Chapter 2: First Alliances
Tavypib watched the other competitors spread out across the beach, each reacting differently to the announcement of the rules. Some were visibly terrified, while others, like the imposing Pig, already seemed ready for combat. He knew the next few hours would be crucial. In the initial chaos, fragile alliances would be formed, and he needed to choose carefully who he trusted.
In the distance, he spotted a young woman with tied hair and a firm posture helping a man to his feet. "Vavi," he remembered hearing someone call her. She seemed to have a level head, something rare in that moment of panic.
Tavypib walked towards her.
"Hey," he said, trying to sound calm but firm. "I need allies. Someone with your posture didn't get here by luck."
Vavi stared at him, assessing him for a moment before answering:
"Maybe. But I don't trust anyone who comes straight to me asking for help." Before Tavypib could respond, a new figure appeared: Dywewihu, a tall man with kind eyes and a worried expression. He was holding a makeshift bag, probably something he had found on the beach.
"If we are to survive this, we will have to work together," Dywewihu said. "Individualism can be a quick path to elimination."
Vavi let out a dry laugh.
"You sound like someone who believes this game has fair rules."
"It may not," Tavypib replied, crossing his arms, "but the right alliances can give us an advantage."
After a brief pause, Vavi nodded.
"Fine, but if I find you are more like anchors than allies, I will not hesitate to cut the weight."
