Chapter 9 - 9

Zeke went up to the top floor where there was a lounge exclusively for the Platinum Floor.

When I went up to the lounge with the guidance of the attendant, Reina Drake had already arrived and was sitting on one side.

Behind Reina, there were several upperclassmen following Turnga.

Seeing that sight, Zeke laughed inwardly.

'They're members of a cartel or something.'

To Zeke it seemed like child's play.

When Reina gestured, the cadets belonging to the Tourn family retreated.

Zeke sat across from Reina.

"I'm sorry. People on my side of the family are just weird."

Reina had a short haircut, breaking away from the shaved head she had in her cradle.

Wearing Draker's cadet uniform and the gloves symbolizing her pureblood awakening, Reina looked like a typical Draker knight.

'That's amazing.'

Zeke sensed the energy coming from Reina and realized that she had already opened her lower abdomen and started practicing Aura.

Once again, Zeke felt that the Draker family was a den of monsters.

"Why did you call me?"

Zeke asked Reina point-blank.

I didn't refuse the invitation out of curiosity about the Knight of Lightning, who was the strongest knight of his age in his previous life, but I didn't want to waste time on useless things.

Then the servants began to bring in the food they had prepared.

A plate containing several thick chunks of steak was placed in front of Reina and Zeke.

"Let's talk about that while eating."

Zeke was slightly surprised to see the large amount of steak placed in front of Reina.

'Are you going to eat all that by yourself?'

Although he wasn't the type to eat little, Reina's appetite was beyond common sense.

She cut into the bloody steak and stuffed it into her mouth.

It was Reina who finished a whole piece of steak in an instant.

Reina asked, looking at Zeke, who was staring at her eating the steak in front of him instead of eating it.

"Why is that?"

"No. It's nothing. So why did you call me?"

Reina wiped her mouth with a napkin and looked at Zeke.

"Zeke Draker. I won't beat around the bush. Get the support of the Turn family."

To be sponsored meant to become a member of the Turn family.

Zeke clicked his tongue at Reina's words.

"You called me just to say that? What a disappointment."

"It's not easy to graduate from the Academy without a sponsoring family. It's even harder if you're aiming for Valhalla."

Valhalla.

It was the best upper-level educational institution located in Atlas, the largest city at the center of Midland, the center of the central continent.

Like the academy they are in now, Valhalla was also run by the Draker family.

Valhalla was the best knight training institute where one's future was guaranteed just by entering.

More than 70% of the knight commanders of the kingdoms located in the central continent came from Valhalla.

And not everyone of Draker's bloodline could enter Valhalla.

Only the best of the best were allowed to enter.

Zeke said, looking at Reina.

"It seemed like I wouldn't be able to enter Valhalla because I didn't have any relatives who could give me pocket money."

All of his direct blood relatives, including Zeke, were half-brothers with different mothers.

In the case of the second son, Abel Drake, his mother was a Siemens, so he was receiving support from that family.

Likewise, while his other direct relatives all had great families behind them, Zeke had no maternal family to support him.

His mother died of illness when he was young, and since she was not from a particularly prominent family, nothing was known about her.

Because of that, it was impossible to receive support from any power related to the mother.

And it was Reina who first suggested the sponsorship of the Tourn family, knowing that Zeke had no sponsoring family.

Reina spoke again, chewing and swallowing her steak.

"The sponsorship of the Turn family would not be a bad condition. Unless there is another family that has already agreed to receive sponsorship."

Reina wasn't wrong.

The Turners were one of the main vassal houses of the Draker family.

The tourniquet of power.

Siemens of knowledge.

The gold of Waldeck.

The power of the Tourn clan, one of the three families that support the Drakers, was sure to be of great help to Sieg's growth.

But Zeke firmly rejected Reina's offer.

"No. It's the same for any family. I just don't feel the need to receive support."

When Zeke flatly refused, Reina, who had been continuing to eat, stopped in surprise.

He never thought that Zeke would reject his offer.

Looking at Reina like that, Zeke recalled his memories of Tournga.

'If you get involved with Tourn here, you could be in trouble for life.'

Another word for the turn was the turn of tenacity.

The Tournians, with their unique organizational style and the strongest loyalty, never let go of anything they set their sights on.

There was no other reason why the Turn family had been the leaders of the Drakers' infamous pursuit unit, the 'Pursuit Corps', for generations.

To Sieg, who was planning to graduate from the academy quickly, take only what he needed from Valhalla, and leave the Draker family, Tourn was more of a chain that would hold him back than a strong supporter.

'I'm curious about the secret of the Turn family, but even if I learn it, I'll lose more than I'll gain.'

Reina, who had already cleaned the steak off her plate, looked at Zeke and said.

"You never cease to amaze me, Zeke Draker."

"There will be more surprising things to come."

Zig stood up from his seat and was about to leave, but then stopped.

Then he said to Reina.

"Rayna Draker. Let me tell you something as a favor."

Reina looked at Zeke.

"Your sword is too stiff right now. In my opinion, your strength, Rayna, is not in pushing with force, but in the flexibility that comes from your uniquely elastic body. You don't need to force yourself to be conscious of other men. If you utilize the elasticity you have, you can become several times stronger than you are now."

Reina looked dumbfounded at Zeke's words.

Zeke was the first person to give such direct advice to her, who had been known as a genius since childhood.

Zick, who had given the advice, left the lounge.

Left alone in the lounge, Reina barely came to her senses and thought deeply about Zeke's words.

"I was conscious of other men?"

It was something I had never thought about.

What symbolized the Tournament was power.

That's why Reina also simply followed that family tradition.

'No, maybe I was conscious of it without realizing it.'

Genius was different.

