Sophia and her boyfriend were like gum stuck to a shoe. They were seen everywhere today in school and was so obsessed with each other. She was still doing well in her studies and joseph helped with it too.
It was holiday already and she was preparing to go back home.
"So we'll be seeing next semester then", joseph said as he drove towards the airport.
"Yeah", Sophia replied feeling sad about it. "I'm gonna miss you", she confessed.
"Me too, my love".
Joseph helped her carry her box out from the booth while she stood by the side watching. Her flight was to take off in the next 20 minutes.
They talked for a while, hugged and departed at last.
"I love you". That was the last sentence Sophia heard then the plane took off.
When she reached Lagos' airport, she saw her family waiting for her. She became emotional because she hadn't seen them in a very long time and she missed them very much.
Her younger brother rushed up to her and gave her a very big hug. She hugged him back and they both walked up to the rest of the family.
"Hey my darling, how are you?" her dad asked giving her a hug too."
"I am fine daddy", she replied with a smile.
They all greeted each other and helped her with her luggage. She saw that her dad came with his car, so she sat in the front with her dad while Joshua and Daniel sat at the back?
"Where is mommy and Olivia?" Sophia asked her father who was driving seriously.
"Your mom's at work and Olivia too. So they couldn't come but you will see them at home."
"That's fine".
Her brothers were telling her stories throughout the drive and Sophia told them about her school too. Few minutes later, they reached their house.
"Home Sweet Home", Sophia said in her head. This was home and she missed it.
She settled down in her room and Daniel prepared food for her while she freshened up.
"So little pumpkin, I see that you are all grown now". Sophia teased.
Daniel chuckled and replied: "Well sissy, I am 16 and no more a kid. Besides, I am in ss3 and in few months' time, I will be graduating from secondary school."
"Yeah, I see that."
After eating, she got into her room and laid on her bed. She was exhausted from the long journey and needed rest. But that didn't go well for her because she had a call immediately she wanted to close her eyes.
It was Joseph. She sat up immediately, cleared her throat and picked the call.
"Hey baby", joseph greeted over the phone.
"Hey there", she responded smiling.
"You home".
"Yeah I am".
"I miss you already. I just wished to see you right now".
Sophia smiled at his sweet words biting her fingers. They talked for over an hour and ended the call.
Sophia finally slept but not for long because her mom and sister finally came back from work.
Her mom hugged her tightly and praised her looks. Her sister gave her a hug too. They went outside and sat down. Her mom had a lots of things to tell her, same as Sophia.
Sophia told them all about school but missed the boyfriend part cause she knew they will all freak out.
Yeah, her parents wouldn't like it if they knew she was dating in school instead of studying seriously. She told them about Favour and how she had been a great help to her.
"Does she comes from Lagos too?" her mom asked.
"Yeah sure, but she's still at Calabar."
"Well, anytime she comes back here, please invite her over so we could thank her." Her mom suggested.
Sophia gave her a smile cause she knew her mom had a kind heart. She nodded her head as an answer.
They talked more till evening, ate and slept till the next day.
