I was driving on my way to my baby sapphire technology, When I saw carol standing by the bus station waiting for the bus,she looked anxious and was constantly looking at her wrist watch, but for some weird reasons which is still unknow to me I just love irritating her, I derive pleasure getting a reaction out of her and seeing her all worked up and she hulky, I was tempted to drive away, but a nagging feeling in my twisted heart reminded me to be a good little person and actually lend an helping hand to someone in need.
"Fine" I muttered pulling over
"Get in", I said
"It's fine, the bus will be here soon" she replied nonchantly
"Carol, you can't put your emotions above your duty" I said in George styles voice
"What is that supposed to mean" she asked not catching my phrase,
"Just get in will ya", I said with a little bit of force, don't blame me she gets on my nerves without even trying
"Fine"she said stepping in and putting on the seat belt
"So are you always such a happy ball of sunshine, or the your dog died when you were six?" I asked
"Nope, you just brings out the worst in me", she said indifferently
"Well, I try my best i said smirking, it shows I'm actually a great influence on you

She ignored me and was looking the other way, she wasn't saying anything at all and it was surprisingly disturbing.
The silence was getting on my nerves, and I couldn't take it anymore, "Such a lovely weather we've got today,Doctor martha you know I love it when the sun is out and shining like that, so what's your favorite time of the year is it winter or summer?" I asked trying to get her to say something but obviously I was not doing a very great job
"Is it just me or you just can't shut up Mr wintson" she said with amusement dancing in her eyes
"Well it always seem like you have a response for everything I say,so seeing you this silent is kinda ruining the whole thing we have going on between us you know" I said
"As anyone ever told you,that you are actually a very weird and annoying guy", she said looking at me
"Well, I think that's your personal opinion my friend, a lot of people actually think I'm quite charming, especially the ladies", I said wiggling my eyebrow
And she scoffed at that, but I could clearly see she wasn't irritated at all and she even looked amused and weirdly I find it refreshing to see her like this,
"So, you're a Doctor who can kicks ass how is that even possible"
"You are the Ceo of what appears to be one of the biggest company in America, yet you act like a two year old but here we are" she replied sacarstically
And I was fucking speechless, I was thinking of a comeback when she suddenly said "We are here, Thank you very much Mr witson, I really appreciate", she said and lts definitely Caroline 1 Derrick Nail

I stepped into the office and saw doctor Byran looking worried
"Good morning, Doctor Byran", I greeted with a smile
"Good morning, He replied, and handed a letter to me, we got a big situation" he said
"What's wrong', I said reading the content of the letter he handed to me
" There is big trouble, We have been asked to evacuate this premises, he replied, we were given two months to leave, because this building has to be destroyed after the period given to us, what do we do" he asked
"They can't just do this to us, this building has been existing for the past 15 years, they can't just categorise it as government property all of a sudden, it's wrong "
"It's the government they can do anything, he sad but, I spoke to a good lawyer, and he said he is going to look into the case and he will get to us on any chance we got on this"
Suddenly, I felt like my head was about to split, this is not a great way to start the day
"How many person's know about this?", I asked
"Just me and you" he replied
"Good, let's keep it like that, keep everybody calm, till we solve this okay" I said
"Alright boss", he said with a salute
He was looking at the door and I looked at what caught his attention and I saw Mr wiston with sunglasses on, he walked in slowly like he was the main character in a poorly scripted high school drama as he walked in attracting attention from everyone, male and female,
Am so not in the mood for this today
"Who are you and what are you doing here" Doctor Byran said in a suprised tone, which sounded very strange to me.
"Well,I'm Santa Claus and I came here to meet my fairy godmother", Mr witson said sweetly, removing his glasses as he took a glance at me
"Wait you are Derrick Witson", Doctor Byran said
"Yeah and I guess you're Doctor Brieanna", he said glancing at his tag which obviously spelled Doctor Byran Chester boldly.
"It's Doctor Bryan", Bryan said looking upset, well I don't blame him he has a gift, In making people go insane
I cleared my throat, "what are you doing here Mr witson", I said calmly trying to reduce the tension growing between this two
"Well I came here to give you my comeback we didn't quite finish our little game, before you left abruptly"
"You are not serious are you", I asked
"Yeah I totally am, I don't like losing especially in our little argument", he said with a dashing smile which was so irritating at the moment
"Is he for real", I said so frustrated right now
"I can escort him out, if you want", Doctor Bryan offered
"It's fine, i have this under control, I'll take care of this myself I said politely you can excuse us" I said to Doctor Byran
"Okay, he replied leaving us alone, I looked around and saw everyone looking at us, follow me to my office" I whispered to him
"Seems like you have a secreat admirer" he said sitting and behaving like he owns the place
"What do you mean?" I asked
"It seems like Brieanna boy has the hots for you" he said, and I decided to ignore him because he was clearly living in delusion
"Seriously, why are you here, Mr witson, besides you were claiming you were so busy this morning, so why are you not in your precious little office but causing chaos in mine".
"Trust me my office is definitely not small and Anna texted that you didn't accept my little appreciation , so have come here to donate it in person".
"Okay,. Thanks you can see the cashier over there and make your deposit ,
Anything else" I said , because I really needed him out of my office right this instant so I could think
"I can help you", he said in a serious tune
"And what are you helping me with", I asked
"Well I didn't mean to eavesdrop but I kinda heard the conversation you had with Brieanna earlier, just a little though"
"And I frowned at that Mr witson, I don't appreciate you listening to my conversation that an invasion of my privacy and I assure you that I can handle it myself and I definitely do not need your help I said angry at his blatant invasion into my personal affair"
"It's fine I'm sure miss capable and Brieanna boy has everything under control, sorry for been such a bother
Well I'll take my leave now, if you would excuse me he said putting on his sunglasses, here is my card Incase Brieanna disappoints"
He walked to the door and he turned to me
"For someone who claims to love this place and everything it stands for you sure have a lot of pride,but you know something sweetheart, pride always comes before a nasty mean ass fall", he said leaving me speechless this time

