Tesarius did not wait for Edward to reach his quarters when he heard the Marquess had arrived in the Palace. Given the urgency and importance of the matter, Tesarius could not wait for his friend to come to him, rather he'd go to him if necessary.
He met the Marquess in the stable, just as Edward stepped down from his stallion and was handing the reigns to the stable boy.
"Marquess!"
At the voice of his Emperor, Edward turned around in surprise, clearly not expecting to see him here of all places. Quickly, he bowed his head in greeting, followed by the rest of the population present while Tesarius's train of attendees tried to keep up with his long strides.
"Your Majesty, I was on my way to see you."
"No need for that, as I'm here now." Tesarius quickly dismissed, getting to the point. "What did you find?"
A silence fell over them, as if Edward was contemplating whether to tell Tesarius or not. He was going to say it anyway, question was, how?
