorned with fluffy pancakes, crispy golden-brown bacon, and vibrant fruits arranged in a visually appealing pattern. The presentation was impressive, making me wonder if Mr. Alex had secretly worked as a chef. A creamy scrambled egg circle accompanied the pancakes, alongside a small pitcher of pure Canadian maple syrup.

"I made you breakfast, I hope you love it," Mr. Alex said, sitting beside me on the bed. My response was a surprised "Wow." This was my first time receiving a breakfast-in-bed surprise from someone I loved, and it felt wonderful to wake up to someone who had been thinking about me.

As the warm sunlight cast a golden glow in the room, I expressed my gratitude, "Thank you." My eyes locked onto Mr. Alex's, filled with warmth, adoration, and affection. A soft smile spread across my face, complemented by the sun's rays.

"It's my pleasure," he replied. "Take a bite before it gets cold." I politely declined, "Oh, sorry, I need to brush my teeth first." Hygiene was essential to me, and eating without brushing my teeth would have left me feeling uneasy.

I quickly got out of bed and headed to the bathroom to freshen up. Upon returning, Mr. Alex began spoon-feeding me, but I insisted he join me instead. We savored the delicious meal together, enjoying every bite and the warmth of each other's company.

As I glanced at Mr. Alex, I thought to myself, "He's cool and cute. I had no idea he had this side to him." Initially, he seemed distant and cold, but now, I realized he just needed someone to love and give him attention. I hoped this love we shared was genuine and would last.

With a sense of calmness and trust, I tilted my head back, relaxed my shoulders, and smiled warmly. My eyes fluttered closed and open again, as I gazed at Mr. Alex, feeling grateful for this newfound connection.
