You don't want to work as any kind of a bouncer or threat response specialist, since Rage and petty violence don't mix well. But security companies need surveillance, training, armory and inventory management, personnel and scheduling, and lots of other peripheral work. The security supervisor at the minimall isn't hiring, but she gives you almost twenty places to check out: light industrial sites that need night watchmen, armored car companies that need people to handle inventory, and even a few companies that sell security equipment.
You hit the streets for hours, hitchhiking twice to get out of the cold, but you get nowhere. Most places either want a driver's license, which you don't have, or long and regular hours, which you can't commit to. The rest are already full up with veterans of America's endless wars or police officers rounding out their salaries. Early in the afternoon, you spend some time placing calls using the phone of a neglected motel lobby to nearby malls and housing complexes, but even the lowest rent-a-cop jobs are filled.
