After what felt like several lifetimes, Trygve and the three handpicked archers accompanying her (Cuyler, Hagen, and Ivar) finally made it to the castle's gatehouse without being detected. Which was good. This next phase of their mission relied almost entirely on the element of surprise. The four of them crept into the crowded gatehouse, hugging the walls as they each spread out and moved into position.
Cuyler and Hagen stayed near the entrance, both aiming out towards the archers still loosing arrows into the bailey. There was no telling how many of Olgir's foot soldiers were still standing, if any, but neither of them would shoot until Trygve gave the word.
Meanwhile, Trygve and Ivar approached an enemy officer in the gatehouse who was overlooking the battle. On either side of him were two more samurai who Trygve deemed disposable. She and Ivar both let arrows fly.