"Hey babe", Mel said walking in with two plates of Alfredo pasta, chicken and a bottle of wine handing one plate to me. She suggested that we have movie night together since I don't really appreciate eating out, so we agreed to watch the Gossip girls
"Oh my god, mel your hands are blessed , this is so delicious", I mourned. "Have you ever thought of opening your own restaurant" I asked with mouthful of pasta
"Yes I have, but I'm kinda scared" she said
"Why" I asked
"You know have never seem to get myself to do something for too long, at first I get excited at the prospect of starting something new but in a long run I get bored have never truly learn how to be stable in anything including my relationships, I'm jealous of your dedication sometimes"
"Mel, I don't know about that, but one thing I know for sure is that you're an amazing cook and will do great as a chef. Your cooking skills sure puts some of these five star restaurant chefs to shame".
"Okay I'll think about it she replied with a smile , so what's up with you, how is work and Doctor Bryan" she asked with enthusiasm .
"Bryan is amazing as always and why are you asking about him, Wait, I know that look Mel,I saw how you were looking at him the other day, he is a very committed guy and not a plaything", I said
"Oh calm down mama bear, he is cute and and really hot, I admire him and that's all, but I don't think he will notice me that much, because he already likes someone" she said looking at me mischievously
"Why is everyone being delusional, Bryan doesn't like me like that, he is just a friend, besides If he had such feelings, why has he not said anything, we've know each other for years", I said
"When it comes to the matters of the heart, you my friend, you're not that bright" , she said taking a spoon of her pasta, anyway "How is work" she asked with her mouthful
"I took a deep breathe, work is great but we have a serious problem and frankly I don't even know what to do"
"What's going on" she asked in a worried tone
"We received a notice from the property regulation agency that we have to vacate the center within the next 62 days"
"What how is that even possible, that center has been in existence for more than a decade, what are you going to do"
"I don't know but Bryan said he has a good lawyer that could help us out".
"I'm so sorry Carl, this is really awful she said with sympathy".
"But Mr witson offered to help" I said
"Mr witson, wait do you mean derrick Witson"
"Yes, he came to the center and heard my conversation with Bryan, so he offered to help" I explained
"Wait a minute, I'm super lost, what in the world was Derrick Witson doing in your office" she asked surprised
And I told her about my friendship with Mrs Carson and how I had to check up on Allie at her cousin's house and the said cousin turned out to be Mr witson
"Wow is this a movie, or is this fate ,she said with a scheming smile. but you said yes to his help right" she asked
"Of course not, I politely declined" I replied softly taking a sip of wine
"I'm so glad, he came at that moment wait.. did you just say you politely declined", she asked with her eyes sparkling with something which seem like disappointment at the realization of what I did
"Yes I replied", a little bit scared
"Caroline jocque Johnson, what is your problem, i know that big ass pride of yours was going to bring you trouble one day, you have really serious issues with receiving help, but this is not just about you, a lot of people has put in so much sacrifice into that place, think about the kids who gets to have free treatment, all the other doctors that has agreed to give their all, you can't allow your pride destroy everything they have worked for , remember this was uncle ted's life work, do you want to let all of these go down the drain because of your pride". She said really pissed,and my mind drifted back to Mr witson words "Pride comes before a nasty mean ass fall".
"Stop making me feel like I'm such a nasty person, just because I refused his help, beside Byran and I are looking for a solution already", I said and I felt like I was going to cry any moment from now, maybe that after effect of the wine was kicking in
"Carl, she said softly, I know you always want to take care of things on your own,you have always been independent and strong, with a mind of your own and I admire that big time . but it doesn't have to be about you all the time, the burden doesn't always have to be on your shoulders every time, receiving help from others is also part of what makes you human, Carl. You know there comes a time when you have to swallow your pride, well this is that grand moment, you have to swallow it and chug it down, And you know Derrick Witson was definitely not bluffing when, he said he could help"
"I was silent for a minute, okay fine I'll think about it, now stop being a total kill joy" I said.
"Okay babe", she replied, sorry for yelling at you she said.
"It's alright I deserved it" I reply waving her of, I guess she noticed I needed to think so her full attention returned to the movie,
Few minutes later, Mel was sound asleep, snoring, so much for girl time, I muttered I picked the plates and the empty bottle of wine and took them to the kitchen, I was too lazy to do anything,so I'll handle it later, I came back with a blanket and covered her. I sat down and took Mr witson card out of my purse, contemplating if I should give him a call. Mel's words where playing in my head swallow your pride and chug it down , I decided to put on my big girl pants and picked my phone and dialed the number, anticipating his annoying voice, surprisingly he picked up immediately like he has been waiting