Reina immediately acknowledged her shortcomings.

It was a quick opportunity to become stronger than before.

She looked at the entrance to the lounge where Zeke had disappeared.

'Zeke Draker. What do you see?'

* * *

The next day, the first class of the semester at the academy began.

The class Zeke was assigned to was a place where the most outstanding elites gathered and was called the 'special class'.

He walked around the schoolyard and looked around.

'Ha, it's been a while.'

In my previous life, it was a place filled with only bad memories, but after awakening as a pureblood, there was no heaven like this one.

'After all, there is power and authority, and we have to see it.'

Unlike the places where regular students take classes, the special classes were held in a separate building.

He climbed the stairs with a curious look on his face, as it was a place he had never been to in his previous life.

As I climbed the stairs, I saw the special class building.

'I guess that's the building.'

It was smaller than the general student buildings that accommodated thousands of students, but it was still enormous when you consider that it was a building for special classes that only accommodated a few hundred students.

It was when Zeke was trying to enter the building.

"Zeke Draker."

A voice was heard calling him.

Zeke looked back.

"Owen."

Owen Siemens was with a few other students.

Looking at the school uniform, I saw that it was wearing a badge symbolizing the Siemens family.

Judging from that, they seemed to be cadets belonging to the Siemens family.

They looked at Zeke warily.

Zeke chuckled inwardly at him.

'Are they already friendly? Anyway, this family has been corrupt from the start.'

Looking around, I saw that most of the students in the special class had formed their own groups, large or small.

The only one who was alone without a group was Zeke.

Owen approached Zeke.

He opened his mouth slowly.

"I invited you to dinner yesterday, but I didn't get a response. Did you not get my call?"

Zeke said to Owen.

"No, I got it."

Owen said in a calm voice.

"But why was there no answer?"

Then Zeke said to Owen.

"You're funny. When you ask me to eat, I have to answer every single question."

At the sound of Zeke's sharp voice, one of the upperclassmen from Siemens who had been behind him stepped forward.

He was a guy whose muscles were bulging out from under his school uniform.

"I feel like I am being too rude to your kindness."

Zeke spoke to him.

"What are you?"

He said with a frown.

"Huh. A freshman doesn't know me. This is really… … ."

Zeke didn't want to talk any further, so he just turned away.

That was when.

Whoosh!

The capital flew towards Zig.

He reflexively reached out and grabbed the water bottle.

Woof!

'Come?'

The capital was filled with the power of Aura.

Zig blocked the water with his hand, then released his strength and used his speed to retreat.

"How is it, are you coming to your senses now?"

The upperclassman who had thrown the water at him released his hand with a confident expression.

"My name is Durban Roswell. I am known here as Durban the Tragedy. I am the one who will teach you manners in place of Master Owen."

'The Tragedy of Durban?'

I wondered what kind of nicknames students without even being qualified to be journalists were talking about.

Zeke looked at Owen standing behind Durban, dumbfounded.

Far from thinking of stopping Durban, he was watching Zeke's reaction.

'This is how this kid comes out.'

I didn't like the way Siemens was plotting sinister schemes behind the scenes.

"Zeke said, clenching his fists.

"I'm your manners instructor today. Bite down hard."

In an instant, Zig's new form disappeared.

Shhh!

Zeke weaved his way into Durban's body.

Durban smiled confidently as he saw Zig's fist flying towards his stomach.

'How cute. A freshman's fist.'

Durban focused his aura on his abdomen.

With the addition of aura to his steel-like abs, his stomach became as hard as a plate of iron.

It was obvious that the fist of a young freshman like me would be crushed in an instant.

Phew!

'huh?'

Durban doubted his ears.

Something sounded strange.

Zig's fist, which cut through the wind, landed squarely in Durban's stomach.

Boom!

Wood crunch!

"Keuh-uh-uh!"

Durban thought his entire abdomen had been ripped off.

Zig's attack, which had started to run, did not stop.

After closing the gap with a quick kick, he turned to the opposite side and kicked Durban's thigh with a low kick.

Phew!

Boom!

The same sound as before rang out.

"Euuuuugh… … ."

Durban fell down, unable to stand up due to the shock that made his thighs vibrate.

Zeke's attack was so fast that he couldn't even try to protect his thigh with an aura.

Durban's face turned pale.

'Oh, is it broken?'

Zik approached the fallen Durban with his fists clenched.

Durban waved his hands in embarrassment.

"Okay, wait a minute!"

Anyway, it was Durban who started the fight first.

There was no need for Zeke to consider his circumstances.

"The Tragedy of Durban? You fell asleep talking nonsense!"

Zigg literally stomped on Durban, his ribs out and his thigh bone broken.

Owen and the other upperclassmen just watched Zeke beating them in silence.

Zig, who had been somewhat relieved, kept stepping on his injured leg.

"Kwaaaaak!"

Durban's screams filled the special class classroom.

The other cadets in the surrounding groups looked at the scene with interest.

Zeke said to Owen.

"Who is behind the tragic Durban? Come out quickly. I'm busy."

Owen glanced at the fallen Durban and then turned his head.

He said to Zeke.

"Zeke Draker. How arrogant of you."

Zeke looked at Owen with a look of annoyance.

"You're a piece of shit. You old bastard."

Owen stared at Zeke for a moment, then silently led the other Siemens senior cadets into the special class building.

The Durban of Tragedy was left abandoned, groaning at Zig's feet.

Zeke clicked his tongue as he watched Owen's back.

"Anyway, the Siemens guys are all unlucky."

Before we knew it, Durban was running away, dragging his legs.

Zeke saw the sight, walked over and kicked him in the side once more.

"Ugh!"

Durban's screams echoed through the schoolyard again.
